Honestly, not as bad as I thought it would be. I thought the plot was really interesting and would make a great HR is rewritten in a more contemporary style. That being said, it was still a slog to get through. The writing was very boring and often redundant. There wasn't any chemistry between the two MCs. Like, I don't think they liked each other at all! And the rest of the characters didn't have much depth. The author also switched between POVs wayyy too much, sometimes in the same scene, and that threw me off.
I was looking for a light-hearted, quick read. I picked the wrong book. The characters in this book seriously irritated me. The lack of trust and honesty was a bit ridiculous. How could you possibly love someone that pretty much constantly calls you a liar? Completely unbelievable love story.
