Rumblin' Knights #1

Knights Rising

Rate this book
Somethings are best left alone.
I know this. I should stand by it.
That would be the safest option for me.
But, well, I just can’t do that.
Because the thing I should leave alone…is everything.
It is the reason I breathe.
It is the reason I keep putting one foot in front of the other.
I need help. I know it, but nobody wants to step up and give that to me.
The case is too hard.
There is nothing they can do.
And then I meet them. Bikers. The Knight Brothers.
They can give me the help I need. They have the resources.
But there is one problem that lies amongst all of this.
Lincoln Knight.
I can’t stand him.
I loathe him.
I despise him.
And yet, he’s determined to help me.
He won’t take no for an answer.
And if I’m being honest…I need him.
But working with him, spending time with him, it’s the last thing I want to do.
But…I have no choice.
And I know it.
This most definitely won’t end well.

#CLIFFHANGER
-------------
1 ⭐- Ugh! Didn't like it or triggers or pet peeve!

---------------
I did not like the heroes. He's an asshole and she's a dumb shit.
They fuck and after he treats her like a whore. Give her the wrong number and leave in the middle of the night without saying goodbye. Ignore her, too.
After that he fucks other women.
She sees everything, hates him and still wants this asshole. The body controls the mind and horniness commands everything.
And ends in cliffhanger, which I abhor. Rest my case.

Not only did he put his number in my phone wrong, but he disappeared in the early hours of the morning and stole my damned panties!

He used me and tossed me aside like some cheap rag.

He asked me to meet him here and he’s been screwing another girl while he waits?

I grunt as hot cum spurts down her throat. Who, I don’t know. Picked her up at a bar.

I pull out a condom, roll it on, and stride forward, grabbing her by the hips and in one hard thrust, sinking my cock into her.

I fuck her anyway, but her screams are off-putting.

My dick twitches. “You smell like sex,” she says, scrunching up her nose. “How the fuck can you smell sex?” She raises her brows. “I don’t know, but it has a smell, and you smell like it.”

“This is just sex,” she says, holding my eyes. “I don’t like you. I don’t want anything from you.” “Except an orgasm,”

“You enjoy sex. I enjoy sex. We had sex. That’s it. No need to make it into something it isn’t. We had each other here, so we took that chance. If it was anyone else here, I’d have done the same thing.”

“So which girl made you come over and say sorry?” I say, looking to him. I’m only teasing, but I’m hoping to redirect my thoughts right about now. “Charlie.” Oh. I feel like I’ve been slapped.

Yana ... She ruined my life. At least, she tried very hard to. She did nothing but cause me problems, and he has the nerve to call her hot.

I know Nicolai isn’t a cruel man. But he stole my child. And he disappeared.

Shania has been searching for someone so she asks the local MC, Knights Rising for help. Lincoln, the man she had a one night stand with a month ago and whom she now can’t stand, wants to help her. They can’t stand each other and there’s a lot of sexual tension which makes them bicker. A lot. Lincoln is so intrigued with her, he wants to know the real reason why she’s looking for this person.

After their ONS in the beginning of the book he gave her a fake phone number😳.. obviously she didn’t leave an impression on him nor did he plan on going back to her. Personally, I don’t like that.

Every book in this series is based on a different character and that’s a problem for me as this was an open ending... like they didn’t even say I love you in this book😐. It just ended. (Although we can see that Lincoln cares for her and he’s protective of her). They will probably be featured in other books but as secondary characters. I need more, because for all I know, they not even compatible nor will they even last as a couple. To make matters worse

Besides these few things I don’t like, I found the story line interesting and different which kept me reading. And the author’s writing was very good.

The next book will be about Finn, Lincoln’s brother.

Unanswered questions

I haven't read Bella's books for some time now. I loved her old MC books Jokers Wrath and Sinners, however her work since then not so much.

Ok so on to this book, it DRAGS and it feels like you in a loop Lincoln hates her Shania hates him let's have sex,, over and over rinse and repeat. Then we go back in the past with Yana and Nicolai that has you searching for the big reveal from Shania that's dragged out. Nicolai took her son ok well that could of came out many chapters earlier instead of dragging it out through long boring chapters.

You are left hanging even though it's supposedly a stand alone. Questions are unanswered, like what happened with Yana? From how her character is portrayed she wouldn't have just given up. How did things work out in the long run with Shania and her son???!

Knights Rising is book One in the Rumblin' Knights Series. This is the story of Lincoln and Shania.
Lincoln is a hard man that is used to women falling at his feet. Shania doesn't take his crap and she tries to be strong but as with everyone it can't be done all the time. Although sparks fly between the two they boarder on the love/hate relationship with is slowly turning toward a strong love. I enjoyed their story and hope to read more books in their series.

Zhero is a walking dick. Treats h like a skank, she catches him with other ow, he's either getting bj or f*cking ow and treats h like is own personal toy, even came over to her after getting bj and unfinished f*ck then later she heard him getting himself off . I think he was suppose to come off as alpha but instead he was just a dick/douche, h just as bad. She was was a total tsl with her first love, went after him like a dog in heat even though he had a main hook up chick - that could be forgiven she was only 18 but looks like lesson not learnt.
I could guess what the mystery was regarding the h pretty quickly to be honest. The book ended really weird - no "I love you" just H telling her she was his or some shit like that. The story line regarding the h and her mystery was not resolved, the bitch that tried to kill her or arm her numerous
times is running around also not resolved so confused since other book is suppose to be about other brother (who is also another cheating douche btw). I'm curious enough to read it only to see what if the whole situation with these MC's gets resolved. I hate feeling unsatisfied LOL.
Overall, nothing wrong with writing style, flowed but just hated both MC's, not HEA to me just HFN or until H decides to slip his dick into another skank.

This book really had me on the edge of my bed reading it because there was so much going on and at first I couldn't figure things out then as I got further into the story things started to fall into place for me. There was so much push and pull between Lincoln and Shania and lord these two can fight. They can get right down and dirty with each other. Shania was not taking Lincoln's shizz and she let him know that right off the bat.

Shania needs the help of the Knight Brother's but she doesn't want to seek it out at first. Then she does and Lincoln wants to help her out but she doesn't want him to help her out but she has no choice because Lincoln is one cocky mother effer and he is determined to help Shania out and he does.

As these two go at it I loved the banter between the two of them because Shania knows she needs help and Lincoln is so damn cocky an alpha male who will not take no for an answer. The roller coaster ride they gave me was exciting because I never knew what i was going to get from them and when they gave lord they gave but when they were together they were burning hot and steamy.

I need more from these two so I hope we get that in the next book because I can't wait for book two in the series.

This was more like the Shania and Nicolai show. Lincoln was more of a secondary character. Dragging the big reveal out for so long was kind of annoying, though I correctly guessed what it was. Shania was weak-willed and Lincoln was a gross pig. I didn’t feel their love at all and didn’t really care what happened to them. I was more interested in Erin and Finn’s story, also in leaning Nicolai’s story.

I read it and it was okay.
I didn't love it. It was kind of hard to follow at some points.
But it was still a good read but I didn't like it all that much.
I'll read the next book to see if it gets better.

There are potentially a lot of no go zones that this book barges over but my biggest peeve is it read like two romances playing out, Then and Now. The h & H and h and her ex and we get all the sexual scenes too. In the Now, they get together as a hookup and so if he pretty much just walks away after that, well thats a definition of a hookup. He is a dirty ho though and it really makes me think the h didn't have much going for her if she knows he is a douche and still can't resist him. I didn't like either character, and their romance was no romance, no connection, no depth or intensity. It's only near the end, when there is the 'big' reveal, that there is any emotional depth. And that wasn't becuase of the romance. It's easy to figure out the 'secret' by then but it still pulled me in. Its at this stage the rating when up slighty from 1*. But on reflection, given how I felt for most of the book, 1*.

Ugh I love this author and have read many of her other books which makes it hard to write this review. This book is written well and I usually love MC but this one was a no go for me. My dislike for this story is completely about subject matter. I had an inkling where this story was going and I was not wrong. What happens is one of my BIGGEST fears. Because of that it was not entertaining or intriguing. I also felt it was unrealistic and the characters weren’t redeeming to me.

Ok, so here’s my problem!! I actually love the authors writing style and there is a great story behind this and how real it is BUT there is also so much that I hated!!
For starters the hero treats her badly and she is just so uncontrollable, constantly screaming and shouting, like grow up!
Also he sleeps with not 1 but 2 other woman and because they aren’t a couple, it’s ok!! NO!!! It’s not ok at all! You also get to experience her past sexual encounters with her ex!!! Yay!! Said no one ever!!!
Really, this all just upset me so much because I actually enjoy Bella’s style of writing even if I don’t love the content! Oh well.
This is my honest and unbiased review!

Bella's leading ladies Shania's headstrong, and I absolutely love her she's capable of handling her own business but asking for help when she needs it and the last thing she wants is Lincoln's help.

Lincoln is a man-whore let just put it out there but I still loved him and his character although there were sometimes that I just wanted to slap him across the face.

This book was so good and I can't wait for the next one.

Knights Rising by Bella Jewel
“Enemies to lovers, 3 stars”

Shania and Lincoln are like oil and water. When they first met the chemistry was off the charts. Then the hate happened, but what happens when there is hate and chemistry? You have explosive moments. You know what they say, there is a fine line between love and hate. What side of the line will they fall on?
I liked the idea of Knights Rising. I love Bella Jewel, but this story just fell short for me. Obviously, there is more to the story then what I mentioned up above, but I don’t want to give anything away. With that said there were two things in the story that had me scratching my head wondering what happened. I wasn’t satisfied with what she gave me. It could just be me, but I couldn’t get into Knights Rising. With that said I will try again with the next book in the series.

I called it. I called it. I called it. The problem was their story is far from finished. So many missing pieces and things that need to happen and be said. Don't get me wrong Shaina and Lincoln were HOT and needed the clash to move forward but their separate vices was half baked. I truly hope more is to come because this had a five star potential.

I absolutely love this author and have read all of her books, but what is happening to her most recent ones? I feel they all end to abruptly and there is just so much left unsaid. I don’t know maybe it’s just me. This is a miss for me.

I love Bella Jewel and was over the moon she released a new MC series Knights Rising. This series starts off with Lincoln and Shania. Let’s just say the morning after. You know after that one mistake BUT it was so good?! Shania has found herself in a bit of trouble and needs the club help. Now this is my gripe about her, you need help but won’t give any details? Shania has a past of course and her secret is BIG. Although I can say she didn’t act too pressed in the beginning, I mean yea sure she was concerned but her behavior said anything but. Lincoln of course is a jerk who doesn’t know how to articulate his feelings. He is in a MC and gets women throwing themselves at him all the time. These two do the old song and dance: I love to hate you, lets still continue to sleep together, oh and everyone in the club knows their business. For me Lincoln and Shania love story was missing something maybe a spark? Like I said the story starts off with them hating each other, sleeping together, and him helping her find her old boss. BUT it was missing the depth we get from this authors other stories. This story had so many missing pieces, like chapters needed to be added. I just wasn’t as invested in this story. Don’t get me wrong Bella Jewel is a great author and I love her earlier work and the ones under her old pen name as well BUT these last few stories seem to be fillers like the passion is missing from it. This is just my opinion and not the gospel. For me this story wasn’t overly complicated but wasn’t that interesting to keep my attention either. Please read and judge for yourself.

It’s always exciting when a new book by this author is released and this was no exception. The characters, old and new, are fabulous and the storyline was solid and definitely not over the top.

Lincoln Knight, the eldest Knight brother, runs his own garage as well as an underground fight club. He is instantly attracted to Shania when he meets her at her cafe but isn’t prepared for anything more than one night. She on the other hand admits to the attractiveness of Lincoln but also to his antagonist, annoying mannerisms and so begins a situation where barbs are thrown rather than kisses and hugs.

The story is told in two different time stages, necessary to explain the background to Shania and her problem. But it also helps to build a clearer character profile of Shania. She has an inner strength that helps her to stand up for herself but might get her into a bit of trouble too or that could be the touch of sass she owns as well. The underlying issue Shania has is slowly revealed as the past is and we find why it is she is so desperate to find Nicolai.

Lincoln is an opinionated, straight shooter who is also a hard working man dedicated to friends and his brothers. His past has shaped him too and this has caused him a lot of unrest. One thing we witness quite a bit is that he is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in and isn’t quick to judge judge others for their pasts.

I enjoyed this story because it wasn’t your usual enemies to lovers, there is a slightly different element to it and of course getting to meet up with old characters and meet new ones is fun too.

I finished this because it was a Bella Jewel book(and I’ve liked a lot of her stuff)....but wow.....i didn’t like any of the characters and actually hated a few......looks like this may be a series I can safely skip. The story was disjointed with all the back and forth between the present and the past and the varying narrators. Lincoln is a LOT more a$$hole than Alpha. Shania bordered on TSTL. More than once I just wanted to slap her and that feeling never fully went away. FYI there’s also a lot of characters from a previous series that if you haven’t read yet you’ll be totally lost. This may be book 1 but it’s an offshoot of another series (which I hadn’t read completely) so good luck figuring out who they are and why they’re supposed to be important.

Lincoln and Shania take us on a journey that is full of romance, hate and heartbreak. I love Shania and everything she stood for. Her situation broke my heart but Lincoln found a way to turn a help situation into a happy ending. The way these two are you each other will blow your mind. Awesome writing.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
Lincoln has some demons that he is battling from his past and failing his brother. Then he meets Shania and has one night of unbelievable passion. Now she needs help and he is bound and determined to help her whether she wants it or not. The question is what is she really hiding and how will they fight their connection? This story broke my heart as I learned more of Shania past and when I found out what her secrets were wow, what a jaw dropper. Great characters that you will love learning more about. I became so engrossed in this story and I can't wait for Finn's you know there will be fireworks!!!
This is a new spin off series of Bella Jewel's Iron Fury series. They are all about the Knight brothers and book one is all about the oldest Knight brother Lincoln.
After some serious doubts Shania decides to give in and ask the Knight brothers and their MC for some help with a difficult situation. However Lincoln Knight is someone she would rather forget after a past encounter but he is is the one who is determined to help her the most. Shania however won't tell him her reasons for the help she needs just a name of a person that she needs to know the whereabouts of. Lincoln is determined to get to the bottom of it but at this moment in time trust is everything in Shania's world and so she keeps her cards close to her chest, lets face it he would never understand anyway.The only thing they both know and understand about each other is the fact that they can't stay away and their chemistry is explosive.
Well Wam Bam Thank You Mam! Initially the first half of the book was a total slow burn for me and my frustrations with Shania were working up to slap level. I kept on going though and it got way more interesting to the point of hooked in the second half. Lincoln is a hot alpha male who loves hard but fights harder for the woman in his life and is of the typical character style we have come to love from Bella Jewel. Shania can be very indecisive, whiny and random but give her a chance because you will come to learn a lot more about her in the second half of the book in particular. The plot itself has its fair share of secrets and twists to keep the reader invested. Overall even though I found the first half slow, it proved to be well worth the wait and ended as another thoroughly enjoyable read from the author. I can't wait until we get the next in this series.
I love hate/love relationship they’re so much fun to read. The hating part then comes the loving part (sometimes). Shania needs the help of the club and Lincoln has decided he is going to be the one to help her. Obviously things are not going to run smoothly with these two bickering. She’s looking for her old boss for reasons she won’t say and you’re left wondering what the hell does she want with him. She had a crush on him and he wasn’t an complete ass. But she adamant that she must find him. It’s jaw dropping I must admit, (the reason) as far as surprises go this one is a big one and threw me for a loop. Absolutely shocked. I liked certain things about this story but found other parts fell flat for me. For me it’s missing that special magic that Joker Wrath and MC Sinners series have.
Shania and Lincoln have a one night stand where he leaves in the middle of the night giving a fake number. Yet, fate keeps throwing them back together which creates a serious love/hate relationship between them. Shania has secrets that drives Lincoln crazy has he needs to know why she is determined to find the guy she has his MC looking for.
Shania is young at 22 with flashbacks to when she was 18 making choices that effect her life. Linc is fight demons of his own from choices he made when he was young. I had to keep reminding myself that they were both young as the swiped at each other that was hurtful.
Kindle Unlimited -first in series.
Not one of my favorites, Was kind of rambling and the characters where in a kind of in a love -tug a war relationship. They got together -was separate and Shania was kind of whiny. Left me with lots of questions about the relationship and if was even a good one. Also a cliff hanger ending.
Pretty good
Pretty good story. Interesting twists and I'm interested in Finn's story. Lincoln took some getting used to but once he got over himself I really started to like him. Shania was an odd mix of maturity and immaturity in the beginning but she grew on me as well.
Truly, this was absolute nonsense. I'm a seasoned MC junkie, and once up a time, Ms. Jewel would work for me. But I would say over the last 3-4 books of hers that I've read, they've gotten progressively more messy for me.
I will say, the overall story line of the heroine wasn't actually kind of intriguing, but this book ends with literally zero resolution. And there were more than one massive plot lines that needed an ending. Especially after reading on that Book 2 will be from a different POV.
I know this comes off as harsh, but after reading this one, it actually felt like a waste of time. I had to start reading something immediately after to get the bad taste out of my mouth.
Weird story
I’m sorry. This story was all over the place. I don’t even know how to describe it. There is obviously a series before this one because the author was talking about the characters like we knew who they were. There was so much back story in the chat that to get to know them was difficult. The author decided to do a Then and Now story line with the female character, Shania. As reads we get to follow her past and venture into the present and why she is looking for her former boss and lover. Shania asks a local motorcycle club to help her. Unfortunately, the person she least want help from is the same man she had a one night stand with.
Shania has had t very rough past and so has Lincoln. We never fully understand what has happened to him because it seems it is in another book from another series. We still don’t know what happened to Lincoln and his brother. There some other things going on that readers do not know the story. I cannot say everything about this book but there are some events that would ruin the story if I tell and there are apparently people in the end who are getting stories that the author seemed excited about but again they are from another series. I don’t mine the mixing of books, storyline and characters but at least help new readers to story. Not an exciting end. Very abrupt and not exciting because agin you have to know the characters. When an author says a book is fine and it is a standalone, this is one book that I feel reading the others will make the story more interesting. There is also just some confusion and a lot of “what” and “no mother would do that”.
