The Light of Hope
The third and final book in the Rhythm of War series; be sure to check out books #1 and #2, The Last Legend and A Pawn's Betrayal.
*********
For the citizens of the People’s Republic of Virginia, their last hope of freedom has faded with their spirits. The eternal rains continue to fall. Tired, hungry, and soaked to fragile bones, there’s nothing left to do but march toward the only fate they have left: a life in slavery.
But not if Caroline can help it. She’s out of options, but giving up was never one of them.
Facing overwhelming new challenges and old enemies, Caroline soon learns that even when the bullets stop flying, the war is never over.
READER NOTE: The Light of Hope was originally published as Warchild: Spirit in the Warchild series. Newly refreshed for 2018, this title and the other two novels in the series promise to be as entertaining as ever!

Well Rounded
This final piece of the Warchild trilogy was well and truly an emotional, action-packed rollercoaster. I didn't give it add high of a rating as the last because I feel that there was hooked in character development that could still use some filling in. I have mixed feelings about who is I the "gang" set the end of the series given their history. All in all it was a great series with suspense, action, emotion, and a touch of romance.

Fast paced look into a possible future...
I'm not even sure why I picked this series, maybe I was bored and just wanted something to read.
What I loved about this trilogy ?, ACTION !!! Right from from the first few pages all the way to the end of the third book...
Was almost late to work because I didn't want to out the books down..

Again, hard to put down. The three novels in this series are chuck full of everything you’d want in an adventure: struggle, achievement, disappointment, revelation, heartbreak, resolution, perseverance, betrayal, and more.

Great read
Couldn't stop till I'd read the whole series. We all want to be as brave as Caroline. Even before she had super powers

I enjoyed this series, but I was completely disappointed by the ending. It was rushed and anticlimactic.

Is this it, are we done? Because it doesn't seem like it is... you know, since the ending was so awful! The entire three-part series culminated in a 20 page ending and left much to be desired. It was almost as if the author ran out of ideas and desire to finish the story and was like, well let's just have there be a giant fight ending with and then have the DAVs biggest POW just walk out of the camp without any trouble. The fact that Tanner just decide to made no sense and negated so much of the series for me. Not even halfway through this book I didn't think that I was going to finish it, but I forced myself to since I'd already gotten so far- a wasted few hours, in my opinion, since the ending left much to be desired.
Anyway... since I read the collected edition, I didn't really see these as individual stories. So it's best to see my review of the Collected Edition for my thoughts on the series as a whole:

Caroline Mathers is no longer a Kinder, robbed of her powers by one she trusted. Her people have been taken and are being driven north for a life of slavery. With the group of Republicons, she trails them, looking for a way to free them.
Not that easy though.
Author Ernie Lindsey moves us through his future world with a sure hand, throwing twists sneakily into the story.
Another winner

Great reads
I bought the first book of this trilogy some time ago but didn't get around to it until now. I read all three in successive days, I had a hard time putting them down. I will certainly be looking for anything else written by Mr. Lindsey with great anticipation.

Amazing story
A great story written by a great story teller. Reminds me of the societal under tones of JRR Tolkien.
The ending seemed to short but I'm hoping it leads to another book.
Can't wait to read more by Ernie Lindsey!

Creative writer
Hard to put down. I really enjoyed this series. Creative writer. Characters easy to follow and hated for it to end.

I decided to finish the series before posting a review. I loved the books. Great story telling had my attention thru every book. Hope there is another book or three.

Looking for books with strong female heroes. This is okay but there isn't an ending. The book just quits. A good, fast read.
