The whole concept of this cookbook is quite stupid. No one has the mixes on hand to make these recipes. So no meaningful time is saved, as you will have to go to the store for multiple mixes. The thing is if she had based the recipes off making from scratch, giving measurements for flour, sugar, butter, then it would gave been a much easier book to use. I bought mine used, thinking it must use a master mix or 2 toget the cookies made. Not so. If a person is in a hurry, they will not stop at the store to get mix and go home, they will just buy premade cookies. If you are craving cookies at 1030 at night wanting to cook, this book is unlikely to work for you either. If she had added simple measurements for flour, sugar, egg, butter, instead of relying on store bought doughs and mixes then the book might have been useable. Instead it's just a lazy mess. Im sure they are good, but the sheer number of odd ingredients that no average cook has in their pantry and lack of real measurements of staples means this book will not be useable for a good number of cooks.

A great cookbook! I loved how simple and easy the instructions were and how nice it was to have shortcuts like the use of premade cookie dough or box cookie mix to make it easier to bake. There were plenty of recipes and I look forward to trying them out!

At first I was like "no pictures?!" but then I found some. Yes, I'm that person.
Then I discovered what's great about this book: the shortcuts. Using cake mix or no cooking you can make double berry streusel bars and other cookies. This will come in handy when I get invited to my mother-in-law's cookie exchange and forget about it until the night before. Yes, I'm also that person.
Update: I made the Toasted Almond Cookies for the cookie exchange and it was SO fast!! I normally spend hours making a ton of cookies and this recipe was so quick and easy, plus I had everything I needed on hand!

Okay, I'm giving this book four stars because I didn't make all the recipes so I can't say how they all taste. But, that being said, if you are short on time and want your cookies to look homemade, this book is for you. If I make some more of these I may change this book to five stars because we all are short on time and love to make things fast.

This book is GREAT! I love the recipies and the ease of using mixes and premade dough to make the cookies with. I tries a couple of the recipies with rave revies from my coworkers. I highly recommend this if you like to have cookies on hand.
