A Joyfully Jay review.

4 stars

Come Back is a lovely coda to one of my favorite series, the District Line series. While this book could be read as a standalone, you’d only be reading a cute little book about a rockstar and a footballer. You’d be missing the growth from both of the characters and their relationships. In the first two books, we saw Sebastian as a troubled, bitter young man, taken advantage of by his father’s personal assistant, angry at the world, drowning in one-night stands and d

Come Back brings the District Line series to a close. If you're familiar with the series, it follows the romance between Jay and Seb, and what a whirlwind it has been. This pair has certainly had their ups and downs, but they're both so darn lovable, faults and all, that I couldn't help but root for them. Those ups and downs continue with this one, and these two face more than their fair share of angst. The only real drawback for me is that I felt like the story was a bit too drawn out at times. ...more

I suppose I fit the definition of what Jay and Seb call 'a soppy git'. I find myself cheering our two protagonists along the trials they face as they go through the motions of life while cohabiting. The characters in this series never fail to move me, which has been a particular delight in the course of this story. I wept with joy when Jay makes a major decision, and the author succeeded at keeping me on edge in the build-up to that moment. I was much less impressed with the casual wrap-up of Se ...more

As the third book in the series, this was the wrap up of the relationship between Sebastian and Jay.

Jay is taking some flak for coming out in the last year, as is his team. He and Seb have decided that they won't discuss their relationship to the public, but when Seb's band makes it to the big time, he has a live interview and can't help himself.

Honestly, this book didn't do much for me. I have to admit that I skimmed a lot in the first half. I was really searching for a plot line, but didn't re

I really liked this part of the series. The main characters went through a lot with their relationship. There was a lot of drama with Jay and Seb this time. I think that the story was well written. I enjoyed it a lot.

Another five stars for this last part in the trilogy, even if at times I wanted to shake both Seb and Jay till their teeth rattled. Lack of communication x 100 here, but it sucked me right in and like the other two books I had trouble putting it down.

I didn’t like the first of the book. Jay and Seb weren’t close at all and nothing really happened. Then the drama started, which I loved but I still felt there stayed so much distance between them. The sexy times were reduced to one time dammit!

Seb and Jay have had a long journey.

These two have had a lot of trials but have come shining through. I have loved their story from beginning to end.

Love it

Great storyline. The whole football thing was very well written. Let's hope that someday this will be the norm and not just fantasy

Brought up in the relatively small town in Hertfordshire, I managed to do what most other residents of the town try and fail. Leave.

Going off to study at a West London University, I realised there was a whole city out there just waiting to be discovered, so much like Dick Whittington before, I never made it back home and still endlessly searches for the streets paved with gold; slowly coming to th
