The hilarious and heartwarming return of Jeff Spicoli!
I hadn't heard that name in decades, so it was especially funny to see our hero, Brandon, use it as an alias in a one-night-stand on his twenty-first birthday. That and an illegible phone number resulted in his not knowing that something completely life-changing happened that night. Nine years later, Grace happens to see the familiar face in an online video, and she finally has the chance to confront her daughter's father.
Brandon and Grace have a beautiful, whirlwind romance that is the stuff of fairytales. Brandon isn't anything like the narcissistic womanizer she thought he'd be, and Grace is so much more than Brandon could've hoped for as a mother for his child. I loved how the writing focused on their character and compatibility without ignoring the blazing-hot chemistry they shared. It was nice to see that the daughter wasn't portrayed as perfect, yet she's not a brat, either. Even though the romance moved fast, it felt real and honest with careful attention paid to both the pros and cons for everyone involved. The HEA was absolutely exquisite.
The cast of characters from the first two books were wonderfully incorporated into this story, and I have to confess that I'm completely in love with Liam. I hope he gets a book in this series, or at the very least we get some follow-up with his hot little redhead. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
