A plan is exposed, centuries in the making and so sinister not even the legend himself could have predicted the depth of its impact on the world. In his lifetime Stefano Terenzio had a merciless ambition for absolute power. Two generations later the shock wave he ignited was still being felt. Now, as the world inches closer to 2012 sides are chosen, families divide and an ...more

It’s hard for me to put The Awakening into words for you to understand how much I really enjoyed it. But let me try…

In the beginning, I was thrust into a world I knew nothing about. But as I turned each page I found myself surrounded by heavy emotions: family loyalty, trust, honor, betrayal, vengeance, love, lust. Twists and turns were intricately woven into the novel that had me wanting more. The plot was never really simple; I did have to re-read the entire beginning to get a better sense of t

I vowed this year to read more science fiction. So when I was asked to review Synarchy: Book 1: The Awakening I said yes. I probably should have said no. It's one of a handful of "did not finish" books that I am reviewing this year.

The book is one of those stories involving two powerful families with a feud going back to the beginning of time and across dimensions. It's a feud that involves the well being of the world and perhaps the universe. Of course everything will come to a head on December

There aren't many times that I read a book and actually have to put it down to give my brain a rest. Most books are highly entertaining and give my brain a workout without taxing it too much. SYNARCHY: BOOK 1: THE AWAKENING took my brain through a full, multi day marathon. The story was complex and the world unique. For me, the best way to describe SYNARCHY is by simply saying that author DCS created a story where the reader didn't continue as a reader. She really brought us down into the pages ...more

My review.
I was extremely excited and filled with excitement and trepidation when I was approached to read and review The Synarchy Series. Synarchy Book 1: The Awakening. Excitement, because every book is an adventure. Trepidation because although I love to watch Sci - Fi I have found that reading the genre is, for me, not a pleasant experience. I have read few and liked even less. So I started on Synarchy, The Awakening with torn emotions. At first you meet aliens. I like aliens, especially th

Synarchy: Book 1- The Awakening is certainly a book that is hard to describe. The plot is so intricate and the characters so plentiful that to describe it would take a lot of time, and probably give away more of the storyline than I want to disclose. So, to keep it short, Marcello Terenzio is on his deathbed and summons his triplet grandchildren--Vasco, Lucien, and Simone-- to finish what they started in their past lives: the Ascension. The Ascension is opposed by a group of creatures known as t ...more

The reader follows the lives of multiple characters, most of them being from the Terenzio family. The Terenzios sort of remind me of a major Mafia family, in that they hold their territory with an iron fist. But, many conflicts have torn the family apart, some turning traitorous against each other.

At the beginning we see Marcello Terenzio on his death bed, speaking to his grandchildren (they’re triplets). He sends the triplets on a mission to uncover the truth of The Awakening and behind Earth,

**I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review**

So when I sat down to write this review, I knew that I needed to write some sort or summary. This is incredibly hard because the plot is so intricate that you can't explain it in just a few sentences. But I'll try my hardest.

The Terenzio's are a family, something like a mob family that have widespread power and influence throughout the country. They monitor everyone on their island and everything. The patriarch of the fami

Full of intrigue and deep family connections, Synarchy Book 1: The Awakening, is a book that will suck you in and not let you go until the very last page. If you are any sort of fan of the mafia-family style of story with a sci-fi kind of feel and plenty of action, then you’d better have snacks with you because you won’t want to put it down.

DCS has created a world from all the best genres. She combines action with conspiracy theory, love and betrayal with a serious threat on mankind. She has wri

Not being a fan of sci-fi, I read this book on recommendation by a friend who isn't into sci-fi novels either, but who enjoyed this book immensely. Synarchy left me on the fence. I got the gist of this well-written story and I loved how all the different elements played a role in turning it into a very intriguing read, but I had to backtrack often to find my feet again with all the alternating points of view and familial structures. It was a good enough read for me to finish it, but I don't thin ...more

Do you like fantasy? Do you like mafia or related books? How about conspiracy theories? Or books about myths, legends, or gods? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you will want to read this book.

The book opens with a man dying and telling his three, triplets, grandchildren that he is sending them to the vault. Meanwhile, a dome under the Antarctica collapses, taking with it many people who are thousands of years old, but one escapes. He is brought to the surface by two scientists who

Synarchy: The Awakening has many layers and has both a complex plot and three dimensional characters. The reader has the privilege of following around the Terenzio family- a family that somewhat reminds me of mobsters...the mafia. Unfortunately for this family, some internal rivalries have turned traitorous.

This is an extremely detailed, predictable novel with tons of action and mystery. Don't pick it up if you're looking for a light, quick read. Though I wouldn't reread this and it isn't one o

DCS considers herself a revolutionary, a spiritual activist, and a story-teller. Few things make her as happy as putting pen to paper, and creating new worlds to share with others.

The science-fiction thriller author of critically acclaimed, The Synarchy Series. Synarchy Book 1: The Awakening and Synarchy Book 2: The Ascension, are the first in what will be an eight book series. The novels have bee
