A very moving testimony of how God rescued the author from drugs, abuse, dark arts and the enemy's hand. Her testimony is amazing. Her writing is clear and easy to understand.

The chapters are short and quick to read. I liked the scripture-based declarations at the end of chapters 5-7, and day 5. I learned that breakthrough and freedom come from surrender, using praise as a weapon, and remembering who God is and who I am by using scriptures to refocus my mind.

I would just encourage you to read the scriptures for yourself, and not go by her summary. Her paraphrases miss some of what the scriptures are saying such as saying God is simply a healer from scriptures that tell of his substitutionary sacrifice for our healing. By His wounds I am healed means I have been restored to rightness with God, given His righteousness, not just simply healed.

Definitely an encouraging message. Knowing who God is, who we are to Him and His attributes is a good exercise to renew my mind and focus while battling my life issues.

3.5 stars. This book is great for devout Christians as the author basically provides a devotional, which follows her memoir in the text. There were a few theological aspects that didn’t sit well with me, which is mainly why I cannot give this book four or five stars. Nevertheless, the format of writing was great as was the overall delivery.
