USA Today best selling author Maureen Child is the author of more than ninety romance novels and novellas. Maureen is a five time nominee for the prestigious Rita award from Romance Writers of America.
One of her novels, A Pocketful Of Paradise, was made into a CBS-TV movie called The Soul Collector, starring Melissa Gilbert, Bruce Greenwood and Ossie Davis.
Over the years, she’s written under lots of different names and she prefers the term ‘pseudonym’ to ‘alias’. As Ann Carberry, she wrote western historical romances. As Kathleen Kane, she wrote not only Americana romances, but western paranormal romances as well. As Sarah Hart, she wrote one really spectacular western paranormal that is still one of her favorites. And once, Ann Carberry even wrote a Victorian historical which she absolutely loved doing.

Under her own name, Maureen writes short contemporary novels for Silhouette Desire—books she loves to write because of their fast pace and condensed story telling. Maureen is also writing funny, contemporary paranormal romances for NAL and darker paranormal stories for Silhouette Nocturne.

Maureen writes paranormal romance novels under the pesudonym of Regan Hastings

Liam doesn't like princesses..that is what he perceives Chloe to be as she is a rich girl..He is tainted because of his ex.. She did a number on him so every woman who has money he hates..Well Chloe is going to show him that she can do what he can do and more..She is pitching a camp for girls on the ranch where he works..A storm blows in and they come together as hot as all get out..cant' get enough of each other..they make a deal that she will work at the ranch for a few weeks to prove to him she is up for this kind of life..Oh and she does prove it but one day her sister comes and he freezes Chloe out..Breaks her heart..He is such a hard head..Can Liam see that Chloe is nothing like his ex?

I also like that there is this underlying badness going on as you read the book. Someone that sneaks in and is trying to cause havoc in Houston...And trying to take down Sterling...

Another great TCC book

The plot thickens. Who is the mystery person that accidentally killed-someone. Another person destroyed by a break up and afraid of love. Now Liam feels all rich people are the same and would not be soul mate material.
Chloe being born into money and Liam are like electricity when they ate together. He sees that her dream is to be a cowgirl. She hates the life of a millionaire princess.
It takes losing Chloe and the words of wisdom of Mr Perry to wake Liam up.
Again i. This series, love is worked up to marriage but each couples story abruptly ends. I hope the other books tie all these couples and their marriages together.
Each story needs closure.
The mystery man and plot thickens.

Liam and Chloe. Forced proximity. Liam is a grumpy cowboy. Chloe wants to start a girls camp and Liam is the key to it. A sudden rainstorm turns into a flood and they are forced to spend the night together. The I love you's and marriage proposal came on quick. I didn't feel like we had worked up to that.

The whole conflict in this novel is whether or not he can believe that the heroine is 'Not Like Other Women'. I'm really tired of 'pitting women against each other for conflict'. Really, really tired. I did not enjoy this book.

Quick good read. I really enjoyed the characters and the story. I love how other characters for future books in the series are introduced into the story as well.
