Rate this book
They say if you die in your dreams you die in real life. For Dream Walkers, this is only too true.

A misfit group of survivors on an apocalyptic earth have the ability to Dream Walk to a different world. Unknown to other survivors, the Dream Walkers saved earth from total annihilation by the Tekkas, a race referred to by non Dream Walkers as demons. The intelligent race of Tekkas built a portal from the Dream Walker world to earth, and the Dream Walkers stopped it. Now the Tekkas have the aid of a powerful wizard and are rebuilding the portal. Emery only knows that he has dreams of falling from very high up, only to jolt awake at the last second. Soon, though, he will know loss and fear, but also friendship and loyalty as he learns he is a Dream Walker himself, and must help stop the Tekkas.

"Dream Walkers" is set in a post apocalyptic world, where strange creatures from another world waged war on mankind and decreased the population of 9 billion to 4 million. The protagonist is Emery who was orphaned a few years back and is now  living with his best friend Jason's family. While on an errand he has an encounter with a mysterious and strange man who tells Emery that he is a Dream Walker i.e he can travel from Earth to another world in his sleep. This stranger claims that he knew Emery's   parents and reveals some hidden truths about their deaths . so the quest to find Emery's parents killer begins.  But it won't be as simple has he may have thought .
The writing is easy to follow and yet sophisticated. Its a fine book and very entertaining. The world building is mediocre.

The Dream Walkers is the authors debut novel & WOW!- I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Colorful & enchanting characters keep you wanting more & it was difficult to lay the book down. Well written and the authors style of writing makes the story easy to follow. There are multiple instances of past events to lay foundation, then the story easily transforms back to the present. Many of the characters could ‘shift’ into other creatures & I found this fascinating & interesting. Hands down one of the best fantasy books I have read!
