A cute Little Golden Book that introduces the original '80s 'She-Ra'.

'I Am She-Ra!' is basically an abridged, story-told-to-little-kids version of 'The Secret of the Sword', and told entirely from Adora's point of view. The beautiful, colourful illustrations (plus the characters) will leave you feeling nostalgic.

I can love both the old and the new! She-Ra is She-Ra, forever powerful. Forever an icon.

We read this with our 5 year old and now she is watching the netflix show. She thought it was pretty exciting and fun. I enjoyed seeing a throwback to something I remembered and loved growing up.

Unlike "I Am He-Man!", this book had a story to tell. (He-Man basically copy/pasted the series theme dialogue and then briefly introduced the main characters.) It follows the pilot of the original cartoon series to tell how Adora became She-Ra. The artwork is gorgeous and it was nostalgic to revisit some of my favorite cartoon characters from the 1980s.

It didn’t capture my heart like other Little Golden Books, but boy did it hit me in those nostalgia feels. I love the brother-sister bonding theme, and the vivid use of colors was the best! A really fun trip down memory lane, and I think adventurous, hero-loving kids will enjoy it as well.

Beautiful artwork and so much fun to see all the old characters, even the minor ones being used in the art! Loved it.

Foe the HONOR of GREY SKULL! I am so glad this little golden book stayed TRUE to the real She-ra as opposed to the new one!

The things I would have done for this book as a child! Whew! Loved it... succinct origin story and illustrations/characters from the 80's series. Recommended!
