The New Hope Series Box Set: Books 1-3

For fans of the anti-heroine and stories told in unorthodox ways, The Social Affair delivers us the perfect dark and provocative villain. The only question—who is it?

The Social Book One

A timeless, perfect couple waltzes into the small coffee shop where Izzy Lewis works. Instantly enamored, she does what she always does in situations like she searches them out on social media.

Just like that—with the tap of a screen — she's given a front row seat to the Dunns' picturesque life. This time, she's certain she's found what she's been searching for. This time, she'll go to whatever lengths it takes to ensure she gets it right--even if this means doing the unthinkable.

Intense and original, The Social Affair is a disturbing psychological thriller that explores what can happen when privacy is traded for convenience.

The Replacement Book Two

Statistically speaking, fifty percent of marriages end in divorce. What are the odds for murder?

Widower Tom Anderson is a savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Problem is, one is a lonely number. Thankfully, he solved for X by finding the perfect woman. It wasn't easy. Tom is very specific. He has to be.

Having checked 'find trophy wife' off his list, life was moving along swimmingly. Until that perfect woman let it slip--she has a past. One she kept hidden, almost perfectly.

Sure, she lied—she fudged the numbers. Most women do.

Now, Tom has buyers remorse and according to cult rules only two get rid of her--or single-handedly erase her past.

She's a liar. But she does keep house well. And she makes a mean lasagna.

Decisions, decisions.

Razor-sharp and utterly gripping, this electrifying story explores the lengths one will go in the pursuit of perfection, little white lies that can turn lethal, and the danger lurking behind the smiles of those we trust most.

Speak of the Book Three

In the upscale suburb where Vanessa Bolton lives, she's your average suburban housewife.

She does her grocery shopping on Tuesday, Thursday mornings are reserved for Pilates, Sundays for church. At home, she's an impeccable housekeeper and a mother with a mediocre track record.

But in discreet hotel rooms throughout the city, she can be whatever you want her to be--provided you can afford the hourly fee.

In the rapidly expanding cult to which she belongs, Vanessa has been assigned the role of a "Siren"--a recruiter trained to use seduction to elicit compliance from her marks.

Vanessa's latest assignment—an unsuspecting chemist merely looking for something without strings--proves to be her toughest yet. Unwilling to neatly slide into the roles society has prescribed for them, the two collide in a sensual and savage affair that threatens not only their own lives but also those they seek to protect most.

Featuring "tantalizing suspense, pulse-pounding danger, sex, and double-dealing," Speak of the Devil is a timely and riveting psychological thriller that is impossible to put down.

Grab a drink. Settle in. I’ve got a quick story for you.

It starts, as most good stories do, with someone chasing a feeling.

Picture a Texas writer surrounded by five kids, two literary dogs, one unreasonable cat, and a partridge in a pear tree—all orbiting a household powered by caffeine, chaos, and sheer willpower.

Instead of getting into trouble in real life, she decided to invent it on the page. (Healthier for everyone. Mostly.)

She didn’t set out to write the perfect thriller, but she has been chasing a certain feeling for years—chasing the perfect story.

The kind that makes you miss your exit, burn your dinner, or stay up later than you meant to.
The kind that makes a reader say “just one more chapter” and lie to themselves beautifully.

Some writers chase awards.
Britney chases that feeling.

You might call it persistence.
She calls it passion—the only real secret ingredient behind thirty-plus books and counting.
Always reaching for whatever that elusive green-light moment is.

She hasn’t caught it yet.
But that’s half the fun.

The author writes a certain way that just captivates the reader. From (book 1)The Social Affair to (Book 2) The Replacement Wife to (Book 3) Speak of the Devil, there are twists and turns that are just going to surprise you and some unexpected endings that will leave you thinking...WHAT? (I had to re-read parts just to figure out where I missed something, because it was such perfect twist). Yes in book 1 I was a little disappointed at one part but when I kept reading everything came together and after reading all three books I have to say this trilogy was Riveting.
I had previously read all three New Hope Series books separately when each came out.
The Trilogy is best read in order. #PsychologicalThriller #Mystery #Suspense

“a true mark of maturity is when someone hurts you, and you try to understand their situation instead of trying to hurt them back.” The Social Affair

“What I’m thinking is…this isn’t going to end well. At least not for me. How I’m feeling is, not ready to die. What I know is, everybody’s somebody’s fool. And, whoever said small things don’t matter, never lit a wildfire with a single match.” The Replacement Wife

“Controlling your emotions isn’t so hard when you’ve been trained not to have any.” Speak of the Devil

I devoured these stories like they were my last meal! The way that people are treated, especially the wives of people who sign up to be in the New Hope Church will shock you! These are well written stories that make you wonder about things...could this really happen? Has it already? It will open your eyes and mind to things. I loved them!!!! I read each one when they came out separately.

I was intrigued with the daring topic and the progression of this series! The Social Affair was the first book I had read of Ms. King’s novels! I since have purchased (or received as a gift for signing up for her newsletter) every book of hers! Her works are brilliantly written! I thoroughly enjoy every one I am reading and looking so forward to more!
