I raved about this book so much two people have already pre ordered it. I struggle to write a review that does it justice and isn't a million words long, but just trust me that it is so timely and needed. Tired of churchiness? This will help you find the antidote to that shallow wondering. Being a Christian isn't "getting saved." That's some term we invented. It's about living by the way of Christ. The gospel is his story of death and resurrection, not a formula you follow to "get saved." How we ...more

This is a book for you if you want to see the meaning of being a Christian more. It is more than just showing up to church and acting ''churchy'' This is definitely needed in our culture at the moment, If you want to follow Christ more than just ''being saved'' and going on with your life, this is also the book you need to read!

I received an arc of this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

“Jesus didn’t say, “Go into all the world and get people saved.” He didn’t say, “Get people to ask me into their hearts.” He didn’t say, “Go make good citizens of the empire.” Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). His words conveyed a clear command: Go into every person’s world and invite people to become followers of Jesus. We are not called to manipulate people into making a decision. The way of Jesus is the way of invitation, not the way of manipulation. The constant call of Jesus wasn’t “Ask me into your heart,” but “Come follow me.” 0 likes
