I had a journey with this novella.

First, as I took in the style and situation in the opening pages, I felt a bit disheartened. No, please, I said to the ceiling, not another litch-er-airy booze-soaked St John's bildungsroman.

Well, I've been wrong before, and I'm sure I will be again.

This Is Agatha Falling plumbs deeper than sweaty hangovers and confused mornings-after. The structure seems to mirror that of weather pressure, right down to a blank white page for a winter interlude. Main character

This is a beautiful, spare book about family and romance and disconnection. The imagery sings as we follow sohpie through confusion, about what is memory and what is real.
I highly recommend this book.
