A cruel twist of fate slams Taya face-to-face with destiny.

When a Desert Guide reveals to the council that the Kahn-lea have discovered a major alien artifact, Taya is catapulted into a salvage mission she has no business being a part of. No matter how hard she tries to tell Dez that something’s wrong… with her, he doesn’t listen. He breaks promises. And, worst of all, he doesn’t understand that she’s not the same woman who stormed the Underground caverns all those months ago.

Now, as a group of Talian ex-military terrorise the new world, a leading Environmental Scientist claims Gamma is terraforming Xannia. The sands of time have run out.

Plan A will destroy a God.

Plan B could unite a nation… or kill the only woman fated to try.

Growing up in Ontario, Canada, MJ was the only child of a single mom. MJ’s passion for the arts ignited at a young age as she wrote adventure stories and read them aloud to close family and friends. The dramatic arts became a focus in high school as an aid to understanding character motivation in her writing. Majoring in Theatre Production at University, with a minor in English, she went on to teach both elementary and high school for 10 years throughout Simcoe County.

MJ currently lives with her husband and young son in Caledon, Ontario. She keeps busy these days writing, editing for Love Knot Books, and helping coach Indie Authors. She firmly believes that if she hadn’t been born a Virgo, she would not be half as organized as necessary to accomplish everything in her daily agenda.

What a great wrap up to the series. It is sad to see the series end. A lot of questions are answered here. One of the hardest jobs for an author is to keep the reader engaged not only through a book, but through a series. The only question really left unanswered is: what's next? This series sets the standard high. One can only hope that there will be ... a 5th book? Does it have to end?

A riveting conclusion to the Chronicles of Xannia series. The characters are as complex as their relationships to each other and the story brings together those who were the original rebels with those who took up their cause. During their quest to unite and become one people, circumstances force those who believe in science and those who believe in the gods to make difficult choices in order to save their planet from transforming into an inhospitable world. Will they destroy the Child god to justify their survival and accept a civil war, or will the broken, but determined, Taya be able to transcend her own doubts and fears to figure out the alien technology that has been left behind? You are left guessing right to the end how it will turn out, and also if the love between Taya and Dezmind can survive it.

A fantastic conclusion to the series. M.J. Moores has crafted a world with loveable characters that have relatable problems, all set on a alien world. It's no easy feat and while I am sad to see the characters go, I was left with a satisfying ending.
