I met Adam Nova under the twinkling lights of a nighttime sky.
He was hiding, but that gorgeous boy didn’t belong in the dark.
Nevertheless it was where he lived; a different world than mine.
I was Livingston Montgomery, Southern debutante.

5 Don't forget to look up, Stars!!
Amazing!! I loved every heart felt, gut wrenching, unique second of this book.
Good girl meets bad guy from the wrong side of the tracks or in this case bridge. Yes, we have all read the good girl, bad boy troupe but for me this was so much more. The depth Amie manages to create in all her characters and the unique plot made this book such a pleasure to read and also why I am now so shattered.

“My boy with the tattoos had given me the stars. It made me want to give him the universe.”
I am a huge fan of Amie Knight and will read anything she produces. But do you know what? This might be my favorite of hers to date. I am always a bit dubious about reading duets because I know I’m always going to be left with a colossal cliffhanger, then it will be at the forefront of my mind until I get my hands on part 2 and the anticipation of what’s to come next will be almost too much to ...more

This was so freaking fantastic and I need more!!! I need book 2 ASAP please! Amie Knight is soon becoming a favorite of mine. She’s a wonderful storyteller and this star-crossed Romeo and Juliet kinda story got me hooked from beginning to end. I don’t want to spoil it much cause I feel like it’s one of those you have to read and experience for yourself. I loved both of the main characters so much. Livingston was such a brave girl, and Adam just captured my heart completely! The character develop

‘We could have burned the world down. Maybe we did. Maybe we’d burned too bright. Too big. Until we’d just snuffed out.’
“Look at the stars, Liv. If you feel alone. Don’t forget to look up.”
This duet was and is everything we love about reading. It brought us back to how we used to feel reading YA books like this back in the day. It felt old school. Amie Knight brought us back and we loved every minute of this coming of age romance between two teenagers from opposite si ...more

Apart from the MCs being so young, I really liked this. Hero was a good son! He was a nerd.
I really hope the author doesn’t destroys his character in the upcoming book and turns him into a manwhore! 🙏🏼
“Just so we’re clear. I don’t think that I love you, Livvy. I know it. I know I love you. I knew I’d love you the first time I ever saw you beneath the stars. First love is all consuming and for Liv and Adam it’s a chance to defy everything they’ve ever known or believed about their lives. Under the Stars Liv can be free, under the stars Adam can be someone else, together they can beat the odds. With that whopper cliffhanger, IN HER SPACE can't arrive soon enough (November 15th). Amie Knight rolled out all the good stuff with precision and as things unraveled, this story became so much more than at first glance.

Beneath His Stars is the first book in Amie Knight’s The Stars duet, and my first book by the author. I went in curious, only to be blown away by the story. It was an incredibly beautifully written story, hooking me from the very first page, leaving me desperate for the second part of the duet.
From the very first page, I was sucked into Amie Knight’s beautiful words. It was clear in no time at all that Amie Knight has a way with words, a way of stringing sentences together in a beautiful way. Fr ...more

Overview:
Adam(19) & Liv (16). Book 1 of 2. Dual POV. Ends with a cliffhanger.
Adam:
Adam comes from “the wrong side of the bridge” and is covered in tattoos, which he uses as a mask or a shield. He works part time, is trying to put himself through technical school and is dirt poor. Adam has a good heart, but people see him as cold and intimidating because he is very standoffish. He has a disabled father who is good to him and a best friend (a girl named Raven) who knows him inside and out and has ...more

I really liked this book. This was the love story of two people who seemed worlds apart, even though really only a bridge separated them. Bad boy meets good girl under the stars and their hearts collide. Liv was sheltered from everything except the evil within her own home. I wanted to just hug her and say she only had to endure for a little longer. Adam was the 'bad boy' who was just trying to survive the environment around him. I felt for him so, so much and for the life he wanted, but felt he

Sorry, This book was highly rated and because of it I had high expectations, and you know what they say about high expectations..
I was just bored. It's me, I don't like YA or NA or anything that revolves around young kids romance. It just doesn't do it for me anymore, I'm too old for their bullshit.
And than, there were their monologs.
Long, long ass monologs. Deep endless thoughts about everything. At times, several pages of inner thoughts and one sentence of conversation.
Boring.

What a beautiful story❣️❣️❣️❣️
Within 240 pages the author managed with great success not to expound but focus to the point and fill me with so many wonderful emotions.
“I couldn’t get enough of her. I was obsessed. I wanted to know everything. I wanted to see the stars through her eyes.” Adam

I honestly struggled with how I wanted to start this book review. I have so many words about this book and its literal amazingness, but I wanted the words I used to convey just how utterly incredible this book was. I wanted to make sure that the first words of this review let you know how much I loved every single moment of this story. I wanted my words to do these characters and their unforgettable story the justice they so deserved.

I really enjoyed this one! A sweet yet intense YA romance between a sweet girl who is lost and lonely, and the boy from the wrong side of the tracks. The first in the Stars Duet, it’s a great beginning for what has the potential to be a truly epic romance!
16 year old Livingston ‘Liv’ Montgomery is living a difficult life. She may be beautiful, smart and wealthy, living in a mansion on the beach in an exclusive island neighbourhood, but in reality she is lonely and sad. Her parents are bo ...more

You know one of the joys of reading is when you discover new authors and instantly fall for their writing. All you want to do is read everything they've written because you can't get enough of their words. And this is exactly how I feel after reading my first novel by Amie Knight.

Beneath His Stars is a star crossed romance that gives you hope and melts your heart. Two people who stereotypically look like they shouldn't be together fight for the love of their lives.

An unexpected love
Adam Nova has been existing, a life on the wrong side of the tracks, poor is word he knows only to well. He lives in a crappie apartment with his father the one solid person in his life apart from his best friend Raven.
When he encounters Livingston Montgomery lying in a field watching the stars I doubt even he knew what she’d come to mean to him.
Livingston escapes to the other side of island to lay under the night sky and dream. It’s a place that holds memories good and bad. ...more

"I should have been thinking about how this was her first kiss, but the truth of it was, it felt like it was mine, too , so I was selfish. The first slide of her tongue against mine, the first nibble of her teeth, the first suck of her lips. It was unlike any kiss I’d ever experienced and I was transported back to the field and under the stars. Comets tore across the sky, meteors pummeled the Earth, asteroids exploded. Forget setting the world on fire. Liv and I? We were going to burn down the u

I went into this one blind, had no idea what it was even about, only seeing it had many five star reviews. What can I say, sometimes I like to live on the wild side;) This was a fantastic first book, duet! It pulled me in from the beginning, and I was hooked.
The sweetness of first love came through in spades. I totally fell for, and rooted hard for this couple. Adam came off as this hardened thug, that hid behind his tattoos and his address. In actuality, he was as sweet ...more

The blurb was the hook, well, the blurbs for both books since we were lucky enough to get them both at the same time.

A few sayings come to mind at the start of Beneath His Stars - don’t judge a book by its cover, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, opposites attract. Adam Nova and Livingston Montgomery come from different sides of the track, but they have so much in common. Amie Knight has brought us two characters to love and root for.

“Her eyes were still closed, but her lips were smiling.
“Why?” I wanted to watch her. She knew how I liked to watch.
Her grin widened at my question. “Because you can’t dream with your eyes open.”
I lifted up onto one elbow until my face was right above hers. I could practically taste her sweet breath. “I’m pretty sure I can,” I whispered. Because my dreams had never compared to a moment I’d spent with her. She was the dream. She was it for me.”
