Well that time is upon us when the festive reads are starting to come thick and fast. And if you follow my reviews you’ll know I am quite partial.

description’s almost Christmas, the star there is guiding us, and I have a pregnant woman beside me.”
“Sorry to burst your bubble, but I’m no virgin.”

As you’ll have gathered from my rating, The Cowboy’s Christmas Baby didn’t exactly fill me with festive cheer. It started out reasonably well and the author clearly did enough to keep me reading with a story

1.5 - "You don’t have to do this all alone…" Stars.

Not much positive to say about this one, with a mainly dislikeable cast and average plot. The heroine acting like an ungrateful shrew for the most part, although her words relayed one thing and her actions another a lot of the time, and the hero fifty shades of dependably dull because he like the plot offered up nothing unique, apart from being happy to let a virtual stranger treat him like a piece of crap repetitively. The plot lacked depth, th

I love these Fly Creek books and this one was great. I need a cowboy like Dan! What a sweetheart.
Dan is leaving Fly Creek in the middle of the night at the same time that 8 months pregnant Sofie has driven cross country to her sister in Fly Creek both getting stopped on a herd of cows crossing the road. Neither can move. Sofie getting out of the car tries to shoo the cows along, she makes her way over to Dan who is now asleep in his truck knowing the cows will take their time... Sofie is mad. Sh

This book is hard for me to review because I don’t know where I stand on the whole thing. So I will write my review and hopefully by the end will have a star or stars for you. The book opens with Sofie Pennington eight months pregnant and driving across country after she divorced her husband. Her plan is to go where her sister lives in Big Sky Wyoming. The problem is she has not told her that she is coming, or that she is divorced, and let’s see oh yeah that she is eight months pregnant, Bow Chi ...more

Finally a cowboy book I enjoyed. Dependable Dan lived in Fly Creek. He did not have a blood family but was raised by a surrogate mom who was a leading citizen of the town. Now he felt that everyone just used him and did not reciprocate his kindness. He did not want to leave Fly Creek but felt he needed to do this for himself.

This is a sweet, touching story about two individuals, each with their own insecurities and struggles.
Dan Rigby meets Sofie Pennington in the middle of a snowy night on his way out of Fly Creek with the intend of starting a life elsewhere. Sofie is stranded, eight months pregnant, and wanting to do everything by herself after just divorcing a controlling man.
Determined to surprise her sister, since she’s decided to move and live in Fly Creek.

Hello everyone! It’s review time again! I’m reviewing The Cowboy’s Christmas Baby by Jennifer Hoopes.
I got this book as an arc from @netgalley and @entangled_publishing so thank you to both of them for providing this arc to me for my honest review.
Briefly, this book is about Sofie, a woman trying to start a new life in a new town with her unborn son, and Dan, a man who is trying to run away from that town to figure out himself. These two end up stuck on a road because of a herd of cows (is

So an 8-month pregnant woman who has just divorced her controlling, selfish husband drives across country to visit her sister in Wyoming. When she arrives, she meets a good-looking cowboy, Dan. He’s leaving his home because...well, I couldn’t really understand his problem with his home where everyone loves him. But he feels that they all expect him to help out because he’s just “Dependable Dan.” He doesn’t mind helping, but he feels taken for granted or something. So rather than telling them wha ...more

This is a nice sweet small town holiday romance. For me though it was almost too sweet. Dan is a great character but he takes nice to an almost unbelievable level. I'm not a fan of Sophie. I understood her need to stand on her own two feet but any mother knows that when there is a baby involved sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and accept the help. Instead of being grateful for the kindness shown to her by Dan and the town Sophie is resentful almost to the point of being rude. I had ...more

Pregnant and stranded in Wyoming in a the middle of a snow storm, Sofie Pennington is rescued by all around good guy Dan Rigby. As they get to know one another, Dan and Sofie learn to love and trust again. This is a wonderfully sweet Christmas romance that will have you cheering the happy couple on. A big thumbs up for the Cowboy's Christmas Baby.
Mari's Struggle is Real
Can I just say that if a man like Dan Rigby comes into your life, you grab him tight with both hands and don’t let go.
Sofie ran from her ex-husband as far as she could go, all the way to her sister’s place, and some cows getting in the way wasn’t going to stop her. Lucky for her Dan was there to lend a hand when she needed it, although she sure is reluctant to accept help.
Dan wants someone for himself that is going to love him and need him. He is tired of feeling like he isn’t enough but Sofie

THis was such a sweet story. Perfect to start getting into the holiday/Christmas spirit. It sometimes reminded me of a Hallmark movie, which I love to watch. Cute and entrrtaining story.

THE COWBOY'S CHRISTMAS BABY by Jennifer Hoopes is a short story of a cowboy and a pregnant single soon to be mom finding each other. It's a fast clean read that anyone would enjoy.

Sofie and Dan's story is my favorite so far of this series. Maybe it's the Christmas element that does it for me. There's not as much drama and self pity. These are a couple of things I didn't care for in the first two books of this series.

Reviewed on my blog, Becky on Books, on 11/16/18.

I loved how this book began--Sofie's middle of the night arrival at Fly Creek delayed by slow-moving cows was definitely unique, and made me smile. She's left her disastrous marriage behind her and is determined to do things on her own from now on (though this is kind of undermined by the fact that she's making a surprise move to the small Montana town where her sister now lives, isn't it? If she really didn't want any help from anyone, wouldn't s

The Cowboy’s Christmas Baby is the third and final book in Jennifer Hoopes’s Fly Creek series. I love this series. However, when it comes to this story, my feelings are all over the place. One of my issues is that I didn’t realize The Cowboy’s Christmas Baby and The Cowboy’s Homecoming Surprise overlapped at certain times. I kept expecting one important conversation between two characters to take place, but it never did. More on that to come.

Beautiful story.

Even though this book is the 3rd one in the Fly Creek series, you can rest assured that it stands on its own. In other words, you don't need to read the previous ones to understand and enjoy Sofie and Dan's journey. Or, if you have read the previous ones, in this last installment you will see beloved characters from the series.

Sofie has just divorced a controlling man that took away her choices in life. Pregnant, with a huge belly, she runs to her little sister who is now living

The Cowboy’s Christmas Baby is the third story in the Fly Creek series. And although I’ll always suggest trying to read a series in order, in this case there is an unresolved situation in Her Cowboy’s Homecoming Surprise that does affect Dan’s early actions in his story. It’s certainly not a deal breaker, and you will still find a good story, just that somethings might be better understood if you’ve read the previous story… in my opinion.

In a character driven series

The Cowboy's Christmas Baby by Jennifer Hoopes is the third book in her Fly Creek Series. I've read the first book of the series Her Cowboy's Promise. Sofie decided to surprise her sister with a visit, however, she's in for her own when, at eight months pregnant, she finds herself stranded in the middle of the road in Wyoming. All Sofie wants is a fresh start, one as far from her controlling ex as possible, to adjust to her new reality of becoming a single parent, though she can't get it if she doesn't make it to her destination of Fly Creek. I mean, who gets caught in the middle of a cow herd crossing the street? She does, of course, but so d ...more

3 out of 5 stars

This story is good, but I think it is a little too formulaic - girl gets hurt then hurts guy because she’ll never trust another guy then realizes her mistake and begs forgiveness. Dan was a super nice guy and I couldn’t understand why Sofie wouldn’t just go with it. It drove me crazy the WHOLE book that she was so hesitant to just accept that he was a good guy, but she nearly broke me when she broke him.

This is the first book for me by this author and the first one I’ve read in

Sweet Small Town Romance.
When Dan and Sofie first meet he is running away from his home town whist she is running towards it. It is in Dan’s character to help people and so he shelves his plans in order to look after a very pregnant Sofie and soon finds a reason to want to spend the rest of his life with her. However Sofie has been hurt and sees help as a form of control, what will it take for her to see that Dan is nothing like her ex?. Lovely story. The epilogue a year later was a nice touch.

This is a “Bliss” book so there is no harsh cursing and no on page sex. If those things are a turn off for you, there's nothing to worry about here.

This is the third book in the Fly Creek series, but you don't have to read the first two to enjoy and appreciate this one. That said, you really should read them because it's a fantastic series.

The Cowboy's Christmas Baby is a seriously great story about two people who aren't seemingly right for each other finding love and acceptance in each other. W

3.5 stars. This is the first book that I’ve read from Jennifer Hoopes and I got to say that I am glad I was not disappointed. I really liked this book. Dan and Sofie might have both been running away from their past but once they meet, they both realized that getting stuck in the middle of the road because of the cows was the greatest thing that could have happened to them. Sofie might have had trust issues and had a hard time believing Dan was not trying to control her but at the end she realiz ...more

3 1/2 Star Review.....

The Fly Creek series has been thoroughly enjoyable from the very beginning, but Dan and Sofie's story was a little different. Dan is a man ready to leave his hometown and start fresh anywhere else, but a chance meeting with a stranded Sofie changes his life in ways he never imagined. Emotional baggage, insecurities and an undeniable attraction make for a touching and heartfelt story of two people looking for something more; that is if you can get past Sofie's less endearing
