Every rock band needs their bad boy, right? That's me. Hookers, drugs, DUIs— been there, done that. I'm in a Downward Spiral and proud of it (see what I did there?). When the band manager, Archer, hires Bennett to keep me from screwing up while the band is on hiatus, I may have finally met someone who won't take my attitude lying down. With the three of us cooped up to

Another fabulous entry in the Replay series from K.M. Neuhold. It takes skill to write any believable relationship but, for me anyway, there's an even greater risk in writing about multiples and making it feel like you're watching a real-life throuple or more.

In Beat of Their Own Drum K.M. nails it perfectly. I felt all the love and pent-up frustration that both Archer and Bennett had been dealing with since their split 16 years earlier, and how they were desperately trying to find their way bac

A Joyfully Jay review.

Beat of Their Own Drum is the third book in K.M. Neuhold’s Replay series. The stories follow the members of Downward Spiral who, at ten years into their star-making career, are pretty much falling apart personally (or at least that’s the case for the characters the series has focused on so far). What is really interesting about this series is that the stories are happening concurrently. The band is a mess and Archie has set up time for the guys to take a break fro

Audiobook review

I’m a fan of the Replay series and I’ve been wanting to read this story since I listened to the first book. I love a well written polyamorous book, the navigation of a poly-relationship fascinates me. But I’m also picky about the kind of poly relationship I enjoy reading about. I need the participants to be equals in that relationship, equally important, equally loved, all being seen, no one left out. So I just had to know how Jude, Archer and Bennett would make it all work.

KM Neuhold has a thing for writing fantastic MMM, and this is one of her best yet. Jude, Archer, and Bennett are all so different and have their own issues, but they slot into each other's lives much better than I imagined they could. And I loved it. The dynamic between Archer and Bennett had me hurting for them.. how terrible to be so in love but so seemingly incompatible in one critical area. But Jude? Jude is the perfect bridge for them to find their way back to each other for keeps.. and to ...more

Great story simmering into a dull ending

This story ticked all my boxes, even if I don't understand a threesome. And at one point, at 75%, I was confused about the large number of kinks Jude engages in, within a week of meeting Bennet. There was no mention of love, trust, admiration, longing, consequences or future. Just 'let's be a threesome'.

What annoys me in this great narration is the moment where two words are corrected with a second recording, and you can totally tell. The few places where

One Sentence Summary: Jude is the wild child of Downward Spiral and band manager Archer will do anything to get him help, even hire his ex-fiancé, Bennett, to act as a celebrity handler.

I really didn't know what to expect with Beat of Their Own Drum but I should know by now that even if I'm unsure of the plot, I always love the characters that K.M. Neuhold create. In this case I loved Jude, Archer, and Bennett and I liked the plot so I didn't ne

I'm always really excited when a new KM Neuhold book comes out and even more so when it's MMM, and I loved this latest story in the Replay series. Jude is on a path to total destruction when Archer decides that the band needs a complete break. Bennett is Archers ex and agrees to come on board to get Jude back on the straight and narrow. Trouble is that Bennett and Archer have never gotten over each other and Archer also has feelings for Jude.
The three of them end up holed up together as they try

Beat of Their Own Drum (Replay 3 / KU) by Kyleen Neuhold is live and she NAILED IT! A 5 star read! I have been anxiously waiting for Jude's story and she did NOT disappoint. This MMM book is a fantastic read. It's an incredible thoughtful story and it was SO HOT, yet sweet and tender too. I absolutely LOVED Jude, Archer and Bennett!!! Excellent storyline and excellent writing. There is some light BDSM with a sprinkle of daddy kink. As someone who doesn't really care for daddy kink, Kyleen nailed ...more

I'm not a big fan of triangles because I don't believe you could love two persons equally. But this story was believable and left me feeling giddy and happy that such love does exist.

Archer and Bennett have a past that never had a closure. I loved how Archer put his feelings aside in order to help Jude. The dynamics of their relationship was amazing in how they complement each other. I just loved how they managed to work everything out in order for their relationship to survive.

Kyleen writes amazing MMM but this one was truly fantastic. I loved the previous relationship between Bennett and Archer & the love that didn't die. Jude's story about being rejected by Archer & then losing his virginity to a prostitute because of it, made me gasp & hurt for him. I love Daddy kink that doesn't involve age play and Archer is just the sweetest Daddy. He balances Bennett's dominant side so perfectly. No words can really describe just how much I enjoyed this book. It instantly becam ...more

I have no way to express how fantastic this story is! It's a second chance romance in more ways than one. A second chance at love and second chance at life! It's a heat filled, emotional ride that you don't want to get off of! This is a must read and one of my favorite MMM books of the year!

I have be awaiting this book. I have loved the first two books in this series and this one is a triad!

Jude is the very talented drummer for the super star rock band Downward Spiral. But, unfortunately, the band’s name seems to be their destiny if Archer, their manager, can’t get these men to quit self-destructing. Jude has made a name for himself as the band’s bad boy. He has a well publicized taste for hookers and coke. Little does the world, or even his band mates and ma

This book was a mess and there were so many things wrong with it!! I am not confident this author knows anything about a successful MMM relationship and what makes it work, or even WHY it works, and just decided to "give it a try" because it's in!! Let me say this: I ADORE MMM books, when done well, when executed masterfully, when there's love and passion and friendship and desire and EQUALITY!! This author made a bumbling mess of a story that COULD have been a great one!! There was NONE of that ...more

A kinky mmm romance with three wonderful and complex main characters, each one well-rounded and interesting. Together they were simply irresistible!

Bennet and Archer have a past together and still love each other despite having broken up years ago, so that could have put them on an uneven footing with Jude, but that doesn’t happen. The author makes sure that they are all equals in this relationship, every man bringing something unique to it and finding love and care with the other two in equal

Beat of Their Own Drum is the third installment of the Replay Series. First, there was Linc and Jace, then Lando and Dawson, and now we have the much-awaited story of Ben, Archer and Jude. I liked the first two books in this series and had been itching to get my hands on this story that had been hinted at in the previous two books, and boy it did NOT disappoint.

The Replay series is about Downward Spiral, an openly gay group of rock superstars. The series runs concurrently for each member during

Beat Of Their Own Drum is the 3rd book in the Replay series by KM Neuhold. As with the prior books, it is superb!

This time we get to follow along as Asher, Downward Spiral's manager finds love. As Jude is losing himself to drugs and hookers, Asher hires his ex-lover, Bennett to handle Jude. First, I have to say, that Asher and Bennett's story is fascinating. The two men always worked so well together, except for in the bedroom. They both desperately loved one another, but couldn't give the other

“Kinky Rockstar/ second chance MMM Romance”

*I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it*

This is the 3rd book in the Replay series and I was unsure if I was going to like this one because of the kinkiness but it was really well written and the kink was on the lighter side.

This book follows band member Jude through a drug and prostitute fueled meltdown where band manager, Archer, is forced to hire his ex-boyfriend and celebrity rehabilitator, Bennett, to whip Jude into shap

This is book three of the Replay series, and for maximum enjoyment I do suggest reading books one and two, with the returning characters and the way this is written, it would just flow better. With the first two books we see just how much the band relies on Archer, and just how dedicated he is to the guys. Somehow along the way the guys have lost their way, with depression, drugs, booze, prostitutes, writers block, they seemed to have hit that downward spiral (pun i

All That and More!!!!

I absolutely loved this story. It may just be my favorite in the series so far. Like it was sad to read Linc's and Landon's story, but Jude's cut so much deeper. It was easy to see why Linc spiraled or of control once his illness was revealed. It was even easy to understand why Landon's was hung up on Dawson after getting their backstory, but it wasn't the same for Jude. His downward spiral (pun intended) was due to his insecurities and self loathing and need for approval. J

This is the 3rd book in the Replay series and one I’ve really been looking forward to reading, it did not disappoint!!! I really thought Jude would be the star/ main attraction of this book and would over shadow Bennett and Archer with his troubled road to destruction. I was so happy when I fell just as in love with Bennett & Archer and their history as I did with Jude, I love the way they interacted with each. None of them is the perfect guy for one of the others on their own, they need both an ...more

Bennett, Archer, and Jude. The Dom, the Daddy, and the Brat! Bennett and Archer have a history, so there's a lovely second chance romance aspect to this book that I totally loved. Add Jude into the mix to bridge the gap between Bennett and Archer and man oh man! So good! I love the D/s and Daddy kink aspect of the story, and yes it is mild as the author stated. I would have liked to see a little more of that, but that's only because that's just my thing. I do love how the author goes back and fo ...more
Jude has been on a downward spiral for years, he is a PR nightmare just waiting to happen and sooner or later, the band is going to pay the price for his issues. When the band is forced to take a break, band manager, Archer hires Bennett to keep Jude in check. The one thing none of the three expected was sparks to fly between all three of them. Archer has managed Downward Spiral for ten years. Watching them become famous and then watching them spiral down. The guilt he feels for failing to see how bad it actually was makes him want to find a way to help Jude. The baddest of the bad boys.

He knows who can help Jude but it means he will have to find a way to deal with the man he still loves. Bennett knows that Archer’s request for help will reignite the feelings he’s carried for Archer since they broke up years ago. He can’t say no, to e
