Prince Hugo and Amber have their own meet-cute in this book and yes, it is a standalone. Much more fun knowing the other characters though and getting to visit with them again. Snappy dialogue, a feisty beekeeping heroine, a mellow commune and a runaway prince - wow, what a combination. Loved this story and the cast of side characters alone makes this story worth reading. The emotion in this story grips you by the throat at times and embraces you in a warm hug at others. I loved the layers of connection between all the characters. The story beautifully explores what it means to be in a family from a number of perspectives. And the gripping surprise twists of the story ...more

A fun, easy read. The characters are original and likable, and this was a nice beach or summer read.

Australian romance author Ally Blake loves reading and strong coffee, porch swings and dappled sunshine, sparkly notebooks and soft, dark pencils.

She also adores writing love stories. Having sold over four million copies of her Harlequin Mills and Boon novels worldwide, she is living her dream.

Alongside one husband, three gloriously rambunctious kids, and too many animal companions to count, All
