My biggest complaint about this book is that it needs to be updated. Originally published in 1997, it is lacking in information about a lot of the advancements in technology and statistics about spina bifida. That said, the general information is helpful and informative and it's probably why our doctor recommended we read it as we prepare for the birth of our son who was diagnosed with sacral spina bifida.
