You know how in college there’s that one guy everyone wants to be?

That’s me.

I’m the top dog.
The number one.
The big man on campus.

Some say those things are solid wins.
My new tutor would disagree.

My title means nothing to her.
My status lost on her.

And now my mind? That sucker is stuck on her.

She was told to make our sessions priority over all, to drop everything when

Tobias Cruz (H) ⚾

Honestly, I didn't like this guy at all at the beginning of the book. He was the typical manwhore arrogant, conceited athlete who has women falling at his feet, just because he's the best baseball college player in a long time. Tobias had such himbo vibes going on for him, but not even that attractive, because he would say shit like this

this was... pretty bad. so little of this made sense or was realistic in any sense. and tbh i can usually overlook that if the romance is good but the tension/angst was nonexistent and i didn't understand the underlying attraction here.

i mean it's a sports romance so if you're really hard up and have read every sports romance published other than this one maybe give it a go, otherwise skip

the way I was so excited to pick this up because ‘say you swear’ is one of my all time favorite books. i— anyway. this was bad in every sense of the word.

Tobias was insufferable, and he really thought he was a gift to women. sir.. you’re a college baseball player, humble yourself. picture every frat guy combined & that’s him. Myer on the other hand had the personality of a chair! don’t even get me started on the plot and the turns it took.

im hijacking the title Himbo King from Phuong bcos this bitch, Tobias, is the ruler of all himbos. along with Emmett Cullen and Luke from Julie and the Phantoms.

right, i think im gonna rate this in two parts lol. bcos the first 50% was not a vibe for me, while the second half was so fun.

first half = 2 stars ⭐️
second half = 4 stars⭐️

first half of the book:

wow this book should just be named “fragile masculinity” instead. my thoughts in the first half were just a rambling slew of insults aimed at T

'DIRTY CURVE' Is a full length sports romance book by Meagan Brandy. Spoken in 'dual perspectives.'

A slow-burn which captured and kidnapped all the mushy feels leaving me craving more.

Tobias Cruz the #PlayBoyPitcher is on top of his game a hotshot number one pitcher in the country at Avix University a man who lives and breathes baseball and is on his way to the very top, there's only one thing standing in his way and that's his grades, they are slipping down a slippery slope which could

“Let me be someone that matters to you, ‘cause you matter to me.”

Oh my stars … DIRTY CURVE is ALL THE WOW! The ultimate baseball romance brimming with heart, heat, and a hero who will bring you to your knees. Meagan Brandy seduces with passionate prose—crafting complex and caring characters in the deliciously decadent Dirty Curve, a love story to savor. I fell fast in love with this baseball romance full of feels. The more I read, the harder I fell. Hands down, DIRTY CURVE is the best baseball

This is the tale about Tobias and his only brain cell who is a single mom who works 2 jobs; sex and baseball. There’s nothing more going for him.

“It’s like my eyes pull at something in her, probably her pussy strings. I dig it.”

“She’s fire, I know it, and call me a fuckin’ pyro ‘cause, goddamn if I don’t crave the flame.”

“I love tits. Big ones, small ones, real ones, fake ones, call me Dr. Fuckin’ Suess, and right now, the doctor wants to play, are they or aren’t they?”

This book is basically atrocious.

And I read the whole thing. Why it atrocious? First the nickname tutor girl did not do it for me. But neither did the politics of sports tutoring. As someone tutored athletes at a prestigious sports & academic school, I felt awful for the pressure Meyer got to have her clients succeed. Imagine having it pinned to you the reason a star athlete and this program can play and or succeed. Frankly, it's not really unusual at all either.

But then there was this whole co

Don’t let the cover and the title fool you! This is a slow burn romance with all the feels!
This was different from your typical romance in the sense that while we get POV scenes from both the hero and the heroine, we get to spend a lot more time in the hero’s head. Tobias starts off as the annoying, self-obsessed, and arrogant jock, but he evolves quite beautifully over the course of the novel.
Meyer is a nerdy heroine that works all the time in order to support her newborn daughter.

I loved Tobias Cruz 𝒐𝒉 𝒔𝒐 𝒎𝒖𝒄𝒉!! Despite being labeled a playboy that broke hearts and a player who was only in it for the game, my little heart loved him. He was a hotshot pitcher and knew he was good. All while wanting to feel acceptance for more than what he could do on the mound. He wanted to truly be seen and loved. The ones who should have always had his back didn't and the few who did only were in it for themselves. He knew he was more than what they saw him as, but he couldn't make them ...more

Meagan Brandy is my unicorn author, i have been obsessing over her books lately and i love them all. Her stories are so unique and interesting, lets not talk about the plot twists at the end, holy wow. And dont get me started with her Heroes. Damn! Tobias fucking Cruz, kill me now or give him to me. At first he annoyed me little cuz he was so cocky and arrogant, he thought that all the girls fall into his feet so he was shocked when Meyers didnt and ignored him. He was egoistic and overconfident ...more

Oct 04, 2021 rated it really liked it I will admit, the beginning didn't totally put me off from reading the rest and I'm glad I continued.

Tobias completely redeemed himself (still thought he was a dick at the start though). Loved how the story was building and building and you think it's going in a certain direction but then BAMM nope it gives you a different twist!

I love Meagan Brandy's books and her style. Can't wait for more 😍
Darlene I read WAY to many books
Sooooooooo I DNF

I heard so much good stuff about this book so I was excited

But I can't handle the h.. I tried guys I really tried but girl was not giving any reaction back to Tabios.. I felt so bad for the guy. And I love when H are the ones doing stuff to get their girl.. but he would try and try and try and try
Like man he tried so much he was cocky and playful but Myers was just meh.. how hard is it to text back..

I'm on the fence about this one. I liked the characters and I enjoyed their story but that twist really threw me. Maybe if it had been given more page time when we found out I would have been okay about it but as is it just left me feeling meh.

If you're scrolling through reviews for DIRTY CURVE, then I'm pretty sure that this one is going to stand out like a sore thumb, and will more than likely be an extremely unpopular opinion. I'm not a street team member or an ARC reviewer, so while it may be an unpopular opinion, it's sure to be an honest one.

I need to start off by saying I'm no stranger to Meagan Brandy's books; I've read everything she has written and loved some more than others. I've had this one on my TBR for some time and t

I am torn between 2 and 3 stars on this book. Dirty Curve is a promising book, but the writing and the plot needs to be edited better.

It has been a while since I read NA romance between a sport star and a tutor. Dirty Curve have so much potential. Miss Brandy needs to edited better. The chemistry is lacking at the middle when the characters both started to fall in love.
The dialog, banter is choppy.

I decided on 3 stars. So much potential.but poor execution.

I don’t know how much I can swoooon! And the twist had me gasping!

Because Tobias is EVERYTHING! Gah… is he real? Do men like him exist? He went from a player man hoar to hubby material so fast I couldn’t even blink!

Tobias’s grades are suffering. He’s the star pitcher and needs to maintain good grades in order to continue playing and eventually get scouted. Because his parents his passion for baseball, he’s relying on other means to stay and play. His coach hires him the best tutor on campus, ent

Meagan Brandy has done it again. I think this is my favorite book of hers. Yes dang it, I say that after every one of her stories, but I REALLY mean it this time. She continues her wicked ways with this book, starting off giving you enough information to reel you in and yes, of course, leave you wondering what will happen next. I am telling you now, you will guess WRONG. OK enough of that cause anyone who leave spoilers are always on my hit list, so I don’t want to be on my own naughty list, wel ...more

Tobias Cruz is Meagan Brandy's swooniest hero for sure and his tutor girl own my heart completely. Dirty Curve was such a power house of feels that I just cannot express it all. The angst and the slow burn tortured me and just slayed me over and over again. This sports romance has endless raw chemistry, breathtakingly intense feels and so many jaw dropping twists. At the same time it had a sexy flirty vibe. My heart is exploding here and I cannot tell you how badly you need this book in your lif ...more

"The one girl seemingly immune to my charm. I don’t get it, but I want to. I want to know her. Understand her. I kind of just want to talk to her for a while."

This is Tobias Cruz, the star pitcher of Avid University's baseball team and Meyer the smart, shy, and hard working tutor girl's story. It had two major twists that I didn't see coming (probably around 83%) and it kept me hooked. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be but it was definitely good in the shock element.

Dirty Curve is a full length sports romance novel by Meagan Brandy. Told in dual perspectives, this is Tobias Cruz (Playboy Pitcher) and Meyer's (Tutor Girl) story.

Tobias is the star pitcher for the Axis Sharks and is expected to be a first round draft pick when that time comes. He's worked very hard to get to where he is but unfortunately his grades are starting to suffer, and his coach really needs him on the mound. This is where Meyer comes in. She is the most sought after tutor and exclusive

Meagan Brandy is officially the queen of Angst. Her sports romances are some of my favorite I’ve ever read, so when I saw that she was writing a baseball romance, it was a must read!! Now it’s one of my all time favorite books.

Meagan paints the feelings of the characters in such a way, I felt like I wa experiencing everything with them. There were times where this story even made me tear up, which I was defiantly not expecting. Forg

Tobias is what cocky baseball player dreams are made of!!! The Playboy Pitcher is going to change the game and Tutor Girl won’t know what hit her. He strikes out every batter up at plate, but this time he’s playing for keeps.

Meyer is hard working. She tutors all the student athletes, works at a diner, and goes to school full time. She’s not interested in some cocky baseball player who just wants to get in her pants. She has too much on her plate already. She’ll just help him pass his classes and

„I’ll be anything you want me to be if you just let me be yours…”

Playboy jock meets the nerdy girl… There is several New Adult books with the storyline that starts like that, so what’s different about this one? All the curveballs Meagan has thrown inside! In her true fashion, Brandy filled this story with so much angst, steam and feels that in the end all you can say is just ‘wow’.

I adored Cruz and his cocky persona. I loved to see his confusion when Meyer didn’t fall for his charms. I was

I’m definitely in the minority with this one going by all the 5 star reviews, but the hero was just so off putting, I did something I never do & DNF.

His treatment of the heroine really put me off, criticising her appearance & expecting her to do his work for him 🤢 he just rubbed me the wrong way. Like for example

“Why you worried about being seen with me Tutor girl? Women beg for me. Being around me might be good for a girl like you. Get you noticed more”

and don’t get me started on his coach…wh
