In this novel, Dodie O’Dell, series protagonist, is on vacation at the Jersey shore, accompanied by her boyfriend, Police Chief Bill Thompson. While Dodie and Bill have come to spend two weeks at the shore, except when he is required to return home for a few days, she learns early on that she will be joined once again by the people from the local community theater, the Eatonville Players. I really liked this cozy mystery, set at the New Jersey shore. It made me feel like I was on vacation myself at times. I was able to get into this book right away—much more quickly than with most books. There was plenty of fun, with one main mystery to be solved, along with some smaller ones. I really liked the main characters—Dodie, her boyfriend Bill and her best friend Lola—and the minor characters were quirky and intriguing. The mysteries were just complicated enough, but not overly intricat ...more

Another entertaining installment in an enjoyable series. Not sure how I felt about the change in location. Probably didn't help that I found Dodie's ex-boyfriend Jackson annoying rather than endearing. Also, I think he should have been implicated in the death much sooner; it would have justified Dodie's rather extreme involvement early on. Like the second book in the series better, I think (I read it right before this one, hence the comparison). Though I continue to enjoy the crazy townspeople a ...more

This is the fifth book i the Dodie O’Dell Mystery series by Suzanne M. Trauth

This is a new author for me and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. This was a fun summer read. Dodie O’Dell and her police chief boyfriend, Bill are Etonville for a much needed vacation from the stress of all the sleuthing she did in the four previous books. But as we know death doesn’t take a holiday and Dodie finds herself immersed in another mystery she must uncover.

They know one person there, Grody, who runs a restaurant, the Sandbar, just like he had back when Dodie lived there. Different restaurant. Dodie just wants to enjoy her vacation with Bill back in her pre-hurricane life. Things start great and then her ex boyfriend shows up making himself at home. If course this makes things awkward but that is just get beginning because he ends up a murder suspect. No More Time is the first book of author Suzanne Trauth that I have read as well as being the fifth book in the Dodie O'Dell Mystery series. I found this cozy mystery delightfully engaging and kept me guessing until the very end - just the way I like my cozy mysteries.

I did have reservations about jumping into a series at book 5. Admittedly, I did not have a back history nor experience the development of the relationship between Dodie O’Dell and her boyfriend, Police Chief Bill Thompson but sur

What starts out as a relaxing seaside vacation for Dodie O’Dell and her boyfriend Bill — chief of police for their little home town of Etonville, NJ — soon morphs into the search for a murderer. And for Bill’s stolen BMW. Throw in an ex-boyfriend who’s hiding something, a potential hurricane, and a community theater festival in which the local Etonville company will be competing, and you have a lot of balls in the air! Fortunately, the author juggles them all handily.

No More Time was a fun summer read! Dodie and Bill are vacationing, on the New Jersey shore, and have two surprises spring up in the middle of their romantic and relaxing vacation - Dodie's ex-boyfriend and a long-time friend is murdered. Turns out both Dodie and Bill are keeping secrets about their vacation.

I enjoyed the latest book in the series.. It was interesting to see Dodie and Bill out of their small town and in a new environment by themselves.. However, it doesn't last long when the Eto

Dodie O'Dell heads for a Jersey Shore beach vacation with boyfriend, Bill, for the first time since the horrors of Hurricane Sandy. While it's fun being back there and reconnecting with old friends, she certainly wasn't expecting her ex to show up on her porch asking for a place to sleep. Soon she's drawn into investigating the drowning death of another old friend. Meanwhile, the community theatre group from Etonville ends up at the beach with her. Overall, a really good read. I love mysteries and this is one was fast-paced, fun, and quickly became a page-turner. I had a real connection to Dodie O'Dell who is on vacation at the Jersey Shore with her main squeeze Bill Thompson, Etonville, NJ police chief and lets her investigative instincts take over when her ex Jackson is the prime suspect in the murder of his former partner, Vinnie. Even though this is the fifth book in the series, I had no problem reading it as a standalone. I am so intrigued with Dodie and the gang ...more

No More Time is the 5th book in A Dodie O'Dell Mystery series, and I have read them all. I loved all of the well developed quirky characters in this book. In this adventure, Dodie and her boyfriend Bill head to the Jersey shore for vacation, but is anything simple with Dodie? Once I started this book, I could not stop reading it until I was done. Not only is this book an exciting mystery but also very refreshing and a quick read. If you love fun cozy mysteries, which are my favorite, you will lo ...more

I recently read this book, the 5th in the series, written by Suzanne Trauth. It’s set on a beach location with two individuals, Dodie and Bill, are vacationing together. The author is very descriptive of the settings where I felt like I was right with Dodie on the Jersey Shore helping friends and solving crimes. Her characters were well developed and personable. I would recommend you picking up this book and giving it a try.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Great Escapes Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Car theft and murder, what has happened to this town?
No More Time by Suzanne Trauth is a story about returning home and getting wrapped up in a murder investigation. Its a wonderfully written mystery with lots of fun subplots. And the setting is the Jersey shore.

The Fifth Dodie O'Dell Mystery

Dodie O'Dell and her boyfriend, Bill, are enjoying a relaxing vacation on the Jersey Shore. Away from the Windjammer and the Etonville Little Theater all that's on the menu is relaxing on the beach, eating good food, and sipping delectable cocktails with no drama. All that changes when Dodie's old boyfriend shows up and decides to camp out on their porch. Then the troupe from Etonville arrive, having received a last minute shot to comp

No More Time is the fifth book in Suzanne Trauth’s Dodie O'Dell Mystery series. The mystery is well-plotted and steadily paced. The characters are well developed. The writing style flows smoothly, and the book is a clean, quick, easy read.

This is the 5th in the Dodie ODell mystery series. This is the first one that I have read and it can be read as a stand alone, however, I will need to go back and read the others as this was a good story and cozy. Dodie and Bill think they're going on vacation. They certainly deserve a good time at the beach given that she's been busy running a restaurant (and solving murders) and he's the police chief in Eatonville. Hah. Things don't work out that way when Jackson, her ex, shows up and THEN is the chief suspect in the murder of his partner. Dodie knows he's got his issues but she's sure (in true cozy style) that he's not a killer. ADD to that the Eatonville theater crew appears because they are in a comp ...more

This is the 5th book in the "Dodie O'Dell Mystery Series." I have not read any previous books in the series yet found this book can be read as a stand alone to understand the series. Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the ARC. My opinion is my own.

This was a fun mystery read. Restaurant manager Dodie is planning her Jersey shore vacation when her boss tells her he needs her to work an event for competing theater groups. As her dreams of a seaside vacation fade away her ex Jackson

Now that was OMG 😲, YIKES 😊 and DUDE 😎 all rolled into one! I spent most of the book mad 😡 at Bill for not being there and the rest mad 😡 at Dodie for letting Jackson be there. (I'm mad a lot these days) I spent so much time being mad 😠 I didn't know who the killer was! Now... don't even get me started on Lola. She needs to whack Walter upside the head and then stop ✋ throwing herself at EVERY good-looking guy she sees! Try a ugly one it might work out. 😉 The end left me with saucer eyes 😱 of my ...more

Terrific addition to a fun series. Dodie and her chief of police boyfriend go to the Jersey Shore for a vacation. Doesn't end up to be much of a vacation for either of them. Ex boyfriend is a hoot. Several twists and turns. Some expected, some not. The usual cast of characters end up in the same place, adding to the familiarity of the series. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.

I absolutely loved this story. Dodie is one of my favorite characters and her role in this book was exceptional.
I enjoyed that the story revolved around her vacation and the introduction of her ex brought on an exciting twist.
I was captivated from the moment I opened the book until the very end.
I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This was the first one I read in this series and I really enjoyed it. The cover is so cute and the story is so good that it was one that I couldn't put down. It has so many ups and downs which makes the book so interesting. Many times I was nervous as Dodie really gets herself into some pickles. Suzanne hit this one right up the line !

I was pretty excited to read this book because I'm from Pennsylvania and we used to visit the Jersey shore often. I remember Sandy and the effects that it had and it was quite devastating.

This was an easy read that I enjoyed. Dodie, it seems, has missed her calling as a detective. She works at a restaurant but she really enjoys poking around and solving crimes, much to her Police Chief boyfriend's dismay. She and her boyfriend are on vacation at the shore when someone she used to know shows up
