Not a good story

I was given an ARC for a honest review.
I’m very conflicted. I loved it but then I didn’t. I feel so much. I felt the character development was there but then lacking. I felt lost but then I understood. I loved the characters then I didn’t. This book just took me for a trip. It’s not your typical JS Cooper book. It’s a separate cookie, but still worthy of a read. I was given an ARC for an honest opinion. This story was a bit dark. Evie, a naive girl, wants to be an investigative reporter and gets caught up in dangerous games. Grant & Tyler are dark characters that have the reader on edge, trying to figure out what they are up to the whole time. It was entertaining but I felt like it ended abruptly.. I would have needed a little more wrap up to the story. It was still an entertaining story.
This story was dark. I read it in the 7 Nights of Sin Box set which I recommend highly. Two brothers pick up women and play mind games with them, but they met their match with Evie. Evie meets Grant & goes in for a one night stand and from there the confusion, darkness, and WTH moments start. I must say that it kept me on the edge with the betrayals, lies, and warnings from outsiders. This is a very different type of story but a very satisfying one.
Evie, Grant and Tyle will keep you mesmerized. What a whirlwind read. Fast-paced and, full of steamy action guaranteed to keep your Kindle on fire. Well written with interesting characters and an entertaining, sexy read. A little dark, a little thriller and a little crazy. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

This was a mind bender with out going overboard! I was ready for the story to take even more twists and turns but it thankfully ended and very tastefully I think too!! Playing with Fire was a very intriguing read. It's a bit different than I expected it to be especially with the love triangle with the two guys. Evie seems a bit loose ...lol

Things are certainly not what they seem at the Slate Manor. I'm still left with a what the heck feeling. Such terrible lies and deception. Games that go wrong. Animal attraction. Friends that are not trustworthy. It's all enough to make for a suspenseful story

This was a good short read. I read it in a few hours but I enjoyed every single minute! This story was very different to Mrs. Cooper's other books but I was very impressed with dark and steamy scenes. Get your copy and you won't regret it ;)

I love this author books. This one was ok. It don’t really hold my attention. I skipped to the end.

I’ve read this book but the older version, but because I read the older one a while ago, it was like reading it all new again.
This wasn’t a bad book. You get the HEA your looking for. This book was a bit different than the others I’ve read from her but I still enjoyed it. Excited to see what else she comes out with.
