This was a simple, if outdated, overview of the fundamental techniques of fly fishing. While still a fun read, I think many of the techniques popular today were developed after its publication in the 70's. Dick has a fun writing style, very conversational. The book reads like a small-group lecture, and parts of the book are written from the point of view of a trip with a friend. I found this in a used-book store a while back and it was a fun read in preparation of spring.
