Mindy Lou's Book Review
I had such fun with this book and Cara is going on my favorite heroine's list. She was sweet, adorable, and little bit of quirky. She also had a great attitude no matter what situation she was in. I'm usually all about the heroes but she was just as good as he was in this.

Henry is the strong, silent type. He only showed hints of a smile when Cara would be cute with him. He seemed to get attached to her quickly and was very protective of her. I really adored these two. There is nothing better

Cara is the sweet sister who doesn’t really get physically involved in the family Bounty business but instead helps by doing background checks in between studying to be a teacher. Still after the mess their mother left them in Cara is determined to do more to help and decides to track down a dangerous man who hasn’t returned for his bail hearing but getting caught by him trying to get into his motel room is just the start of Cara’s problems !
Ok I’m going to be blunt and say I wasn’t impressed

Oh my God. I love this series. It's perfection. I don't know how Ruggle had me falling in love with accused murderer and bail jumper Henry Kavenski and I don't care. What's a couple murders when the guy's gorgeous, enormous, and surly? I'll still dig it.

Ruggle is writing about 5 sisters and somehow they all have incredible defined personalities. I could pick them apart by their dialogue alone. And, while this book is mostly following Cara and Henry on their twosome adventures, it's not without

Ruggle's Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunter Series is more than expected. I need to go back and pick up "IN Her Sights" the first in this story. This family of sibling running a bounty hunting business is a refreshing idea. Cara Pax is hoping to become a kindergarten teacher but she has to try to help the family business because of her thieving and missing mother has left their home in jeopardy. Her efforts lead her into danger and put her life in the balance. Henry Kavenski is one of her skips and ...more

Cara tried to make money for her family who is financially struggling by bringing in a bounty. She puts herself at risk and ultimately makes herself a target. The setting is so descriptive it actually reminded me that I am terrified of heights. The characters are multifaceted. I enjoyed this book immensely and will seek out other work by this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Continues the story of the Pax sisters. This is a return to form, with a more developed hero than the first book in the series. I've just realized, a day after finishing it, that it gives a really good, visceral depiction of their surroundings and experiences. I usually sort of skim over chase scenes, but this one pulled me in.

Cara tries to help bring in some income by doing a little skip-tracing, but it's really not her jam; the accused murderer she's trying to apprehend winds up saving her

This is the second story featuring Rocky Mountain bounty hunting sisters. Cara Pax is the sister least likely to go after a big skip. She is in school to be a kindergarten teacher and does research for her sisters who do the fieldwork. But as things keep getting tighter due to her mother's transgressions, Cara decides to try to help out more in the field.

Her first attempted skip turns out to be a big, burly fascinating man named Henry Kavenski who happens to be accused of murder. He had every

This is the second book in the Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series by Katie Ruggle.

I had never even heard of Katie Ruggle before I picked this book up. And I am so glad I did. The author just hit this one out of the park for me! I was captivated from page one.

I felt bad for Cara who just wanted to do research for her family’s bounty hunter business and be a kindergarten teacher. She felt like she was disappointing her family by not giving more effort to their cause. They were nearing

Cara and Henry forever! Cara is one of five sisters all involved in a bounty hunting business. Cara's mom has gotten all the sisters into a huge heap of trouble by stealing a necklace and then using her daughters' house as collateral to fund he bail. As a result, everyone (even future kindergarten teacher Cara is pitching in to find their mom and keep the business going. Cara usually sticks to research only - but has recently been involved in field work without telling her sisters. That is how ...more

Cara Pax is a researcher not a bounty hunter, but with the sisters spread thin due to their mother stealing a priceless necklace and (probably) skipping bail they need all hands on deck. The trouble is Cara isn't particularly good and her first trace, Henry Kavenski, catches her breaking into his hotel room and Cara is pretty sure he didn't buy her flimsy excuses about looking for her boyfriend.

After striking out with Henry Cara decides to try a simpler capture, which turns about to be anything

I received this ARC for an honest review. This story is about Cara and Henry. Cara and her sisters are bounty hunters. Normally, Cara just does the research part not the field work when she is not at college for her teaching degree. After her mother skipped bail and used the house as collateral, Cara decides to help by going out in the field. She decides to do this in secret. Her first skip is an accused killer, Henry Kavenski. She tracked down his motel room and she breaks in to plant a ...more

So I've not read the first book in this series and it's the first chance I had to read Katie Ruggle. I definitely enjoyed all the action and the whole bounty hunter thing. No problem reading this as a standalone because you get all the background info. Cara was an interesting mix of logic, bravery aqnd loyalty. She was tryino help her sisters with the bounty hunting except the skip she is chasing seems to not be crimal or fit the bill at all.

Turns out she gets embroiled in a whole case of set

I really enjoyed this book. I like the Pax sisters from the first book and this one focuses on Cara. She isn't like her rough and tumble sister from the first book but more of a researcher. The sisters' interactions were still great but seemed lesser in this book than the previous book. I love how they all stick up for one another and have each other's backs. That is how family should be.

Henry was a quirky character and I enjoyed getting to know him. The author did a good job with how the

Risk It All is a phenomenal romantic suspense by Katie Ruggle. Ms. Ruggle has provided readers with a well-written book. I love the characters in this book! Cara and her sisters are bounty hunters. Cara usually works on research but feels the need to bring in some skips on her own to help her sisters. Henry Kavenski is a murder suspect and has skipped but Cara is on his trail. Cara and Henry's story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed every word of this book and ...more

I am a massive fan of Katie Ruggle, and I absolutely loved the first bounty hunter book and I couldn’t wait till the next one...and boy was it worth it. I loved Cara...her thought process and inner thought had me in stitches at times...and the fact she had no filter when talking to Henry made me love her even more. Henry was an interesting character,,,here we have a man accused of murder but after he lets cara leave and saves a dog, you start to think there is more than meets the eye. When Cara ...more

Risk It All is the second full length story in Katie Ruggle’s Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters and what a wonderful, fast moving and exciting story it is!

Cara is the sister we have all loved from the very beginning, so knowing her big heart, it’s no surprise she falls for accused murderer and bail jumper Henry Kavenski. He’s scrumptious, imposing and oh so moody, but Cara is still enamoured by this enigma of a man. When combustible attraction is front and centre; why fight it?

First she enters a potential murderer's room, now she's concerned for his health?

At least she has some instincts.

Oh yeah, he's real murder-y.

She's got creepy Stuart at school and random cars trying to kill her. Great.

How does he know Stuart's last name?

Norah sounds resigned.

What is her kidnapper waiting for?

Honey, do you have any defensive driving skills? No.

She's a good sister.

These are really great action sequences.

Clever!

I don't get people who don't wear watches.

This is the second in the series, but overall I was not lost in the plot. This one has Cara trying to help her sisters with the actual collection of the people who have skipped bail. Did I mention her 5 sisters work as bounty hunters? Cara usually does research, and is in college to become a kindergarten teacher. A lot of funny quips and adventures, especially with the hunky Henry, who she thinks is a murderer, but also kinda cute. Only thing that got a little tiresome was the length of them ...more

This is the second book in Katie Ruggle's Rocky Mountain Bounty Hunters series. We get to know Cara more and follow her as she attempts fieldwork in her family's bounty hunting business. Cara keeps referring to herself as a wannabe kindergarten teacher, but she is in school for it and works in her family's business as well. I think she sells herself short a lot. She tries to venture into fieldwork and ends up taking on more than she can handle. However, throughout her life-threatening ...more

Katie shows is that women can make the best bounty hunter and the second book in the series, we get Cara’s story. Cara just wants to graduate and start her passion of teaching but things don’t happen as they plan and when she decides to take on a case along, she soon discovers she may just in a little over her head. I love Cara’s character, strong and yet not afraid to take help when it’s offered. Cara early on decides that may not be who he thinks he is. Katie has written their story with lots ...more

Having read all of Katie Ruggle's books, I believe this is my favorite. I really love Cara and Henry, separately and as a couple. They are just so good together. The Pax sisters are definitely an interesting family and I am thoroughly enjoying reading about them. I never thought I would like quiet, studious Cara's book. But, it was just so good.

There are of course the crazy antics involving criminals and chaos and Cara is in way over her head. But, her instincts are good and she can kick butt

Katie Ruggle has done it again; I loved, loved, loved this book. I cannot get enough of this series and author.

Cara is part of a bounty hunting family and is sweet, adorable, and quirky, with a great attitude no matter what. Henry has skipped on his bail (he' was arrested for murder) & Cara's out to get him. Now the fun begins.

This is a fun, sexy read and I adored both of them. I would recommend reading the 1st book in the series before reading this book, but the author does give enough

I will admit I am a huge fan of Katie Ruggle and the characters she brings alive on paper. Cara comes off as little juvenile at first but as the story evolves so does Cara. The characters finds her voice and becomes strong and willing to take care things. AS always her male leads are too good to be true but are strong willing to right the wrong.

Katie Ruggle is able to bring to life a city, people, and a community as well villains who will have readers unable to put the book or series down.

Their mom caused a whole mess of trouble the sisters are to get out of so Cara does something totally unlike herself and goes after kevin. If Cara can catch a break and apprehend a major felon it would help her families bounty hunter business. She has two major problems, one she would rather be finishing her degree for teaching and two Henry Kavenski doesn’t seem to be all that bad of a guy.

Henry just wants to be left alone but instead he keeps “bumping” into Cara. He wants to warn her away from her next bounty job before she gets hurt or something worse happens.

(4.5) Great Read!!! Cara is berating herself as she picks a lock to break into a hotel room. That is where we start and then we are off! Cara made me laugh, feel and care. Henry stands for hunk. Suspense, mystery, action abound in Risk it All. I was enthralled with Henry and would have loved to hear his feelings as Cara quips along. Their escapades as they run from danger make you catch your breath and the bedroom was steamy and swoon worthy. Thank you Katie Ruggle, Sourcebooks Casablanca and ...more

Katie Ruggle is a MUST READ author for me. I LOVED this story. And yes, it absolutely deserves the capital letters. The plot was smart and not easy to figure out, offering plenty of unexpected twists. The heat between Cara and Kavenski was believable, palpable, and at times breathtaking. It was such a page turner that I read it in one sitting, even ignoring my growling stomach until I turned the last page. Cara and Kavenski were well written and funny at times. Cara Ellen Pax, or just Cara as is her preference, is more at ease doing research than fieldwork.

Finding out just how much her sisters need her to pitch in outside that comfort zone results in Cara biting off more than she was prepared to handle.

The chain of events that follow make up an action packed story that is a great follow-up to the first book.

A fan of the old adage “write what you know”, Katie Ruggle lived in an off-grid, solar- and wind-powered house in the Rocky Mountains until her family lured her back to Minnesota. When she’s not writing, Katie rides horses, trains her three dogs, cross-country skis (badly) and travels to warm places where she can scuba dive. A graduate of the Police Academy, Katie received her ice-rescue ...more
