Mine to Save

It continues

Jensen was on a mission to destroy food supplies when one of the enemy vampires saved him and said mate before he lost consciousness. How could the one meant for him also be working with the very people who wanted to destroy him? To deal with this, he had to put his personal feelings aside, hand over his mate and let his colleagues interrogate him. Brayden had known the instant he’d set eyes on the intruder that the man was his mate. When he saw the beam fall towards him, he reacted instantly, without thought of the consequences. Now, he was a captive, with people who were willing to do anything to get the information they wanted. When his mate, intervenes, Brayden realises that he has a chance to change his future, with his mate at his side, but is he prepared to take a chance on the unknown and risk those he cares about? This was a dramatic story with the mates, plans and further action to save the slaves. I was so glad that Brayden decided to trust than and gave the crucial information to help them. There were some discussions of feelings but not enough as I felt that Jensen tested Brayden far quicker than he would normally do. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

It's just not my cup of tea. I was more invested with the original characters of rescue inc, but I feel like Jensen was kind of just thrown in there. Maybe if he was a more dynamic character like Hunter was I could overlook him not being center stage for the beginning of the series. I think the thing that set me over for this book was his mate. It's more of a persona preference, I guess, but I don't think bald men are attractive and a beard only makes it worse. Plus the fact that Jensen was struck with like all of cupids instalove arrows concerns me. He goes from what a jerk to what a stud muffin in like .1 seconds (like no shit not even a full car ride back to HQ) kind of ridiculous. Then there's the issue of Brayden's mentality. He changes his political stance almost as fast as Jensen's love. Brayden hates humans and wants to commence operation take over the world but then within like a paragraph is like meh maybe not. It would have been more of an interesting dynamic I think if Jensen was the vampire and realized that Brayden was his mate (that would be a better excuse for his instalove feelings) and they take Brayden and he would have an internal conflict between wanting to help his mate or stay loyal.

Brayden & Jensen
Did not know where this book was going to take me, but I liked the more planning, action based plot throughout the book.
Character breakdown;
Brayden: I loved how the man looked tough as heck! And seem so hard, but he folded too quickly lol. Call me a weirdo but I like the push back!
Jensen: at first I wanted to slap him, he was a little too emotional for me. But he grew on me and I like the dynamic he had with Brayden.
Cannot wait to read the last book! Will miss the series was it’s done!

Another phenomenal book in this series.Twist and turns as usual. Does have a happy ever after. Always nice to catch up with the previous cast of characters. I highly recommend reading this book and the entire series.

Keep'em coming
Another great addition to the Rescue Inc series, I love how episodic the series is. Each book leads into the next and keeps the tension ramped up as the team gets closer to the king. I can't wait to read book 10.
