Helen Hardt knocked it out of the park with this one! We finally get Marjorie Steels story.
This book was AMAZING. I read this in one sitting and could not put it down.
Bryce and Marjorie are both broken and trying to move on from the dark past that still haunts them both. Bryce knows he needs to stay away from Marj, but can he? Something about her calls to him on a deeper lever. Marj is also way in over her head with Bryce. These two have an undeniable smoking hot chemistry.. I am still trying to recover.
It was also nice to get a glimpse into the current lives of Jonah, Talon and Ryan. They are still a force to be reckoned with. Just when you thought everything was solved and good to go.... there is more. Be ready to be on the edge of your seat as Helen takes you on another amazing ride. The past is not yet behind any of them... Are you ready for more?

Okay.. WOW, Where to begin?
Mind. Freaking. Blown!
This book was incredible.
Helen is known for her heartbreaking, angst-filled, tortured damaged hero romances. It’s what I love most about her. She can write an epic tortuous story for a character that sucks you in so intensely that you lose yourself in it.
I’m in complete awe of this author. She has gone and delivered an epic, all-consuming, addicting, insanely intense story that’s had me holding my breath, my heart pounding and my mind reeling, from chapter 1 to the end of the book, I was consumed beyond belief. The deeper I got into this plot, the more I lost myself and everything around me. This author has the ability to do that to a reader. She grabs hold of your heart and she doesn’t let it go. She’ll write a story that’ll shattered your heart into pieces over and over again, and slowly... so slowly.. she will piece it back together.. just like she did with book 1-9 of this series, Marj’s story is going to be no different!

I feel like I have waited forever for this book and now that I have finally read it, the wait has been so so so worth it. Diving into this book I did not know what to expect. Ms. Hardt left us on an incredible ending with book nine, but I always felt as though something was missing... And that something was Marjorie’s story... In book 1-9 we got to read about the lives of her older brothers Jonah, Talon and Ryan, and the gut-wrenching, heartbreaking things each and every one of those men went through in their past and their present. But as I said, I felt something was missing... And finally, I feel as though this story and series is coming to a whole. Breathless is the first book to Marj's story, so right now I know this is just the beginning, but boy did the author throw us right back into it all. It knocked me square on my ass and had my jaw on the floor 90% of the book.
Breathless is the start of Marj and Bryce's story, and let me tell you. It was an epic beginning. Marj and Bryce have known each other all their lives, they grew up together. Bryce was her older brothers best friend and he literally watches her grow up, from a small child into an amazing, stunning and smart woman that she is today. Marj grew up crushing on Bryce over the years and it only intensified as she got older.
Both Marj and Bryce have demons from their past and both are struggling but trying to move on from everything that still haunts them. Bryce knows he needs to step back and away from Marj, that he is in forbidden waters when it comes to her, but something draws him to her, and he can't seem to shake that. Marj is smitten with Bryce but it's the same situation for her too. Will these two be able to keep their distance or is the attraction just too much? and will they cave into their desire for each other?
The chemistry between the two of them is intense, to say the least, and it was insanely hot! I couldn't get enough.
As much as I want continue on and tell you every single amazing detail of this book... I'm not going to. You need to go into this blind, you need to experience it all for yourself to see just how amazing it is. I loved that the author included Jonah, Talon, and Ryan and glimpses into their lives now, and we got to see how much they all have grown after uncovering all the nasty truths, and going through some pretty insane things. It warmed my heart. But just when we think they can finally live the life they deserve, we are thrown curve balls and plot twists, and once again are on the edge of our seats, wanting and needing answers to all these new questions.
Bravo, Ms. Hardt. Although I had no doubt in my mind that this book would be beyond amazing, you’ve exceeded all expectations and given your fans an epic start to Marj’s story!!

Hmmm..... Breathless is.... not so breathless. It is very mild plot. The 3 books covering the story between Bryce and Marjorie. I guess O have high expectation for Miss Hardt. And it felt short.
I do not like Bryce in this book. He spend most of the time feeling sorry for himself. I want to slap him. And Marjorie is indifference. She only wants what she wants. Her effort to look caring does not help her image.
I guess I have to read the next book to understand more of the plot.

I was thrilled to hear about this book, as I believed the series was finished. I'm so glad there are some more on the way too.
It was lovely to have Marjories story. Incredibly hot and steamy with a gripping storyline also as usual.
I can't wait for the next book.
I would have liked a better conclusion to this one though and feel like there are a ton more questions brought up rather than answers.

Awesome storyline...... I could not put this series down. Read the entire series in 7 days or less. Loved all the characters and the storyline was incredible. Can't wait until the next book

Marj and Bryce have known each other all their lives. Bryce, being Joe's best friend, has watched Marj grow from small child into the stunning beauty she is today. Marj, has had a hard crush on Bryce for years, or was it more?
There is so much I could say about this book, but I choose to keep my mouth shut, or rather my fingers from typing, in fear of saying too much vital information. But, know this...You're going to L.O.V.E. it!
Helen and her ever present cliffhangers, but, that's why I love her, she keeps me coming back for more.

Marjorie Steel and Bryce Simpson want the same thing, a peaceful life after the most horrid year they have ever known. But peace is elusive when Jade is having a trying pregnancy so Marjorie puts her classes on hold. Peace is elusive when Bryce is dealing with the knowledge that the caring father he knew was really a monster in disguise.
Together they might be able to chase the ghosts away and find some peace but when one is willing and the other fights against it with guilt, shame and so-called loyalty to his best friend, that may never be.
We have waited for a while for Marjorie's story to be told and I am so pleased it is finally happening. I really liked the new take on this family's story. There are times I want to shake Bryce and tell him to let it go but when he and Marjorie come together it is great!
A stalker with evil on their mind is watching and waiting. New mysteries and new players are going to make these new books interesting and intriguing. I loved every book in this series so far and feel Marjorie's books will be the icing on the cake.
Together they might be able to chase the ghosts away and find some peace but when one is willing and the other fights against it with guilt, shame and so-called loyalty to his best friend, that may never be.
We have waited for a while for Marjorie's story to be told and I am so pleased it is finally happening. I really liked the new take on this family's story. There are times I want to shake Bryce and tell him to let it go but when he and Marjorie come together it is great!
A stalker with evil on their mind is watching and waiting. New mysteries and new players are going to make these new books interesting and intriguing. I loved every book in this series so far and feel Marjorie's books will be the icing on the cake.

I, too, anxiously awaited Marjorie Steel’s story while reading the previous books. This one picks up from Marjorie’s POV and gives on overview of what tragedies have befallen on each of her brothers, their wives, and her love interest Bryce. While I enjoyed the point of view and character development I felt like there was too much hand holding and receptiveness from previous books. I wanted the dirty details of Marj and Bryce’s affair along with the continued drama that clouds the Steel Family and the ugly secrets about to be revealed.
I get that some readers need the recap because they haven’t read the previous books, but honestly I felt it detracted from the plot and left me feeling meh. This pains me to leave a 2 star review when it could have been such a great read.

OH MY GAWD! I have been waiting. I’m one of the ones that has been begging. Now we finally have Marjorie’s story and it is HAWT!
If it’s been awhile since you’ve read the Steel saga, or maybe never read it, don’t worry. Helen Hardt does such an amazing job at writing that Breathless will refresh your memory or catch you up to speed (I do recommend reading this whole series). If you thought Talon, Jonah, and Ryan were hot wait till you hear baby sister Marjorie’s story. If you thought all the past was resolved it’s back and uglier than before. And if you thought you could get Marjorie in one book think again. A cliffhanger that will leave you heartbroken.

Breathless by Helen Hardt is book 10 in the Steel Brothers Series. This is the story of Bryce Simpson and Marjorie Steel. I feel you will enjoy the books more if you read the series in order but Ms. Hardt does write so well that you could make this a standalone book. Marjorie has always had a crush on Bryce but that is all that it has been. Bryce is dealing with finding out about his father and his father dark second life, in addition he has his family that he needs to take care of. Now that Marjorie is helping her best friend deal with a tough pregnancy along with helping with the family. This has brought Marjorie in close counters with Bryce. Both Bryce and Marjorie have issue they need to work through along with some back story going on, which leads us to the next installment in their story.
I really love this series and this author's writing....can't wait for more!

Marjorie is still reeling from all the revelations in her life, watching her dad die, seeing her mom is alive, and most of all finding that Talon was kindnapped because she was born. Brice is dealing with his own combination of guilt from the knowledge he has learned about his father. Drawn to each other, neither is truly ready, but yet they still can’t resist each other. Surprisingly mysterious things still seem to happen to them.

I love that we now get Marjorie's story and it is an amazing one at that.
Marjorie and Bryce have a up and down relationship if you can call it that. They are both looking for something to fix them back together. But the past is about to come back with a vengeance.
If you thought her brothers were tough then watch out for Marjorie.
It was also nice that we got to hear how the guys are doing with their lives and families.

This book continues the saga of the Steel family...centering on Marjorie, but intertwining the rest of the family's story into it... happiness, intrigue, sadness ... once again, all there... making us want more.. leaving us 'Breathless'.

This book stuck true to its title and left me absolutely breathless! Helen has such a way with words, there's so much thought that goes into her stories and so many details that she hooks you from beginning to end. With every twist and turn you will find yourself in the moments with her characters.
In Breathless we finally go from books about the Steel brothers to the Steel Sister. I have impatiently waited for a Marjorie Steel story and I am so happy it is finally here! Marjorie is helping Talon and Jade during this book as Jade goes through a rough pregnancy. Things are of course thrown into the mix during this book which puts Marjorie and Bryce together in the mix of things.
While they both want each other, Bryce is having an extremely hard time chasing his demons away. He is constantly fighting guilt from all the terribly horrid things his father has done. Marjorie keeps hitting road blocks trying to get through to him, yet neither of them can stay away from one another.
Bryce has so many worries and one of the top ones is betraying his best friend Jonah and the other Steel brothers by being with their sister. Marjorie, Bryce, and the entire Steel family are also worried because there is someone out there who is watching, and waiting to make a move and hurt this family again. I truly cannot wait to see what the next book brings us because as usual Helen is the queen of the cliffhanger and it will be worth every second I have to wait to see what's next!

In the previous books in this series we learned about the Steel Brothers. Now we get to know Marjorie the sister. You definitely should read previous books before this one. This family has been through alot. Bryce has been Joe bestfriend since Marj was little. She is attracted to Bryce but he keeps telling her that they can't be together.
In this book we learn that Ted Colins dad is up to something. What we don't know? But Bryce and Joe is worried that it might be because of a secret they been holding.
Ofcourse in true Helen Hardt fashion the books ends with a bit of a cliffhanger. Someone is after the Steel family and Bryce we know this just don't know who.

This series just keeps getting better. Bryce and Marjorie finally get a book, however they both are broken beings. It's sad that Bryce is still feeling the way he is because of everything his father did to others. How can a child grow up loving a parent that they worshiped so much as a kid and then to learn the truth later that the parent was after all a psychopath? I truly feel bad for Bryce. On the other hand Marj too is going through her own issues, but also having love for her brother's best friend whom she has known all her life. Helen Hardt did it again in this book. It felt as though I was in this story with the characters. Now I have to wait for the next book in October.

I love when an author listens to the pleas of her readers! Helen Hardt did not disappoint her fans who begged for Marjorie Steele's story after the Steele brothers saga was over. ..and what a story it is turning out to be.
The suspense along with the twist and turns we have come to crave from the story are alive and well in this new addition...just when you thought there could be no more. Hardt is very adept at weaving such a story that you literally might be on the edge of your seat. All without making the story feel forced.
Let's also not forget the amazing chemistry that started for Bryce and Marjorie in the last book ... it reaches a fever pitch that is unmatched. However two very broken souls have a lot of healing to do before they can even be what they need to be for each other. Watching the pull of the these was intense. I am so looking forward to the next chapter in the Saga.

All my hopes for continuing the Steel Brothers series have come true. Helen Hardt continues the story of the Steel family with Marjorie Steel, Talon Jonah and Ryan's baby sister. Marjorie and Bryce are the main focus of this story. Bryce is the son of the monster we know as Tom Simpson. Marjorie and Bryce have an ongoing simmering sexual desire for each other. Bryce is fighting his inner demons tooth and nail but with not much success. He is still trying to deal with all the heartache and fallout his father caused the Steel family and numerous other innocents. His father is continually in Bryce's head worried that he will turn out like his father. As always Helen Hardt has us chewing our nails with suspense, but I love sitting on pins and needles to see what she has in store for her readers next.

The title of the book speaks for itself, Helen Hardt will leave you Breathless with this read. Continuing with a 10 book and the start of Marjorie Steels story for more of the Steel Saga. This book continues with the aftermath of everything that happen from book 9 Unraveled the good, the bad, and all the secrets that were revealed. Dealing with all they've been through has been a struggle for everyone especially Marjorie and Brice. Marjorie has loved Bryce for so long and it doesn't help that she's the baby sister to Bryce's best friend. As much as Bryce fights it he can't resist Marjorie no matter how much he thinks it's a bad idea or if his worthy of her. No matter how many times I read this story and saga Helen has a way of opening your heart's to this family. You want to fight for them, comforted them for all they suffer, cry for all the pain they've been through, and love them with all your heart.

I’m jumping in this saga at book 10. It looks like I read book 1 in March 2019. I skipped a few books in between, but it seems like I didn’t miss out on too much. Helen Hardt repeated the characters past issues in this book allowing the reader to become up to date on all the drama.
The saga began with Talon and Jade. Eight books have since been released of which I haven’t read. Book 10 was a compilation of Talon and Jade’s story mixed in with Bryce and Marjorie’s story. They were as much a main character as Marjorie and Bryce almost to the point of overcrowding. The Steel family consists of three brothers and one little sister. Looking back on the prior books this saga is a compilation of these brothers and the one sister living on the ranch. I didn’t feel hindered by not reading the other books.
I didn’t feel like these characters progressed with rehashing over the same issues. I found it to be quite redundant.
It’s a wordy story. Even the sex scenes were wordy. Had I been reading this without the audiobook I would’ve skimmed these scenes. I didn’t find it necessary to dedicate two chapters for one sex scene.
Not every book written is for every reader and I found that to be true with the Steel series. Those of you who like this series can find more of Marj and Bryce in Ravenous.

So much self doubt...
Omg Marjorie and Bryce, wear me out. I'm so exhausted with all of their self doubts and insecurities. I cannot imagine what their going through with all the crap their very sick physcopathic fathers put them and their family through. But Bryce is taking it to a entire new level. He was not harm by his father or the other men in any way. But yet and still he has all this self hate. Talon went through hell when he was kidnapped as a 10yr old. But he's moving on with his life. Bryce act like he was the one that was tortured. And don't get me started on Marjorie! She claims that she's strong and tough. And the moment something doesn't go her way. What does she do?! She takes a blade to her upper thigh. I read this same exact same thing in another book I won't name. She pisses me off. So what he left after sex. You knew going in it wouldn't go anywhere with him. Because he told you so in the beginning. To me she's just a spoil brat who acts out when she doesn't get her way. I love this entire series until this particular episode. Both of them needs to go into therapy and get some serious help.
