An AWFUL OGRE is on the loose and threatening the kingdom! Can Thea, Juno and Leaf, three fiery princesses, save the day? (You bet they can - but who will save the ogre!?) There are surprises in store in this empowering, funny, roller-coaster ride of an adventure . . . It's Frozen meets Indiana Jones with energy-fuelled artwork from a highly talented debut picture book illustrator.
Don't Mess with a Princess is a fun story about three girls who decide they can defeat an ogre causing mayhem in the kingdom but they soon learn there's more to the story than they first thought.
This is a great story that is a fun and exciting read in which you'll want the characters to succeed in their task. The children loved this story and it kept their attention throughout as we got to see all of what the girls went through to try and save their kingdom. It's brilliant how this story shows the girls characters with such strength and determination as this isn't necessarily typical for books of this kind and it's great that it shows that girls are capable of just as much as anyone else, especially with belief and friends by their sides.
The illustrations are full of details and there's so much to look at on each page. The children were so fascinated by each page they didn't always want the page turned over! It's also really nice how the book appears to have some different textures with the way the illustrations have been done which adds an interesting look to the book.
This is a fantastic book that is a great adventure and shows that girls are full of strength and determination and that sometimes things are not always as it seems. We loved this story and following the girls through this exciting fairytale themed adventure.
Richtig so.
An awful ogre is terrorizing the kingdom and the king wants his precious granddaughters to stay safe. But the princesses have other ideas. So, they go on an adventure involving danger, dancing and a daring rescue to stop the evil ogre.
Aimed at children aged 3-6, Don't Mess with a Princess seamlessly blends the old with the new. While the setting may be traditional, the princesses are anything but. The illustrations are full of color and detail, conveying both darkness and danger as well as action and humor.
An engaging read that will keep young eyes glued to the pages as the princesses save the day.
