Dezi was a plain-and-simple type of guy. He loved working for Levi's company and had enjoyed the jobs he'd been given so far. When a businesswoman contacted Ice over, well, ice, ... things got interesting.
Diamond was an exclusive jewelry designer, born and raised in the industry, working within her father's diamond company. When a custom-designed item was checked before shipment, she realized the piece wasn't her workmanship. Somehow someone had forged her work and had slipped it in the shipment as a replacement.
However, the theft and forgery quickly escalate to kidnapping and armed robbery. Dezi and Diamond need to figure this out fast, before something else gets added to the list: murder.

This latest fabulous story in the Heroes For Hire series is quite intriguing. There are so many details to be figured out as well as a large group of suspects to research.
Jewelry making is a fascinating form of art and I love the subject of Diamond having her own designing abilities and personally creating her products. I also enjoyed Dezi being so supportive of her and appreciating her back yard “muse”. A very enjoyable story which satisfies the need to shut down the ugly criminals who think they can gain profit for themselves by taking what they want from other people’s hard work without any consequences.
I really liked the show of love and support Diamond has from her father despite her relationship with the rest of her family being quite strained.
This story is fast-paced, exciting, full of mystery and has you guessing who the villain is until the very end. It was a joy to read and I can’t wait for Vince’s story!
This is an author I’ve come to count on for an intriguing, satisfying read, and Dezi's Diamond certainly fits the bill. I’ve missed a few of the books in this series and it was a great to catch up with the guys of Legendary Security.
This hero is the perfect mix, all protective alpha while still compassionate and kind with a big heart. I easily connected with the heroine, Diamond, and while she may seem a little neglectful about security for her jewelry designs, I totally sympathize with her focus being more on her creative process. Artists really do tend to be like that, so even if her apparent carelessness bothers some readers, I can assure you, it’s authentic to Diamond's character.
If you like a big-hearted, alpha hero, a heroine who's sweet, smart and independent, and quick but captivating read, you’ll love Dezi’s Diamond.

THE LATEST HEREOS FOR HIRE ADVENTURE FROM DALE MAYER IS HERE AND ITS AN ALL AROUND EXCITING, ADRENALINE PUMPING ROMANTIC SUSPENSE WITH A HERO WHO IS WORTH DROOLING OVER AND A HEROINE WHO IS ALL BRAINS AND BEAUTY!
This story was a powerhouse of AWESOME folks! There was so much drama, sizzling attraction, steamy scenes and plenty of danger going on in this book that kept me well entertained and engaged from start to finish. The storyline was so smooth and intriguing while the characters were interesting enough to make me happy.
Dezi's Diamond gets a EXCITING FIVE AMAZING STARS!
For many families, their children are the “family jewels.” Diamond’s family takes this idea more literally than most others. She is the youngest of the four daughters of the world-renowned Liechester Diamond chain. Her three sisters, Emerald, Ruby, and Sapphire, work in the family business, while Diamond branched out to open her own very successful store in Houston using her own creative and one-of-a-kind custom jewelry designs. Ice’s engagement ring is one of Diamond’s designs, and the two young women had become good friends. Thus, when Diamond noticed that one of her custom designs being prepped for shipment to her client had somehow been replaced by a forgery, she sought help from Ice and Legendary Security. Recent hires who are well-versed in computer and security technology, Vince and Dezi were assigned to help Diamond investigate the source of the problem. An unpretentious man who considers himself a “diamond in the rough,” Dezi finds himself taken with the young woman whom he sees as a “diamond of the first order.” Together they deal with system-hacking, kidnapping, assault, and hidden-camera theft of original designs as some person or group determined to ruin Diamond pretty much throws everything at them. SO much excitement, danger, and frustration when the perpetrator remains unknown and a step ahead of them. Couldn’t put this down once I began reading. Dezi’s Diamond is hard-core and yet sweet as the two find common ground in discovering what is most important in their lives.

This is an action packed suspense filled romance story. As Desi and Stone are talking Stone tells Dezi he;s next to find his soul mate.He says that it will be his diamond and that Desi is a diamond in the rough. Then I've calls everyone in she says her friend Diamond who designs jewelry worth millions. That shes the daughter of a world famous jewelry enterprise with jewelry shops all across the world. But Diamond branches out on her own she didnt want to work for the family business .She opened her own store and designs everything they carry .She also designs jewelry that her father sells in his stores. But the problem that brought her to Ice .Someone stole a necklace custom designed by Diamond the item is worth two hundred fifty thousand dollars .She checked the necklace because she forgot to take the last photos of the necklace .She looks at the necklace and realized that its a knockoff of her necklace. It has diamonds but not the same quality also the necklace is made of cheap materials. So then I;ve tells Desi and Vince to go help solve the puzzle. There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page.and leaves you begging for more .I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and makes you feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see whats next by this multi talented author.

I am way behind in this series, but I love it so much I had to get this one. Dezi doesn't think he'll find anyone and the couples at Levi's compound are so in love it reverberates through everything. He's been away on assignment but really wants some time close to home and this next assignment is perfect. Within driving distance and his partner the only other single member of the team Vince.
Diamond is the one who designed Ice's engagement ring for Levi. By accident she has discovered that one of her pieces is a fraud. In order to keep her reputation intact she contacts Levi and Ice to find out what's going on.
Dezi and Vince are staying near her in Houston as the do the initial investigating. Now Diamond does work from home on occasion so they need to see that layout as well.
It somehow amazes me that so many people are unaware of how things can be compromised in this age of technology. Diamond, as she talks to Dezi, finds more an more interactions that include people that could be at the root of her issues. Although more and more it looks like an inside job.
There are many twists and turns that lead to quite the surprising resolution. Dezi and Diamond turn up the heat pretty quickly and her father coming for a visit certainly adds some intrigue.
I am going back to start this series from the beginning, I want to be sure I don't miss a single one!
Dezi's Diamond is the latest, captivating episode in the Legendary Security Saga. Considering the length of the book, the plot is surprisingly rich, with many interesting, well-depicted characters animating the story, giving it a fresh and lively touch. Dezi, the protagonist, is an intriguing character. Introduced as a "plain-and-simple" type of guy, he reveals as a capable and level headed individual, with a brilliant mind. As the story develops, the reader discovers that he is also humble, never boasting over his many talents, and has a sensitive and caring soul. Diamond's personality is a captivating mix between a determined businesswoman, a gifted artist, and a gentle and sensitive human being. While she obviously inspires Dezi's protective instincts, she doesn't take his shielding easily, revealing a strong and independent spirit. A rich cast of characters surrounds the two protagonists, adding complexity to the plot and leaving the reader guessing until the end. Overall, Dezi'd Diamond is a pleasant and entertaining book, a good companion for a few hours of relaxed reading and a testament to the fact that this series still has a lot to offer to its faithful readers. Dezi’s Diamond is another book in Dale Mayor’s “Heroes for Hire” series. Although this is the nineteenth book in the series, each book can easily be understood and enjoyed without having read the others.
Dezi is part of a team, run by retired SEALs, who hire themselves out to help people.
In this book, Dezi is hired by a jewelry designer, whose name is Diamond. Diamond has discovered that one of her very expensive pieces of jewelry is actually a copy of her original piece. Since this piece has never left her office, she and Dezi realize that someone she knows is stealing her jewelry and exchanging them with fake copies.
Unfortunately Diamond does not know how long this has been going on. Therefore, there is the real possibility that she may have unwittingly sent some of these fake pieces to her customers who trust Dezi enough to spend big bucks on her one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.
I like how Dale Mayer skillfully constructs a very complex plot about someone who attacks Diamond by using her beloved creations as a weapon. In this way, the perpetrator systemically destroys Diamond’s expensive jewelry, her reputation as an artist and her character.
Another amazing read by Dale Mayer and every book in this series is ahhhmmmaaazzziiiinnnggg!
Diamond Liechester has three sisters all named after jewels, Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire are their names. Diamond has her own business designing, making and selling one of a kind pieces but her sisters aren't the rebel she is and all work for the family Liechester business which has several locations around European countries. Diamond calls her friend Ice when she discovers one of her pieces is a forgery and it was paid up front to the tune of half a million dollars but this one is only worth about fifty thousand.
Dezi is sent on this job because as Ice put it, because he's good at getting to the bottom of all that's dirty.
Diamond and Dezi have some pretty strong chemistry going on between them so it was interesting to see how it played out.
Dezi like all the Heroes for Hire is very protective of what he considers his. And he considers Di his so some bad guys get an extra punch in the face.
This book is filled with action and adventure along with some interesting twists as the mystery is solved.
Dezi loves working for Levi's company and goes wherever the work is. However, when exclusive jewellery designer Diamond contacts the company about someone forging her work and then swapping it for the real one at the point of shipment so they can steal it, Dezi is sent to help investigate and find out who is doing this before she is professionally ruined. However, it quickly escalates into kidnapping and armed robbery. Can Dezi and Diamond figure the mystery out before it escalates to murder?
I loved this story because it was much more of a mystery story that had an attraction/romance woven into the story as it was developing. The identity of the criminal behind the plot was either easy or not depending on how you think about it (personally I had only got near to the end before I had worked it all out). Dezi and Diamond built a great relationship that definitely is good enough to withstand the tests of time. I loved that Diamond was a strong and feisty woman who knew what she wanted and how to get it. Well written and very enjoyable.
Slight twist in the series, one I really appreciated. This one is based around a diamond store, a designer named Diamond and her dysfunctional family that is held together by a fathers love. Dezi is not from money but walks with belief in confidence in his self. Can you say sexy! A man who has confidence in his self, but is not a cocky a**hat is such a win. Diamond is a brilliant designer who is not only talented, but intelligent, again, win! We meet her millionaire dysfunctional family and we get to have Levi show up in person. I really enjoy this series and having it take place in a different setting, getting to know Diamond and the intrigue in her family (subplot) just made this one all the more enjoyable. Thank you Dale Mayer for the opportunity to review this arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own and were unsolicited.
Dezi's Diamond by Dale Mayer Heroes for Hire Series Dezi Arnold wouldn't mind finding a woman like his teammates at Legendary Security. Seems all of them had such great women, how could there be any left? But somehow, Ice seemed to be playing matchmaker as she sent the guys out on missions—and they returned home in love. Maybe it would happen to him.
Diamond Liechester knew about making expensive, beautiful jewelry. She didn't know about security beyond codes for her vaults and passwords on her computer. She soon found out that life was more ruthless than she could ever guess. Thankfully her friends, Levi and Ice, sent out some guys to help her out.
In the world of someone has money and we want it...Diamond falls into the category of having it. Dezi has to remember he's on a mission to protect her...and a serious mission it is. Another page-turning suspense romance with plenty of possible villains. **Sexual content and language https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...
Suspenseful with loads of action and stuff going on, a few twists and a ton of bad guys, this is full on and gripping throughout. I loved the strong characters, both Diamond and Dezi are independent and set in their careers but as fate and unscrupulous people try to wreck one career so the other steps in to help. The chemistry is strong from the first minute and this was not dragged out, which is great. It was also nice to see a few other team members around a bit, playing their part in solving the clues and following the trail. As always Dale delivers a fantastic fast paced read that I struggled to put down, various levels of intrigue so you don't guess or figure out the true villain to fast which keeps interest high and gives satisfaction at the end. I know the couple outcome is a foregone conclusion by now but the plot and obstacles always change and each are unique, and that is what has me coming back for more every time.
Another wonderful story to enjoy! Yes, it's about diamonds and 'Diamond' is the heroine. 'Diamond's' family business is, of course, diamonds (she and her sisters are all named after jewels) and she has created a name and business of her own by designing jewelry. This story is about family dynamics, drama, wealth, betrayal, greed as well as loyalty, and love. The mystery surrounding who is providing and trading the fake jewelry for the real stuff gets very complicated with so many suspects. There is some kidnapping involved, info on password safety, security, being alert and safe, etc. Dezi and Vince have been sent by Levi to help solve Diamond's problems. Levi has a personal interest as Diamond has created his fiance's (Ice's) engagement ring. Of course, there is romance involved which is very nicely done. Looks like Vince will be next in line to find love and I can't wait to read his adventure!
When Dezi is asked to investigate a jeweller whose design has been stolen he doesn’t expect to find Diamond, a woman who is down to earth and captures his interest. As they delve into her friends and family to see who could have stolen her design and jewellery, she is taken by the strong handsome ex SEAL. As they search for the thief, more suspects come into the picture and a tangled web of who is involved and who isn’t. A great read and another great instalment in the Heroes for Hire series with amazing characters. As usual the story has suspense and a mystery to solve, along with sparks between the two characters and some steam. What I really enjoyed is the surprise in this book when the two actually act on their attraction and the pool scene was hot. Not only that but there was a bit more action and I always love the no drama between the characters. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Dezi is the next to fall for love. He falls for his opposite. It seems that Ice has a knack for matching making and this time is no different.
Dezi grew up poor and he is assigned to help Diamond, a jewelry designer, figure out who is stealing her one of a kind designs and replacing them with fakes. She is the daughter of a man who owns many jewelry stores in Europe and some in the US. In fact she designed Ice's engagement ring.
The two along with Levi and Ice work to solve the mystery before it turns to murder. There are many suspects including her family whom she is not close to at all. There are just as many twists and turns as suspects.
Ms. Mayer's characters have an instant attraction and Dezi fights his because he doesn't think he is good enough for Diamond. Diamond is down to earth and doesn't act like a spoiled rich brat. Eventually Dezi gives in to desire.
This story is a nice addition to the series. I look forward to the next one as always.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a thoroughly captivating story. The plot was intriguing as to who was behind all of the madness in bringing Diamond down and was carefully crafted to keep me glued to my e-reader. There were so many possibilities that I was still guessing right to the end.
I adored Dezi and Diamond. You could see the chemistry between these two characters right from the beginning. I also loved the fact that the story was written in a dual POV format. This is a favorite of mine. It helps me to identify with the characters and understand their actions so much better.
I would recommend this story to anyone over the age of 18 due to some sexual scenes. They were not highly graphic in detail as some get. While this book can be read as a stand-alone in the series, I do highly suggest that you start at the beginning of the series. Several characters do make reappearances.
This is a wonderful addition to the SEALs of Honor series, it's book 18 in the series and can be read as a standalone but I would start at the beginning because every one that I've read has been absolutely awesome.
It's Dezi's turn in Ice's matchmaking schemes and he really meets his diamond. Diamond is a well-known jewellery designer and has noticed that her work is getting copied. She turns to Ice and Levi for help. Dezi and Diamond have wonderful chemistry while there is chaos and drama going on around them. Can Dezi save Diamond and her business while keeping their budding relationship on track?
The storyline is interesting and intriguing, plenty drama and action to keep you entertained. The characters are incredibly likable and relatable. Loved it.
Dezi wants what some of the other guys on Levi's team has found...someone of his own to love. But he doesn't think it will happen for him. He's surprised when he's picked for the next assignment that deals with a forgery in the diamond industry since he considers himself not from that world. However, Levi and Ice think that's exactly why he's perfect for the assignment. Diamond just wants to create her jewelry. She doesn't want to think about why someone is trying to ruin her reputation but she knows she needs help. When Dezi continues to bombard her with questions, she thinks he's being intrusive but answers his questions anyway. Then someone breaks into her house and kidnaps her and Dezi is determined to get her back. When he does, they uncover even more questions that need answers. And Dezi is more determined than ever to find those answers and to keep his Diamond safe.
Levi sends Dezi and Vince to Houston to investigate a high end jewelry forgery. Diamond, a jewelry designer, doesn't realize how vulnerable her business is until Levi's men arrive. Dezi is concerned that there is something personal in the attacks on Diamond's business and that Diamond herself is in danger. I received a free copy of this book from the author through Booksprout. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. Diamond is very creative about her jewelry and runs a very successful business, but is vulnerable to today's technology. One of the things that I enjoy about the series is that the women come from different backgrounds and businesses which I learn a little about. This is a very good suspenseful book that kept me guessing until the end. I really like this book.
Wow we are on book 18/19 already and still so much love to be had out there. I love the fact that these stories are not only about the strong men of Levi’s company helping those strong women that need it but it’s also a sort of matchmaking service. Then men know it’s gonna happen and no matter how much they fight it is inevitable. Diamond is a jewellery designer and maker in her own right even though her father is known through out the world. Hers however falls off its axis as someone wants her designs and pieces. As Dezi and Vince get embroiled to find out who it is, she is kidnapped but it all seems to be a diversion. Who wants he gone and her designs? Employee, sister or ex?????? A great storyline with some great characters.
WOW! Another exciting story was written by Dale. This story is about Dezi and Diamond. It's amazing how the majority of the guys got women whose name starts with their first name letter - in this story,it is Dezi helping out Diamond. It was interesting how the team works to solve a case in just a few short days. In this case, it was her sister's boyfriend who was the bad guy. Once he is taken by the police, the two (of the four) sister's start to repair their relationship. I am happy that Dezi found his Diamond and they are working on their happily ever after. FANTASTIC job Dale! I would recommend this book.
Another unputdownable fast-paced suspense romance read from Dale Mayer and this one has plenty sweetness and of course I love it. This book has mystery and suspense and I love how the story keeps me on edge expecting something bad will happen in the next page and the fact that Dezi and Diamond are from different world but still so perfect for each other is what makes me love this book more. Even though it's a bit rushed in the end and there are some things that got me questioning why they did it, I still enjoying it nonetheless.
If you're looking for a fast-paced suspense read with plenty sweetness, this book is for you.
*I voluntarily received a review copy of this book
I have really been enjoying this series of books by Dale Mayer. Dezi is sent to help Diamond find out who is stealing her jewelry designs and making copies to sell. She does not know if they are trying to ruin her reputation of making one of a kind pieces or if this is a case of jealousy. Dezi and Diamond hit it up together almost immediately. This is another match made by Levi and Ice. I would recommend reading the books in the series in the order written if you want to follow up with the characters as there is always another character popping up from previous stories.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved the suspense of this story. Who was forging Diamond's jewelry? Was it a family member? Or someone else? And why does her father suddenly turn up in town? The way the story is told will keep you guessing as to who the bad guy(s) are and the reason behind the forgeries. Of course, Diamond is a friend of Levi and Ice - and even designed Ice's engagement ring. So they get the team involved in the mystery, sending Dezi and Vince to Houston to help get to the bottom of things. As they check out things at the storefront, they discover the loop holes in the computer system and the vault security. But will they be able to stop the thieves?
I loved this book. From start to finish, I was engrossed. The book had action, suspense, romance, etc. The interaction of the characters was great and was one of the main reasons I was so engrossed in the book. The addition of characters from previous books by Dale Mayer make the book that much better! I was taken in by the story line and it kept me turning the pages. The addition of romance to the novel keeps you guessing and makes you want the two main characters to have a happy ending. Loved this book and can't wait for the next one in the series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Dezi’s Diamond was different from other books in the series, sort-of. Well, after so many books in the series, the stories tend to be similar. However, Dezi’s Diamond surprisingly richer from some of its previous books. The characters were more developed and well written, ‘journey’ to oneself also had more space. Of course there were actions and some steamy scenes. What’s a romantic suspense book without one. But this one was a bit more standout than the peers through the characters.
I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.
Dezi is sent to help Diamond figure out who is forging her one of a kind jewelry by Levi and Ice. It's high drama all the way with danger extremely close and family misconceptions. I really enjoyed this book. Dezi and Diamond hit it off right away and Diamond is not afraid of going after what she likes. She is an extremely strong willed woman. I loved the excerpt for Vince at the end, I have a feeling his book will be equally exciting. Ms. Mayer's Seals series are always entertaining and have just the right amount of drama, intrigue and romance to keep you hooked from start to finish. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I was completely enthralled from the beginning, on the edge of my seat and hanging onto every word with unforgettable characters, suspense, action, mystery, twists and turns in this can't-put-down book. I loved the undeniable chemistry between Dezi Arnold and exclusive jewelry designer Diamond Liechester. This is book 18 in Dale Mayer's must-read Heroes for Hire series and I look forward to reading book 19. I received an advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. I liked it so much, I purchased a copy to read again later.
This is book 18 in the Heroes For Hire series and it features Dezi and Diamond. The mystery and suspense is fantastic and took over the whole story. I didn’t see the “not very exciting “ romance until it was already happening. It seemed like an afterthought. There wasn’t much in the way of flirting or foreplay. There were sexy times but not a lot of sexy talk.
Again, this story didn’t really need the romance because the mystery and suspense carried it through. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
