Cowboys and Angels #29

Trusting the Tycoon

Delia Warrington ran from New York and the prospect of marrying her stepmother’s insufferable brother.

Delia ran without understanding why except she trusted the young maid who warned her for reasons Delia couldn’t explain.

Wesley Satterfield left New York to scout out new business opportunities for his father’s business empire. Incognito in Creede as Wes Field, he didn’t expect to meet anyone he knew.

A chance encounter on the streets of Creede reunites two people who might have developed a relationship if neither had left New York.

Will friendship turn to love with the help of a petite angelic maid?

This is a sweet romance.

How the small town of Creede, Colorado has grown since we first discovered it almost thirty stories ago. I don’t think I will ever tire of visiting with these cowboys, lovely ladies and their helping angels. Trusting the Tycoon brings us the story of two New Yorkers who have feelings for each other but have kept their silence about that small fact until they meet up again in Creede amidst danger and a new life together. Delia has traveled far on the word of an angel, and while she might not understand just why she took Mercy at her word, this special being knew far too much to be wrong. In order to outsmart the plans of her stepmother and a loathsome suitor who has nothing but dishonorable intentions, Delia has slipped away in the night and boarded a train to Creede where her future awaits. Even upon arrival in this small town Delia has no idea how her future could be here, but she’s trusting in a larger plan and meeting some amazing people. Imagine her surprise when the man she’s been quietly in love with for a long time passes her in the street — Wes has some explaining to do, and perhaps some rescuing as well.

Wes and Delia make a lovely couple, and even if they are keeping their own secrets they works very well together. There is a touch of danger, some unique solutions to Delia’s situation and a definitely fiery showdown with the bad guys. The one thing that I did miss in this story was Mercy. Truthfully, I enjoy not only the romance of these stories but the angelic interactions as well. For the most part Mercy was merely in the background, I simply wish she had been more directly involved in Delia and Wes’ story. In all, Trusting the Tycoon is another addicting story in the Cowboys and Angels series, and if you love Western Historical Romance then you’d enjoy not only this story but this series as well.

"A Sweet Marriage Of Convenience"

This is such a great story to read. Delia escapes New York City to the town of Creed in the west as her parents maid has suggested she do; she's now alone but safe. She had not wished to marry the man her mother insist that she do. After settling into the comfort of the small town, she soon meets a man who guarantees Delia safety. The reason they swiftly marry is to avoid the fear of the man who was promised to be her husband who may be searching for her. The characters are well defined and the story very well written. I thorough enjoyed it.

Sometimes you just have to take that leap of faith!

Delia certainly had the misfortune of a wicked stepmother and step-brother (instead of step-sisters). Luckily her father was alive and well. Delia chose to believed the angel sent to warn about plans to harm Delia and followed the angel's instructions to travel to Creede, Colorado to find her future! Eenjoy Delia's adventures of discovering new friends and decides whether or not to stay in Creede while wondering how to find her future or what it can possibly be.

Good story

It was a little hard to read on the kindle app because the font color kept changing dark to light and back. I usually read in night mode with a black background and it would go from crazy bright to barely bright enough to read. I tried switching the background color and it didn’t help much.

The story itself was good, great characters. A little too close to the storyline of the last book.

Great story

Wesley/Wes and Delila - both originally from New York.

I loved reading this captivating story that is fantastically written with a different take on a familiar plot. The sub characters are fantastically written and help make the story. Loved the guardian angel and her role. Their story has a sweetly refreshing and complete HEA .

Runaway heiress

Delia is led by an angel to the Western town of Creede to meet her destiny. Little does she know that she will land in the arms a Wes, the one she's loved since she was 12. There were a lot of exciting elements in this book. The main characters were a bit wishy washy at times but their was a credible villain and a happy ending.

Great Series

I discovered this series a while ago and was excited when I discovered yesterday 10 new books had been added. A great series and I love that several different authors write them, so not every book has the same writing style. Its pretty similar but different enough to keep things fresh

I loved Mercy

An angel, a young lady (Delia), and a young man (Wes). A wicked step mother and her brother, plots of marriage, abandoning in an old hunting lodge, plots being blown up, by running away. Finding your future even when you didn't know what it was. Only to find more plots, but true love wins out in the end.

A story I didn't put down until I was done! Delia and Weston kept going around in circles because neither wanted to confess their love, but of course they do and get their HEA!

Delia wanted to make her own choices, not those of her stepmother. Taking the suggestion to head west she does. She marries quickly in case she led the other suitor to know where she headed. Good western story.

I really enjoyed this book. It has plenty of adventure and different threats arising. I liked how the threats were disarmed in a way that was constructive. The HEA is always good too.

This is the story of Delia and Wes. It can be read as a standalone but is #29 in a series of 69. Characters crossover from book to book so it's better if you read this series in order.
Both of these characters came from New York and are now in Creede Montana.
I liked reading this story, it's a HEA.

Delia and her escape

This story would have been more enjoyable if there had been some communication between Delia and Wes. The back and forth of denying what they felt became a little old at times.

Otherwise, a good story.
