Let me start by saying that I couldn’t put this story down.
Eden Fortae is a new author and she did not disappoint. Kya has just lost her mom, the only family she has left in the world. While at her mother’s funeral she meets a mysterious man who gives her a single rose. Unbeknownst to Kya, Antonio is there to kill her as revenge against her father for destroying his family. Antonio has been hunting her for a year, waiting on the perfect time to kill her. When he gets his chance he realizes he’s grown to care for the woman’s he’s been hunting. When Antonio realizes his feelings, Kya becomes his obsession and he wants her regardless of the consequences.
This book is full of twist and turns. I appreciated that the author didn’t keep Kya in the dark and naive. She demands honesty from everyone and won’t hesitate to speak her mind. I also enjoyed that this wasn’t an instant love story. The author took the time for you to watch the two characters fall in love. They also have realistic conversations about their relationship and where it’s going. Kya doesn’t hide her feelings when they don’t agree on what they want in the relationship.
Beware this story ends on a cliffhanger but the 2nd book will be released next month. You can pre order it on Amazon. Also, if you don’t have KU this book will be free on 11/19th according to the author.

This book really surprised me. I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. I thought this was the author's first book and was ready for it - you know the slightly stilted, slightly clunky writing...but no, it was was really well written with no tumbles and bumps along the way (a reprimanding slap on the hand for me - lesson learnt do not have preconceived ideas!).
The H and h both were great - no unnecessary miscommunication or banging the head against the wall of "if only they talked to each other everything would be sorted" stuff. The h actually had a good head on her shoulders and although did have the "feels" whenever she was near the big bad-ass alpha H, she didn't let it rule her. The ending was a cliff-hanger...cannot wait to get ahold of the next book...i just hope Ms Fortae does not let me down, as this book was fab.

Well, this was a nice debut from this new found Gem of an author. I loved every character! I can't wait to dig into the next book because oh what a freaking cliffhanger, but thank goodness book two is out.

Boring - DNF - Spoilers
I am only 51% into this book and I am bored. This book started off good but now Antonio, who in the beginning, was made to be this big bad drug dealer is showing to be nothing of the sort. I'm going to try and finish, but I need a break. Will update when or if I finish the book.
Update:
I got to 61% and stopped. I don't know where these 4 & 5 star reviews are coming from. So Mr Kingpin is not only not as tough as he "made out" to be. He is willing to give up his Drug empire for Kya. A girl he wanted to kill and only had sex with once. *Hand palm to face* Kya is annoying as i don't know what. I hate women who constantly ask a man why he is with her. I don't know why he is with her either; she's annoying. I am done with this book because all it does is make me mad and I won't be reading the second book. Good riddance.

Excellent read! This is a new author and I was recommended to read this by my Goodreads guru friend, Rosie J cuz she knows what's up, I jumped right into it. Glad I did. Kya and Antonio's relationship is well though out I think. There's great dialogue between them, really funny exchanges actually and witty banter, but also, they deal with some realistic relationship issues, which despite the fact that he's a drug kingpin who moonlights as a contractor. I found this to be a good book, despite my dislike of cliffhangers, which this book leaves off with, I'm invested and looking forward to Rose Series Book 2! Keep up the great writing, Eden.

I loved it!
I loved this book. I do not regret putting myself through torture to read this book knowing that it ends with a cliffhanger. The last chapter of this book had me tearing up! I really can’t wait for Dec,17 for book two. Nevertheless, I enjoyed every moment of this book!

Awesome Read
I thoroughly enjoyed Kya and Antonio's story. I'm glad I found this book based on a review by a Goodreads friend. This was an awesome story and I can't wait for the next book in this series. I'm adding this author to my favorites list.

This Series was recommended to me ages ago. I have now got to it. This is a new author to me and I read this two book series on Kindle Unlimited. Whilst it was an engaging read, I felt that the whole story was a bit long winded for what it was. Worth a read.

While I understand from other reviews that conflict does develop later, I just don't have the patience right now. Because this is very much "it's me, not you," I urge you to read the other reviews if you think you might like this book.

The right title!!!
This book was really intense, from the prologue to the end. It included laugh out loud moments, powerful statements and awesome scenes. The plot was exciting and filled with drama. I really enjoyed Antonio and that Kya was attempting to give him a challenge. The length was wonderful as well. I am looking forward to part 2.

What a story. I loved Kya's personality. She was both strong and sensitive. Tony did a lot of messing up and his deceptions knew no bounds but I'm still rooting for him and Kya's love. That ending has me in my feelings.

I went into this book despite knowing it would end on a cliffhanger because the blurb stayed with me and I kept coming back to it. I loved the beginning but somewhere in the middle, it lost a lot of the luster for me. Luckily the last 10% pulled me back in and now I am ready for the conclusion. The author is new to me but had great character development, storyline, and made impressive stylistic word choices. I really liked her style.

Please, please, please, do part II justice. This was fantastic, and those last few chapters brought the whole thing to a boiling point, and I couldn't read fast enough. Kya is either the sweetest or the dumbest (for lack of a better word) person ever. For her to forgive and move past what has been done to her is close to saintly. She deserves so much better than what has happened, but when you fall in love, sometimes the good out ways the bad. Speaking of bad, Tony, oooo weee, bad, but so good. This is what I call the devil in disguise. Beautiful to look at, sexy as sin, but as dangerous as they come. Has his selfishness caused damage beyond repair, or do they have a bond tight enough to get them through, what is sure to be, trouble even the devil himself didn't see coming? I have to wait One. Whole. Day. to find out! I hope this next one is as good, if not better than this, because this was a fantastic read.

December 17, 2018This book had me from the start, I couldn't put it down. This quickly became a favorite. The chemistry between Antonio and Kya is felt from the beginning. I finished ITENSITY in one day, I've been counting down the days waiting for INFAMY. I was up at midnight 12/17/18 ready to purchase part 2, however Amazon said they didn't have any in stock and did not know when they would have any. Is there any other way to download INFAMY. Please let me know. I'm really looking forward to reading this book.

3.00 Stars. KUB # 72. (BWLM). Kya Rich is an only child and is tasked with burying mother without any aide or comfort from her estranged father. The hero, Antonio Cortes, is a wealthy Cuban American entrepreneur, gangster and assassin, and an arch enemy of Detective Rich..the person who jailed Antonio's father and is hoping to Antonio. To get even with Detective Rich, Antonio plans to kill the heroine; while at the cemetery observing how sad and alone Kya's is, Antonio devises another plan...have a sexual dalliance with Kya and make her pine for him. He gets her hired as a bartender and has his sister to befriend her and he puruses to romance her. To Kya's father's dismay, she and Antonio become close and they develop feeling. This book ends with Kya on life support due to a bullet wound from one of Antonio's rival gangsters. This is not a dark romance, Antonio doesn't force Kya into a relationship nor does he compel her to do anything she's unwilling to do; this is just a romance that happening between a wealthy mobster with enemies and a clean cut woman.
