Little Kippa is so brave!

This is a new arc for the saga. While the breach is spreading raving murderous madness, Kippa is led by her kidnappers to another mysterious character. In between flashbacks about what they want from the little fox, and mentions that Maika has lived something similar before.

3.5 but only because this felt like filler and was really short.

Another comic I waited to long to read! I absolutely love Kippa and I am glad she is becoming a more important character. The artwork is as gorgeous as ever. I can’t wait to get issue 20!

Haven't enjoyed a comic this much since high school.

The many layers of secrets that the characters in this series possess, the way that they unwind, ever so slowly...all of this, along with Sana Takeda's incredible artwork, will keep you coming back for more.

Kippa is my favorite so it was nice to get this issue mostly about her. It was pretty short though.

Excited

This issue pulls you right back in without feeling jarring. Only question...Master Ren? This is as spoiler free as my review gets. The loose inking style combined with a lush digital paint job always make up for anything else in this series. My only gripe with this series was the dumpster truck exposition that plagues most high fantasy in tiny narrator boxes. I’m glad to see them step away from that as at times it feels like a crutch.
