This is the perfect alphabet book for preschool! It has rhyming text, activities throughout, and just silly enough to keep everyone laughing. I do wish the “x” page had been an ending x sound instead as that’s how it is phonetically introduced, but otherwise this is a love for our family.

cute book that includes all of our favorite Sesame St characters, I just worry about the ideas kids will get in their little heads about making messes...

Have a Happy Mess

This is a totally Grover Messy Alphabet book. It is unusual and one of a kind. If you don't have a smile on your face when you start, you will be laughing with your kiddo by the end. There are guest appearances.
Some of the alphabet is:
J is for juice all over the floor.
W is for a wet smelly dog in the rain.
This book will be a treasure and favorite to read over and over.

This is an extremely nutrient-dense alphabet book + interactive instruction manual. The size of the book is larger than more board books, and the margins have "Engage, Point, Skills" ideas for parents and caregivers. The book intersecting alphabet lists with dialogue resembling standard Sesame Street dialogue. The messy terms are unusual.

This is another awesome book. It is a Sesame Street and almost all children are familiar with Sesame Street. The illustrations in this book are awesome and because this book is "messy" and different than other alphabet books, I think children would truly enjoy it.

I marked this as "books" because this book has lots of tips throughout and on the back about how to engage children with the book even more. This book has a great rhyming way of going through the alphabet with messy stuff! I am definitely saving this for a preschool storytime!

K is for Knitting Yarn?!?! Come on, Elmo, you could have picked a more appropriate word for children just learning about letter sounds! And Z is for Zzzzzz always feels like the easy way out to me. Other than that, it was a good book.

A new favorite alphabet book. Oscar the Grouch is tired of lovely alphabet books full of cute kittens, cuddly puppies and more lovely things. He wants a MESSY alphabet book... so he "creates"one... and his Sesame Street friends join him!

Fun new way to read the alphabet. The book doesn't flow nicely--the flow has interruptions when a new character joins and asks to make a mess, too.

Super fun

I may have enjoyed reading this more than the kids listening. ALthough all the kids 4 to 11 really kicked it and it’s easy to sing too.

This book is amazing! Creative GOLD! The characters’ voices are there - everything is… beautiful. I’m going to have to buy a copy. Probably the best book I’ve read all year.

Cute story! Sesame Street creates such great stories! Little ones are going to enjoy this messy little book. Might be a great read before fingerpainting- OUTSIDE- on a hot summer day! Or maybe, after playing, read the story to encourage cleaning up! They will make another mess later anyway! More room to make a new mess. Illustrations are priceless!

Totally adorable! Often, ABC books get to be long and lose kids’ attention, but I think “The Messy Alphabet Book” is an exception!
