Mastering the Sicilian
The Sicilian Defence is arguably the most important of all chess openings. This text explains it in terms of typical plans and themes, rather than diving into dense reference material. The reader can grasp typical pawn structures and ideas before progressing to more advanced theory.

This is a somewhat disconnected introduction to the Sicilian Defense. As a book for intermediate players, it should have been more systematic, building the readers understanding of the opening step by step. I admit that this task is far from trivial given the enormous scope of the most popular chess opening, but I was still rather unsatisfied by the result.
