The first in Colette Dixon’s Love at Lincolnfield series brings us a romance between two people trying to heal old wounds and learning to trust.

description ...if there is anyone who could make me orgasm on a regular basis, I think I’ve found him.”

Heroes like Magnus are my catnip: a single dad, gentle, honest and a little bit dirty, he pretty much hit all the right spots as he shows his new colleague, Passi that he could be the perfect man for her, making her feel sexy and beautiful along the

Sweet, awkward, smexy, funny and well a bit frustrating, but an engaging read full of feels that kept me turning the pages to see what would, or wouldn’t, happen next.

I really liked Passi and Magnus. Both of them are strong and resilient, even if they don’t always believe it. What they’ve both gone through and are going through make them both likeable and easy to relate to, even if you’ve never been in their shoes. Their journey to their HEA is a mix of awkward,

From the sizzling kiss with a stranger in the thermal baths--with a beautiful Viking-esque hottie, no less--I was completely hooked. This is a fabulous debut by Colette Dixon, full of humor, sexiness, and depth of heart. You don't want to miss this new voice on the contemporary romance scene.

Disclaimer: I am part of the same co-op publisher that this book was published with. However, I requested the book of my own desire to read it, and the views in my review are entirely my own.

I was expecting this to be your usual sexy read, but it was SO much more than that. Yes, the story had some fantastic steamy scenes, but it also had a deep story about loss and second chances, that kept me reading into the small hours of the morning. The two main characters are likeable and relate-able, with

Loved it! Scandalous, secretive and sexy! I really enjoyed this story about taking risks, discovering second chances and uncovering a beautiful romance.

This was a really sweet read. Passi meets a gorgeous man (she thinks of him as a Viking) in the baths and is kissed when he is trying to make her forget for a moment something sad (tragic for her, but he doesn't know it yet). She leaves only to find out he is the new Risk Manager at the hospital where she works. She has a wild fantasy about him that night that she puts into an email to her friend but accidentally sends to him. From then on the story is so sweet. He tries really hard to get to kn ...more

An outstanding start to a series!!!
Passi lost her very young son when he was hit by a car only a couple of feet from her in a crosswalk. It is several years later, and she still has not recovered much less forgiven herself. She has resumed her career as HR director at the hospital and has been given a gift certificate for Ancient Baths. This is where she has her first encounter with Magnus.
For several reasons there relationship is rocky, and there is a possibility is just may not work due to va

I really enjoyed this book. I like that it is a start to a series. I love when I get to see characters I fell in love with again even in small amounts. I enjoyed the authors writing style. It was an easy and interesting read. I loved how the 2 main characters met. It was a very unusual way and I liked it. The chemistry between Passi and Magnus was undeniable. It was never forced which I liked. I also like when one person has to overcome something. I felt like by the end of the book I was beside ...more

This was a moving, emotional, sad, sweet and sexy read. The commitment, faith, hope, strength, courage, friendship, family bonds and love were beautifully written and explored. The loss, grief, anger, guilt and negative thoughts and feelings were realistically and sensitively explored. A new author for me, one I would read again. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.

A Beautiful Risk
is the first book in the Love at Lincolnfield series and tells the story of Passi and Magnus. When Passi and Magnus met, they never thought they’d see each other again…

A Beautiful Risk is the first book I’ve ever read by Colette Dixon and I really liked it! I signed up for the cover reveal of Love at Lincolnfield series and when I read the synopsis, I knew that I had

This hospital romance will have you all in. Passi is trying to deal with the loss of her baby. She was given a gift certificate to the Ancient Baths were she Met Magnus and their journey begins. She is back at the hospital and runs into her glorious Viking again but he is the new risk manager and she is the HR Director. This story is filled with romance and second chances for a life of happiness if Passi is willing to take a chance but given her life as it is, will she risk taking a chance on he ...more

This was my first read from Colette Dixon, and overall I'm happy with the book. There were a few things that took me out of the story, but they could have been personal quirks, or something to do with the timing of my reading the book (and everything else going on in my life).

I loved the relationship between Magnus and his son, and Magnus and his parents. His son was all kinds of adorable, and his parents cracked me up. While I appreciated Magnus encouraging Passi to take the lead in how fast o

This book presents an interesting love story that begins with lust at first sight and is followed by massive amounts of resistance related to personal baggage. The story was not like anything I had read before and that was very refreshing. The steamy scenes only increased my enjoyment of the book.

This book was honestly hard for me to get into at first. I found myself putting it down multiple times and coming back to it later. I think the reason for that way how awkward the interactions were bet

Awkward, funny, sweet, heartbreaking and a wee frustrating. Passi and Magnus were amazing characters by no means perfect but just right. Interesting read.
I'm voluntarily reviewing this after receiving from Hidden Arcs.

This was a great start to the series Love at Lincolnfield. I enjoyed this heartwarming romance. A moving story about second chances and overcoming loss. A gift certificate and a kiss from a stranger proves to be life-changing. Passi and Magnus will take you on a sweet romantic journey as he helps her recover from a devastating loss. Steamy and page-turning. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review

I really liked viking man, Magnus. He was sweet and sexy, patient and romantic. I had a hard time with Passi. She absolutely suffered the unimaginable which has changed her outlook on life and her interactions with people. But... I really didn't like the way she treated Magnus, the constant push and pull. If she needed time she should have taken it and developed a solid friendship with Magnus instead of "I want you" "I don't want you". Plus she was always on the verge of quitting her jo

I received a copy from Hidden Gems; this is my honest review.
-This is a story of almost 300 pages and could have been better with a page count around 200.
-The story is fun, steamy, and enjoyable up until the middle when everything crashes (Magnus' kid).
-Passi makes some bad and good decisions. The best was to leave the hospital - it was suffocating her. The worst was when she didn't check who she was sending her email to!
-The dragging of drama, not listening to friends or doctors, and not helpin

No, like no! It was nothing like what I was expecting or wanting. I just couldn't get past the scene when she writes him back and he masturbates in the carpark in his car thinking of her... it's a not from me!
