Kim and Donna, sisters who escaped from certain death when their parents were murdered. They were taken in by their Aunt Lisa, who taught them her hustle and how to survive. Once the last of their family was taken away, they had to find out who was trying to get their revenge. Donna, the thinker of the two, came up with a plan for them to follow. However, Kim the weaker of the two veered from the plan putting them both in jeopardy. This was a predictable storyline, but it was entertaining enough to keep my attention.

There were a few lulls when the girls were going back and forth over next steps in their plan or who could be out for revenge. The narrator Ellis Park did a good job with the material given.

I enjoyed the ending, however I was still baffled why their parents allowed both girls to endure what they went through. From the beginning I did not trust Keraun and their Aunt Lisa was too all about robbing people not really caring to teach Donna & Kim about the what if something happened. I liked Donna's character because she was a bit cautious about people, but Kim seem to be more naive at times and didn't want to listen to those who loved her. Overall this was another good Carl Weber Kingpin book.

This book was literally a copy of a book called The Circle ... another urban book with only two small differences.

The two Treasures (Hernandez and Blue) can always be counted on to provide an entertaining read. This one leapt into the action and didn't top until the end.
Two sisters (Donna and Kim) who lost their parents at a very young age (their parents disappeared after a home invasion and no one knows what happened to them.) are raised by their aunt Lisa. What they learn from her is how to pull licks to provide each of them having a lot of hood rich victims over the years.
Then, everything starts to go down hill. Someone is coming after them, their aunt is murdered and they are the main suspects. With everyone they scammed over the years, it could be anyone.
You'll figure out the villain early on. It's a short, easy read. But, enjoyable.

I can't say either way whether I liked or disliked the storyline. I'll just say that it appeared to be slightly different than what the KINGPINS' Series storylines normally had been.
BUT MAINLY, I'LL CONTEND THAT MR. WEBER NEEDS TO INVITE MS. HERNANDEZ BACK TO WRITE THE FAMILY BUSINESS SERIES! AT LEAST SHE KNEW & KNOWS THE CHARACTERS BETTER THAN WHO MR. WEBER CURRENTLY HAS RUINING WHAT WE KNEW OF THE DUNCAN FAMILY!

This installment of the Carl Weber's Kingpins series started off with a bang! I felt the story line became a little predictable once Aunt Lisa died and I wanted to shake some sense into Kim almost the whole book. Overall great read.

Very good read. I just still have so many questions. I don’t understand why the parents didn’t send help as soon as they heard about aunt Lisa, but then again, I guess it wouldn’t have been a great read after all if they did.🤷🏾‍♀️

Didn't like ending

Expected a better ending. Felt like story was rushed and it didn't complete the entire tale being told. Need more

It started out strong. The middle was a little rocky. Then it got interesting. I never tell the end. Two Stars for this. Moving on to the next in the kingpin series.

This book was pretty good. I never would've guessed the ending of this book. It just felt like you were going along with the sister's everyday life but it wasn't going anywhere. I still enjoyed it

I enjoyed this book. I randomly picked it because my book I was listening to ended and I was in traffic in hands Free GA.

I’m pretty down for thugs, love, drugs and danger and this book had all of that. Plus it was by Treasure Hernandez one of my favorite authors.

I would not have guessed the ending. It’s worth the read.

I used my library card and downloaded the audiobook for free on the Hoopla App.

This book was straight to the point in your face and every one already knew who was doing what except for the main characters. Which might I add become annoying at times due to them being so clueless.
