The Anniversary by Ahava Trivadi is a 142-page story in The Hopeless Husband Series. This is the first novel in the series and was free as a purchase on Amazon. The next book in the series, Wife Swap, sells for USD 2.99. Classified by Amazon as General humorous fiction, I found nothing offensive as far as language or context but there are painful situations presented with sarcasm and wit.
Franny is a veteran teacher Art at Summerfield Secondary School. She has been there twenty years and blends

I loved this book! Initially there was a fair amount of description of the characters, which helped the reader understand the personalities of each of the main characters. Once this was set, the momentum of that book took off and I was engrossed in it. A great light read that incorporates humour, a candid look at relationships and allows you to see yourself in one or more of the characters!

What a great book! The characters really came to life. Can't wait to see what happens in the next book in the series. Whether you're British (or not) you'll enjoy this one!

A fun pool side read with a story that many of us can relate with! The hopeless husband starts off as an quiet, awkward, "mad professor" type character. You feel sorry for him until you realize that he is actually the hero in his own story of his life. He then takes you through a series of awkward, then eccentric, then jawdroppingly funny mishaps as he tries to please his wife, and makes you wonder if he can ever salvage himself from the disaster. Will true love save the day?

The story is very

Hilarious

This book had me laughing constantly. John Webb is so clueless and self-absorbed that I couldn't help finding his less than stellar efforts funny. Though I think Ahava Trivedi did a little too good of a job at making John so awful since I found myself hoping that Franny would divorce him and find someone who would consider her dreams and feelings.
The characters all came to life on the pages. Emma and Tom were my favorite support characters in the story, giving Franny something better

I did enjoy this book. John Webb truly is a hopeless husband, I'm ashamed to say his antics made me smile all the way through, his poor wife! If you've ever dated(and dumped) a narcissist, this book is a true picture of the bullet you dodged. Well worth a read, despite your romantic history!
