I loved this. Angela’s books always captivate me and this was no different. It was well worth the wait.

If you are a fan of Angela Verdenius this book won’t disappoint. It reminded me of her Gully Fall’s series because of the friend group that is heavily involved in this series. If you haven’t read a book by this author you can expect laughs and a book that is overall a nice feel good read with little drama, just enough to keep you entertained and often involving a cat. I liked both Emma and Shane and I loved Katie, I can’t wait for her book and I hope she ends up with (view spoiler)

This story hit me directly to my heart and mind, on several occasion I laughed until I cried and then laughed again. The tale is whimsical and sassy, it ardently embraces life, and I miss the world she created after the book was over. These, Angela Verdenius' stories, are the books that cheer me up, inspire, and take away from any book-slump I fall into.
One of the reasons I love these books so earnestly is the characters. They are just like us, they have faults and weaknesses, they have curves

Another home run for Angela Verdenius!! I was so excited to read her newest creation and it did not fail!
Right from the beginning she develops rich, multidimensional characters. I knew I would like Emma right from the start! She’s kind, sweet, vulnerable- which meant I could hardly wait to “meet” the man she would be matched up with. And oh Shane- funny, outgoing, teasing, and relatable! I was rooting for them right from the start! Then to add in all the supporting characters just made the tape

Her run in with her new boss, Doc’s son Shane, leaves her feeling unsettled and nervous. Shane would like to get to know her better but Emma throws up so many barriers that he resorts to wooing CK in order to reach Emma. Much too long and a recycling of characters. Nothing like the writing of earlier series. The characters had no pull. I didn't want to route anyone on.
