For as long as I can remember I have been reading a book. My love for books started at a very young age, and never went away.
I am a wife, and a mom, and together my husband and I are a blended family of 5 kids!
I have always dreamed of being an author, and with the support of several friends and family members, I decided to write a book. A year later, Domestic Disturbance is set to release soon!!

***I was offered an early copy for an honest review ***

I was offered the opportunity to read, Domestic Disturbance, by Chelsi Davis. This manuscript is fresh off the keyboard and hasn’t even seen the eyes of an editor yet.
Holy shit! WHEN it is published I highly recommend you grab a copy of this 5-STAR read.
The story shapes up effortlessly as the author toggles between past and present to build well-developed and highly believable characters. She maintains an entertaining storyline that encompasses elements of a contemporary thriller/suspense with undertones of romance.
Lexi is a beautiful young mother of two young boys. She’s shy, reserved and holding a terrible secret…she’s being continuously victimized by someone who is supposed to love her until death do they part. Chelsi’s evocative writing style will draw the reader in, leaving them ready to draw blood while aching for Lexi and her struggles.
Maddox is a delusional douchebag—incapable of holding himself accountable for his own actions. The author’s first person POV gives an interesting inside view of this controlling character’s thought processes and what makes him tick.
In comes our hero, Wes. Wes is instantly attracted to Lexi and when his officer instincts tell him her reclusive nature is more than an introverted personality…he does what a good cop does, investigates.
The story escalates with fine-tuned details as the plot develops beautifully, Lexi finds her safe place and snakes are revealed. This manuscript has the DNA of a bestseller and the author writes as though this is her third or fourth effort…not her debut. Hopefully this incredible book will be tearing up the charts sooner rather than later.
***Expect a full review complete with spoilers as soon as this beautiful story is out there***

***I received this ARC for a fair and honest review****

Kudos to Chelsi for an entirely realistic contemporary story of domestic abuse. I fell in love with Wesley Cooper, the main character Lexi's partner, who works as a police officer and who knows just when to step in when things heat up with her abusive ex Maddox. Chelsi did an amazing job incorporating many of the things victims go through after (and during) abusive relationships. Many parts stood out - specifically when Lexi spoke about Maddox viewing her as property like a prize-winning animal he'd bought at auction. My favorite thing about this book was the way Chelsi Davis altered points of view between villain Maddox, hero Wesley and the main character Lexi. I can't write much more without spoilers but loved one specific twist regarding Maddox that I never saw coming. This book is a dark but romantic read that I'd recommend to anyone into contemporary crime/fiction/romance/reality. Awesome job Chelsi!

This book was amazing! I won't go into depth about the happenings between the covers though, I want to leave that excitement for you to experience while reading 😊. I will say that these characters seemed like people I could meet in my life. They were normal people, like you and I. Their characters were so well developed & I thoroughly enjoyed reading about them. The words were so well written I could see the scene in my head as if I was watching a movie! That's definitely one thing I look for in a great book. If you love dramas, this book is for you. If you love suspense, this book is for you. If you love romance, this book is for you. If you love books, this book is for you. If you love amazing books, then this book is DEFINITELY for you. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!!

Domestic Disturbance by Chelsi Davis was a book that was easy to read with a good story and characters you root for.

Alexis, a women who has lived her life in fear of being hurt by the one she loves has finally found someone she can truly count on. It took a long time for Lexi to move past all the hurt and let her and her boys trust again.

Wesley, a police officer that has been married before was not looking for anything when he laid eyes on Alexis. After that he was invested and he would do anything to protect the one he loves.

When the past comes back to haunt them, it takes everything they have to overcome to keep the one thing they value most... each other.

I will definitely read another book by this author anytime.

There aren't enough words to explain this book. It was great, suspenseful, heartbreaking. Domestic violence is one of those things that aren't talked about as often as it should be and this tackles a tricky topic, and also giving the readers insight into a demented mind. It's a must read for sure! !

This was the second time I have read this book. It was fantastic the first time around and even better this time if that is possible. Chelsi Davis is a new author that will become a Bestselling Author in no time. Davis takes you into the life of an abused woman with two small boys. Make sure you have a box of kleenex nearby. Chelsi writes the story with each character getting a chapter and even the flashbacks flowed nicely.
Alexis and Maddox were only married a short time before he shows his true colors. Davis makes you wonder what kind of monster lives in the house with Lexi and her boys. You get an inside view of why women don't call the police until it's almost too late. Lexi went to work at the police station and that is where she met Wes an officer that would become her night in shining armor. This book is well worth reading or giving to a friend you might think needs it.

I was lucky enough to read this book in its very early stages! You would never know it's written by a DEBUT author! The writing flows and the character development is impressive. I loved the multiple viewpoints on this thriller, and I had no clue who the bad guy was right up until the very end!
This story has it all - a lot of thrill, a little romance, and a spine-tingling mystery at the heart of it. I found the main character, a mother of young boys, to be quite relatable. I was afraid for her and on the edge of my seat all the way through.
If you love a good, chilling story with a twisted ending, you will fall in love with Domestic Disturbance!

I have enjoyed all of the co-writes and anthologies that included Chelsi Davis' work, so I was eager to read Domestic Disturbance and see where it all started with her writing career. I had heard good things about the book and the paperback sure was pretty to hold.
From the very beginning of this book there was a feeling of suspense and terror taking hold. I was sucked right into the story and had an intense need to know what would happen next.
Once I hit Chapter 22, there was no putting this book down. I was on the edge of my seat racing towards the conclusion of this chilling and terrifying story.
The ending was great and closed out everything perfectly. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more from Davis in the future.

Domestic Disturbance is a fast paced quick read. I liked that about it, that it didn't take long to get the story going.

Lexi has a psychotic, abusive ex husband, fresh out of prison. He's on the hunt and she's his prey. He'll literally stop at nothing to get her back, even involving his own children and the help of some unexpected.

Maddox was my favorite character, but I always love the villains!

Fast paced, action packed HEA. Good story if you're looking for realistic, every day life and what it's like to be put through something so awful by the hand of someone who was supposed to love you.

This book was easy to fall in love with. Chelsi Davis takes you into a world of chaos, fear, suspense.. And love. Lexi is faced with a life obstacle most women can't even dream of... Its what some may even say their nightmares are made of. A life of abuse, fear for herself and her children, and a seriously crazy ex husband who will stop at nothing to regain his control over them. Can she be free of this terror once and for all? You will have to find out for yourself! I promise you will not be disappointed with this amazing author.

This book is chillingly realistic. The author has nailed the emotions that someone who is involved in a violent relationship feels. This book was hard for me to read because I went through what Lexi did. It was so realistic amd she made me feel like I was in the book with Lexi. What an AWESOME debut book!

Hard to put this book down. It does tell a tale of domestic violence so here is your warning if that would bother you. The book keeps you on your toes of what is going to happen next. The mother in the story is like all mothers, wants to keep her kids safe. Great job of writing about a difficult subject Chelsi, I am on the lookout for more of you creations.

This is a difficult story to read because it is about domestic abuse. The story is heart wrenching. The author develops the characters well and the story is believable. What does this say about our culture where this can happen? The book is disturbing.
