I would like to start by thanking author K.A. Cummins for sending me free copy in exchange of my honest opinion.

Snow Globes are delight to the eyes, aren't they? So when you hear a story based on snow globe, well, I am intrigued now. Twelve year old Sarah stumbles upon mysterious shop full of snow globes. When she accidentally breaks a globe, it takes her to another world. This world might be her only chance to find her father. But the problem is, she doesn't know anyone here. What are the chanc

This is such a special book to me and a FAST read! HIGHLY recommend for kids, ages 10-18, but I believe SNOW GLOBE TRAVELERS is great for kids of all ages. And I LOVE snowglobes, every Christmas I look for unique ones. In this story, the world inside the snowglobe comes to life and WOW did Cummins do the world justice here!

Sarah is distracted from her apple strudel when a certain creature takes something that belongs to her and runs off, leading her to a mysterious shop far away from her Mom. Li

I've read portal fantasy, but I loved the unique premise this story offered.
Sarah Ann Reisende stumbles upon a small shop in Vienna that holds shelf upon shelf of snowglobes--all doorways to other universes! Within pages, Sarah's knee-deep in trouble and without any friendly adult supervision. (She handled it much better than I would have!) In her debut, Cummins offers the reader danger, mystery, and intrigue wrapped within a thrilling tale.

I love K.A. Cummins’ book Samuel’s Legacy. She has created a believable alternate universe and a magical way to enter that world. Most of the characters in this world are very similar to humans on earth but the word patterns of their speech are different but easy to follow and adapt to. The people encountered in the world of Elohi are much like humans you may encounter in our world - some are caring and some are mean. Cummins has also created some evil creatures and vividly describes them.

This is an awesome book for all ages! I work with kids and got this book in order to recommend it to the students. But I found, not surprising though considering my taste in reading, that I love this book. Incredibly unique with great characters and a compelling story, this gets a big recommendation from me to kids and adults alike.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

First let me say how much I love snow globes. I always look at them when I see them in shops. I love picking them up and shaking them while the snow slowly falls and sprinkles white on the item inside the dome. Some of them even have a windup that will play music. But what happens when you pick up a snow globe and everything changes? Nothing is the same and you find yourself in a strange place. That’s the premise of this enchanting story that allows the author to use her imagination and take rea ...more

Intended for ages 10 – 18, this book combines a girl on Earth whose father disappeared when she was three with snow globes that enable space travel. The book kept me mesmerized the entire time I was reading it. Sarah Ann Reisende discovers a cryptic note when she breaks a snow globe in a store in Vienna. Then she winds up traveling to a place called Elohi.

Sarah Ann shows courage and determination along with persistence. The author excelled at creating a world with a unique way of traveling there

This is an author’s debut. And it’s definitely a unique one! I loved reading this book. Even though it’s marked as for middle school or high school I say all ages are going to love this book. My kids all did!

I read the book first as I always do. You can never be too careful about the books you give to your children. I’ve found some that I thought would be amazing that ended up being tossed in the trash. This book is not like that. It has a nice spot on my shelf for good.

This was a cool book. I read it in one night and I'm certain my 2 oldest kids will love it (10 & 12). The author does a good job of making a new world, but not too different that you can't understand what is going on. It is quirky and unique.
I love stories that I can give to my kids and teach them something positive. Sarah is a good kid that's the center of this all. Her story was just great. I liked that she messed up, but she wanted to fix her mistake and make it all right. The author really d

"Snow Globe Travelers - Samuel's Legacy" By K.A. Cummings is a easy and quick read that is geared toward kids that are 10-18 years old. I chose to read this with my 9 year old son and we both enjoyed it. I love snowglobes - and have collected several throughout my years. This book is not my typical genre that I read - however my 9 year old is really into alternate universes. My son and I enjoyed following Sarah and her adventures through the different snow globes. We enjoyed trying to figure out ...more

Snow Globe Travelers, by K. A. Cummins, is a well written story for ages middle school and older. This story focuses on twelve year old Sarah after she is led into a shop filled with snow globes. After accidently breaking one, mysterious things happen and she looks through the shop trying to find out how to fix it. She instead finds a photo as well as her and her father’s names connected to a very large snow globe that transports her to Elohi.

This is a fun story for the young adult to read. It i

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this middle grade fantasy novel. It took a bit for me to get oriented in this new world, but the story drew me in. The idea of a snow globe, which I have always enjoyed, being used as a portal to another planet in a parallel universe offers an original concept to explore. You can’t spend too much time thinking about the why and how of things, but just have to jump into the unfolding action and go with it. I guess it’s similar to Dorothy waking up in the mystical ...more

I received this as an Epub from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I would actually give this 4.5 stars.

When Sarah drops her bear carving, and realizes a cat has taken off with it, she follows the cat which ultimately leads her into a snow globe shop. As she is observing the shop she notices each of the snow globes has a different scene. When she drops and breaks one of the snow globes, her whole world changes, she realizes there may be some clues to her missing father in this world and

I really wanted to like "Snow Globe Travelers: Samuel's Legacy " by K.A. Cummins but it fell short for me. I like the idea of snow globes travelers but the heroine didn't have the characteristics of a 12 year consistently throughout the book. I am not sure if there is going to be another book but the ending left me confused. I realize this book is written for ages 10-18 and is sci-fi.

I recommend this book to younger children that likes sci-fi and I think it would be a great book for parents that

2.5 stars, rounded up because it's self-pub.

This is pretty fun and creative; I dug the concept of snow globes as modes of multiversal travel. Sarah's narration tends to skew old (“Vienna's bustling activity and graceful architecture echoed a lineage rooted in culture and gentility”), but the novel's fairly fast-paced and dialogue-heavy so it's not too objectionable.

Not really diverse at all (there's mention of dark hair and olive skin, and that's about it), but honestly, I'd rather have no rep t
