A very good book of high qualirty, with amazing pictures and very well structured. It contains, in a very simple and clear way, the main benefits of each food, how to cook it to obtain better results, and has suggestions how to eat it. It also lists several common illnesses and how to fight it with food. At the end it has offers good recipes, which ones I am planning to try it. This is a great reference book, too.
There has been a huge movement lately with using foods and other natural sources to help with health issues and conditions. This book not only goes through detailed descriptions of specific foods with health benefits (and why they are so beneficial), it also provides information about a couple dozen health conditions that can be impacted by food. Each condition includes information about the vitamins and minerals, and which foods they are found in, that help with the condition, and a list of recipes. And the best part - the whole reason I bought the book - is the collection of recipes in the back of the book. They look so yummy!
