I like and hate this arc.
Things are heating up and that's great BUT I disliked the way the were setting and hyping up the 10 commandments only to be defeated easily AAAAND introduce new villains that are in equal strenght if not greater than the 10c.
THE WAY KING STEPPED UP HERE = EVERYTHING. He's so cool, glad to see him leveling up.

The fight between Escanor and Meliodas comes to an end as Escanor the one and only and the greatest character demolishes him. The thing that bothered me in this volume is the introduction of two ancient demons: Chandler and Cusack (masters of Meliodas and Zeldris). I mean the Ten Commandments are hyped for like 100+ chapters and they are suddenly gone. These two demons are supposed to be stronger than them. I feel like they killed off the Commandments quickly but still had some story left so they needed enemies to power up the characters even more. This is the biggest problem with this volume. Other than that, the action scenes are great as always. Even Escanor could not carry this volume.

Unbearable asshole + terrible power scale= Chandler, annoying as fuck new villain.

Gloxina and Drole refusing to obey Zeldris + Derieri and Monspeet choosing a to enjoy their second chance at life by peacefully existing= FUCK YOU, ZELDRIS, AND THE REMAINING TEN COMMANDMENTS!!!!

Bad ass fight scenes + Awesome "self sacrifice" (because plot armor is infamous in this series) scene from Gowthur + Great character moments from Ban, Diane, and King + Escanor kicking the ever-loving shit out of Demon Meliodas= really, really good volume.

I wholeheartedly approve.

I can never remember anything after I finish each volume, so I'm writing this obnoxiously long plot summary so at least I will remember what happens in this volume.

The fight between Escanor and Meliodas is cool at the beginning. I like when Meliodas slashes Escanor and Escanor says, "That itches" (18).

I wonder what Arthur and Nanashi's plan is for Camelot. It is exciting to see how strong Arthur has gotten, and I hope he can retrieve and use Excalibur like he plans.

I'm nervous about the Demon Lord reawakening and I feel a certain trepidation about the choice of Meliodas to succeed him (surely Meliodas will get his emotions back and refuse the throne, won't he?). At the same time, it is exciting to see how the Ten Commandments have been significantly weakened, summed up by the response (or lack thereof) to Zeldris' call for them to join him... Galland was turned to stone by his own commandment while fighting Escanor, Melascula (in snake form - I vaguely remember her fighting the Sins while trapping Meliodas and coming out worse from it) and Grey Road (I don't remember what happened to him) are confined in jars in Merlin's laboratory, Monspeet and Derieri are lying low and not participating off in the countryside somewhere... I'm interested in Fraudrin's demise, because I don't remember what happened but they show Griamore and Veronica at his grave. I'm not sure if he's really dead, or what. Estarossa is resting, and I can't remember what happened to him either. I am happy that Drole and Gloxinia officially leave the Ten Commandments! Good for them!

Cusack and Chandler appear from the Demon realm. The former is Zeldris' teacher and the latter is Meliodas' teacher. They offer their help and Chandler goes to fetch Meliodas from the Sins, who are making their way with Hawk Mama on the two-day journey to Camelot. It seems like Elizabeth still has her three days to live, and they are passing slowly...

King makes Diane a good luck charm out of his smashed helmet from Helbram, and a charm for Gowther out of Gowther's metal heart. That is a warm moment!

The fight between Chandler and the Sins is my favorite part of this volume. I love King and Gowther combining their abilities to attack him, and my favorite thing is the fist bump they share afterwards. Bonk. It's crazy how powerful Chandler is, knocking Merlin, Escanor (by creating genuine nightfall, on top of the immense damage he took during his fight with Meliodas), and Diane aside easily, and his Full Counter is a force to be reckoned with (along with apparently many other abilities). But Ban shows up (I forgot he was gone)! They all give a good fight, even now-tiny Diane.

I like how Gowther is undeniably on the side of the Seven Deadly Sins, even though he is supposed to be allied with the Ten Commandments. It is shocking when he collapses at the end, broken by violating Chandler's "Absolute Order" after Hawk fails to erase the mark on the Pacifier Demon's hand. I know he can't be dead (no one ever really dies in this manga, do they...), but I hope he gets better soon. He, and little girl Merlin, reverted to her original form when Chandler sends her own magic back at her.

It's a good thing Drole and Gloxinia come to the rescue, or else King would have been demolished by Chandler in his new, angry, dark-haired and winged form. King does a lot of great stuff in this volume, and I love him. His emotions concerning Meliodas and his total forgiveness of his captain move my heart. Elizabeth also shows her power a bit in protecting Meliodas briefly when no one else can help her.

I think that about covers it. Chapter 239/volume 29 ends with Drole and Gloxinia facing off against Pacifier Demon Chandler as they allow the gang to escape towards Camelot. Meliodas is completely passed out in Elizabeth's arms for the whole volume after his early fight with Escanor. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The side story at the end is... interesting. Apparently Vivian has Gilthunder trapped in her secret hideaway somewhere, underneath a mountain with a big statue on top. She's creepy... He uses the curse word "Lemada" to invoke her curse (placed on her by Merlin) and make the deadly scar spread on her body, but she enjoys it and asks him for more? Gross.

The Book i was The seven deadly sins by Nabaka Suzuki. In this Book The seven deadly sins have to fight against zeldris and to other people so they can protect meliodas and elizabeth. while they have to break elizabeth and meliodas curse in 3 days. if not elizabeth will die and get reincarnated. if she gets reincarnated the curse will make her find meliodas aigain and fall in love again. you should read this book if you like drama and romance.

Altro volume ricco di azione: pensavo che lo scontro con Escanor (iniziato nel precedente volume) durasse di più ma è stato meglio così perchè andiamo a conoscere niente di meno che il maestro di Meliodas. Un altro tassello della storia passata ci è chiaro e si avanza a quello che sarà lo scontro finale fra fratelli? Vedremo.
Per ora 4 stelle: buon ritmo di narrazione ma mi aspetto grandi cose in futuro.

Sono sollevata per il fatto che siano riusciti a fermare Meliodas ma preoccupata per le sue condizioni. Colpita dal fatto che tutti sono pronti a sacrificare la loro vita per Meliodas. Il nemico è molto forte ma con l’aiuto dei vecchi re dei giganti e dei folletti saranno in grado di proteggere Meliodas ed avere un futuro.

この一巻中メリオダスが現れていないっておかしい。主人公だよ。なぜ現れないの？ま、それをさておき、んんんんこの巻に新キャラがニョキニョキ現れて混雑になった。十戒は魔人族の天辺でしょう？何でいろいろな最強位魔人が現るの？ストーリがまた変になちゃった。進みが早すぎかな。

This volume has a bunch of fight scenes so it goes pretty fast but the overall story barely progresses. We defeat one obstacle only for two more to crop up. Meanwhile we’re fighting a 3 day deadline and all our characters keep getting hurt!

I also don’t understand the balance of power anymore. Meliodas is supposed to be one of the strongest demons, but suddenly there are two new characters that could supposedly defeat him. And Diane has such a low combat class now it’s sorta pathetic...

Honestly I’m not seeing any plausible way for this story to have even an inkling of a happy ending. (Unless the group is magically saved by the power of love and friendship which is how it looks like it’s gonna go)
