Who is Nexus? Galactic assassin or planetary savior? A unique scientific phenomenon, or an awesome source of power to be controlled and exploited? The man called Nexus is these things and more. Fueled by the force of raging suns, driven by tortured dreams of murder and vengeance, Nexus hunts the ruthless killers in the universe -- while hoping to someday find the peace he craves.
Nexus Volume Two collects Nexus 6-10, published by First Comics.
The bulk of the book is taken up by a trip to the Bowl Shaped World, Baron's homage to Philip Jose Farmer's World of Tiers. The rest of it is Nexus going about his business and a government forming on Ylum.
Steve Rude's art is top notch, as always. His minimalist style is right in my wheelhouse these days. Baron's PJF homage was a fun adventure yarn. Nexus going about his business of executing murders was par for the course.
This wasn't my favorite of the Steve Rude drawn Nexus books but it's still pretty good. 3.5 out of 5 stars.
