Jake is a broken man in spirit. After his mom dies, Jake takes care of his alcoholic father. His father has berated him and knocked him down verbally so many times.
When Jake is caught in an avalanche, he is a broken man in body also. When Marisha digs him out of the snow, she saves his life, can she save his spirit too? It is amazing what love can do.
This is book 4 in the Heal Me Series. Stacy Eaton takes us on another roller coaster ride of emotions, about love, family and friendships. This b

This is another great read in the Heal Me series. A love story, from a childhood crush in Texas to a second chance in Montana. This is Marisha's story. Her brother, Tucker Wheatcraft, and her new sister-in-law, Josey, invite her on honeymoon with them (so that Josey and Marisha can ski together). But a surprise encounter with Jake Sweeney, an old childhood friend who is a paramedic and search and rescue worker at the Montana resort, leads to some emotional angst. Mountains, snow, and plenty of e ...more

Childhood crush

Marisa is stunned when she meets her childhood crush Jake at the resort where she is going skiing. She's tagging along with her brother and his new wife on their honeymoon so she can ski with her sister-in-law. A lot occurs which puts them in danger but Marisa and Jake survive it all. A few times during this book I felt as if Jake needed his head seen too but it was a great book.

I love this series, and all these stubborn men! I loved knowing that Tucker and Josey were married as I was touched by their story in the last book. The part that surprised me was that Tucker and Josey asked Marisha to come on their honeymoon with them. I know Tucker wanted someone to ski with Josey, but they could have found somewhere else to go! I am so glad they did go to Montana as they ran into their old friend Jake that Tucker was best friends with when they were teenagers. I could underst ...more

Jake and Marisha have a chance meeting at a resort where Jake works and Marisha is on her brother’s honeymoon with him and his wife. Yeah I did a double take too when I read that. Turns out that it makes perfect sense for Marisha to be on the trip with them. It also unexpectedly provides Jake, Marisha and Tucker to cross paths again after not seeing each other in many years. The chance to reconnect is welcomed by all, but the sparks flying between Jake and Marisha might be a bit more complicated ...more

Rescued is book four in Stacy Eaton's Heal Me Series and definitely worth reading.
Marisha is on Tucker and Josey's honeymoon since Tucker can't ski because of his back injury and Josey loves to ski, but Marisha doesn't want to feel like a third wheel so keeping herself busy will take some work.
Running into a childhood friend is a wonderful surprise for both Marisha and Tucker, but Marisha realizes real soon that her feelings for Jake haven't changed at all. If anything what was once a childhoo

“ Marisha wasn’t just all over my body, but she was burying herself into my very soul. “
When your best friend’s annoying little sister becomes the center of your affection and attention, nothing can stop faith from pushing you together no matter what. The Heal Me series is a great series that keeps on bringing together people that have such opposite lives that it makes their love stories even more intriguing. Jake and Marisha have a great chemistry but I really felt like knocking some sense into

Marisha was an annoying little girl, following her brother Tucker and his best friend Jake everywhere and just being ...girly. Jake moves away, and the friendship kind of lost it’s way. Now Tucker, his beautiful new wife Josey, and his sister Marisha are spending a week at a Montana ski resort. Tucker was injured in the line of duty and recovered, but not able to ski, so Marisha comes along to ski with Josey and relax. They immediately run into Jake, he works search and rescue and is a paramedic ...more

Was great quick read. Just perfect to cuddle up and read. Marisha is on her brothers honeymoon, to help him relieve some guilt about being handicapped. She came to relax and ski with her sister-in-law. Jake is looking to get on the right path in life and she just pops into his life out of nowhere. Growing up Jake ran to Tucker and Marisha’s to get away. What a coincidence that he finds them many years later after his life has fallen and he needs to find his way again. Can love overcome all obsta ...more

Marisha was invited on her brother and sister in laws honeymoon. Josey needed someone to ski with her. Marisha was surprised when she ran into childhood friend Jake Sweeney. Jake worked in search and rescue for the lodge. Marisha had a crush on Jake when they were younger. As adults now Manisha and Jake had instance chemistry. I love all the Heal Me books. They can be read as standalone, however i strongly suggest you read the previous bookes. You will not be disappointed.

I love these characters! Their stories are individualized, but we get to re-visit those from previously. Marina and Jake are so real, facing similar emotions we all deal with. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I loved this story. I loved Jake and Marisha. They are both at a crossroads in their life and reconnect just when they should.

While this book completely stands on it's own, having read Tucker's story first did give me a greater appreciation for the part he plays in this story.
