Read this for my sister that is breast feeding. Honestly, not sure that she would try most of these recipes. Great information though.

I received an arc from NetGalley for an honest review. This book is a great book for expecting mothers and those who have just had a baby. This book as lots of great recipes for all meals and snacks and drinks for mothers that will help with producing milk.

75% of these recipes require something expensive from a specialty food store, so not very accessible.

The recipes are easy to follow, and each has a picture too. The intro is an easy read but lacks in-depth nutrition information or references, despite being a nutrition book. I did appreciate that the authors stated their knowledge is anecdotal.

I was able to get a few recipes but will make substitutions to most. The ingredients seem expensive which adds up when you have to buy multiple specialty items. One recipe literally had bee pollen (granted, it was optional). Lots of random types of flour too. Would have preferred if they stuck to whole wheat and oat flour as those are affordable and both considered lactogenic.
