This is a compendium of military writings from antiquity to the mid-20th century, compiled by Liddell Hart prior to his death. He selects a couple of pages from the author's most famous or important publication and groups them together in the hope of introducing the reader to the key points from each writer. Overall, it is worth a read for anyone that wants an understanding of which writers influenced Liddell Hart in his life, or if you are new to reading military history.
