Jace was the first book in the Black Hornets MC series by Savannah Rylan. Although the series was a spin off from Rylan’s Dead Souls MC series, it can be read as a stand-alone.
Rylan set the stage for the MC and the series within the first book, Jace. The MC was known as Guns for Hire. They were the good guys and the go to for protection against the bad guys. They were the best and they were highly compensated for their services.
Jace was the VP of the Black Hornets MC. He was also a professed player when it came to women. The king of the one night stands, but never anything more.
Leti was in deep. She was being manipulated by the Rojas Diablos Cartel in an attempt to save her younger brother, who was kidnapped by the Cartel. As expected, when the two met sparks ignited and the story began.
I loved both characters. Leti was strong, loyal, sassy and independent. And Jace was fierce and loyal but had a softness reserved only for Leti.
I also loved the suspenseful vibe of the storyline. Although it was a quick read, it was developed well and intriguing. It ended with a “happy for now” and a teaser for the next book so the expectation was that the Cartel MC conflict will continue throughout the entire series while Rylan navigates through each MC member’s forever love story. Maverick is up next and I can’t wait!

In this book, we have Jace, who’s a member of the Black Hornets MC. Jace was a paramedic for a few years, now runs with the MC club. Jace seems to be a jack of all trades with what he does. Cooking is something he loves to do.
We also have Leti. Leti is an American, however, she also has ties to Mexico. She has been running drugs for a cartel. She will go into Mexico, pick up the drugs and bring them back into the US, she is a mule for them. She is only given so much money per day for food, and clothes. Leti’s brother is being held by the cartel, however after two months of not hearing from him, she’s not sure if he is even alive.
Leti doesn’t know what to do to escape the cartel. On one of her runs she is traveling through Redding, and see’s The Black Hornets MC drive by. Leti thinks they might be able to help her. So, she goes to them to ask for help.
Leti and Jace have a conversation and Jace agrees to bring the matter to the club for them to vote on it. Leti and Jace have an instant connection. Jace invites Leti back to his place as he knows she has know where else to go in town. However, a lot more than sleeping goes on! Leti can’t believe how nice and kind Jace is. Jace loves her curves and her body. He can’t seem to get enough of her.
Will Jace and his MC club be able to help Leti? Is Leti’s brother still alive? Will Jace be able to keep Leti?
I did find a few errors in the book. One scene says they are naked in bed and then a paragraph later they are removing their clothes? Just some items that should be cleaned up.

This is the first story in this Black Hornets MC series. This story is about Leti who has been forced into working for the cartel smuggling drugs in and out of the country. The leverage they are using against her is that they kidnapped her younger brother. After two months they have not given her any proof of life and keep pushing her to continue without an end in site. On her way back into the states with a suitcase full of drugs Leti sees some bikers and hopes they can help her out so she follows them to a bar and walks in not knowing what’s going to happen to her! Jace takes one look at her and knows he wants her. After Jace realizes there’s more going on he gets Leti to relax and she gives him her story and Jace promises to help her and keep her safe along with his MC. Jace and Leti have one hot attraction towards one another and Jace becomes very protective of Leti. The cartel is ruthless and feels as if they owe Leti and they cause trouble for her. Will Jace be able to find her brother and bring him home or will the cartel take of him? I look forward to reading about the next MC brother. Leti runs drugs for the cartel to keep her brother alive. Leti knows she has to do whatever they want her to do, and she has, but what if she could find someone to help her and Nicholas.
Jace is second in the Black Hornets MC. Jace liked playing the role of protector, and being paid well to do it.
I thought this story was okay. Have and his group are really what I think of when thinking of a MC. The story itself wasn't bad. I thought it a bit odd that Leti just left Mexico thinking the cartel man would take her and the first day in California she goes willingly into the first male's bed she sees.
Be ready for somewhat of a cliffhanger ending. Not all issues get resolved.

OMG Jace is a great start to The Black Hornets MC, This all about Jace and Leti, This has plenty action, emotions and Leti brother is kidnaped. That had me flipping to the next page to find out what will happen, They have chemistry that was off the charts. Thats it you get no more from me and i dont do spoilers. A must read, I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy. Brilliant start to a new series Savannah.

I couldn't get enough of Leti & Jace. It was an emotional roller coaster with lots of action. Great characters. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book.

I didn’t connect to any of the characters, as they were barely written about.
The plot sounded really good, Leti needs help desperately, as she tries to save her brothers life, as the cartel kidnapped him and threatened her. She’s made to work as a drug mule, until one day she snaps, and follows some Mc bikers, as she thinks they’ll help her. Jace and The Black Hornets work protection details, (How convenient that she ran to them.) and the Mc are determined to stop the drugs coming into their town.
So why did I really not enjoy it? There’s way too much sex, and I ended up skimming pages, there’s no explanation of who people are, so I didn’t connect to them. I didn’t know till the end that Jace is the vice president! Who is the sergeant at arms? Who is the enforcer? How old is Dean, who is the president? Leti never sets foot in the clubhouse. So we have no clue who anybody is, do they have bunnies? Then there are the mistakes. Leti is dropping the drugs at the arranged spot, when she sees the Mc ride by. She gets out the cab, goes into a park, hesitates about not meeting her contact, has a think about it, sends him a text saying she’s poorly, and drops the suitcase under a bench. Goes back to the cab and tells him to follow the bikes. Are the riders driving really really slowly? They would have disappeared by then! The cab driver wouldn’t have called the police? As she’s obviously dropping something really bad. She says she’s been working for the cartel for two months, then later on it’s a few months. She hints she’s been sexually assaulted by them, but she hasn’t, because she told the cartel member that she wasn’t having sex with him. So he accepted that??? 😂
The worst bit about this book is Leti. She acts really stupid. She doesn’t demand proof of life for her brother, she just follows orders. Even the cartel man calls her stupid. When she’s sat safe at Jace’s house, and nobody knows where she is, she goes to meet him. Forehead slap!
I really can’t decide whether to read the second book. As the author seems to have written that she’s not very bright either. As she has no clue that her dad is the leader of the cartel.

This is a new one for me. Poor Leti trying her best to help her brother who’s been kidnapped by the cartel. She is a mule, has been for the past 2 months and it’s taking a lot out of her. Now the cartel has changed up things and she is worried she will never get her brother back. Being a mule for them has been scary but it’s necessary then they change the shipping arrangements and I know I’m screwed. I have always driven across the border pretending to be a makeup consultant and it has worked. Now I’m flying and out of my element. Jace, being in the MC is my life and we protect what is ours and make sure we run the scum who deal drugs in our territory out. We have done this for years and won’t stop either. We are an MC not only looking out for ourselves but our community too. And just when we think things are settling down the bar we are in opens and a drop dead gorgeous woman appears. My heart takes a leap and I know I’m fucked. She thinks we are saviors like an MC back in her home town. And she is willing and able to ask for our help to get her brother back, but at what cost and to what lengths. Will we get through this as one or be screwed at the go and never get her brother back. Leti is being blackmailed by the Rojas Diablo Cartel. They have kidnapped her brother and forced her to work for them. If Leti refuses they will kill him. Frightened and completely discouraged, Leti approaches Jace the VP for the Black Hornets MC. She has been told that the MC has helped others and could possibly rescue her brother. Can the MC take on the cartel and win? The huge element of danger, deeply emotional moments and sizzling hot sex scenes are everything I want and need in a spectacular romance. “Jace” is another must read from Ms. Rylan.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the Black Hornets MC series. The Black Hornets are known for being muscle for hire and being bodyguards. When Leti goes into the bar looking for the Black Hornets help, she meets Jace. Jace listens to Leti's story about being a drug mule for the cartel against her will in hopes of saving her brother and decides the MC has to help her. Jace tells Dean, the president, about the cartel trying to move drugs in their territory again and they decide to stop them. Jace takes Leti back to his house to protect her and they both know their attractions to each other are going to be impossible to fight. I loved this book. I loved Jace, i think he was a good guy who wanted to protect Leti. I really look forward to reading more of this series.

Leti’s on her own and in trouble; big trouble she didn’t create but can’t escape. The cartel’s kidnapped the brother she raised as they were all left of the family. Though refusing provide proof her brother’s alive, Leti’s handler has forced her to smuggle drugs for the last two months. At the end of her rope as the Jace leads a club Leti’s mind wanders to fond memories of another club, she has her cab follow them.
Unfamiliarity and looks are what drew Jace’s eyes and body to Leti. All he wants to do is help her. Angry after hearing her story, Jace is anxious to share news the cartel has returned to their town and using Leti to distribute their drugs. To this cynical reader’s taste, it’s a predictable outing with a good hook for an ongoing villain but much too hurried even for a short.

I received this book for an honest review. JACE!!!!! Well done Savannah on this new series: The Black Hornets MC. This story about Jace and Leti was filled with action, drama, murder and hot romance that will have you wanting more. Leti became a mule for the Mexican cartel so she can save her brother who they kidnapped. She seeks the help of the Black Hornets MC to save her brother and end the mess she finds herself in. When she meets Jace VP of the Black Hornets sparks ignite between them as she asks for his help. Jace finds that he and his brothers will do all they can to help her. Will Jace be able to save the woman he loves in time and stop the Cartel? This is a must read and I can't wait to see what happens next with the Black Hornets MC and all these sexy men.

JACE, The Black Hornets MC, written by Savannah Rylan had me mesmerized from the start. This is a MC storyline with a successfully written female character, Leti, co-starring with the lead male cover character, Jace. Because the story begins with a strong Leti following her mama bear instincts and follows the MC into the bar where she meets Jace and there they begin their relationship and the MC involvement. The progression of their relationship changes both of them immensely in ways that can't be undone, more so for Leti. The ending is both happy and a nail biter of a cliffhanger. I wholeheartedly recommend this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment.

Great!
I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book about I just really don't know what to say this book was about. Because it really was kind of confusing. Jake and Leti they met under very unusual circumstances. She needed his and his MC club help to try to get her brother back. Things didn't work out the way that she thought it would all work out though. Overall this was a pretty good book. And is going to carry on over into the next book . Great repeat, I recommend this book to all romance and MC readers.

A well written edgey action packed steamy romance. This exciting intense story is full of twists and turns, has an engaging storyline, intense danger, it is fast paced, undeniable instant attraction, and sizzing hot chemistry. Leti and Jace were great relatable strong characters that had sizzling hot sex scenes. I was addicted from page one with Leti being blackmailed and basically owned by Cartel if she would be able to ever find a way out. I can't wait for more from this amazing start of a series. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.

This is a great book. I was instantly captured by the story. Leti has a rough life. She is trying to safe her brother while being a mule for the cartel. At a split decision she approached Jace and the guys asking for help. Jace quickly realizes Leti is in a lot more danger than she expects and he is more determined than ever to keep her safe. When things heat up Leti has to act, even when it will tear her apart.
This is book one in the Hornets MC Series and what a great start. The storyline keeps you engaged to the end. Jumping right into book 2 to hear more about Maverick.

This is the very exciting and enjoyable start to The Black Hornets MC series. Jace is 100% alpha male, and filled with intensity. Leti is determined and protective. The chemistry between these two burns super hot! There is plenty of drama and action to keep you fully engaged and on the edge of your seat. A terrific read and a great start to this new series. By my own accord I'm posting a truthful review.

O loved this book and couldn't put it down! The twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I love how this book stays connected to the Dead Souls. Jace wow even I fell in love with him. Leti has been through so much in her life yet she's a strong women and faces the challenge before her. These two together are like an electric current and couldn't be more perfect for one another. I for one can't wait to see what happens next!

I am sorry but I have not much to write about this story because it is just perfect! I LOVED IT!
Great storyline and plot. Fantastic likeable characters with amazing chemistry.
A story that was a mix of emotional ups and downs. Tears, laughs and cries. Absolutely captivating read. It has it all!

Loaded with hot bikers and romance
This biker series starts out with a big bang. I'm hooked on this series already but honestly who could blame me. This book had everything. A spunky but desperate Leti took a chance that led her right into the saving arms of a sexy biker. A sinister mystery is revealed. And the club makes a deadly enemy.
This was a great read and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

The Black Hornets MC series is related to the Dead Souls series. They are in the protection business and Jace is the club vice president. Leti is in trouble with the cartel and comes to the MC for help. Jace is immediately drawn to Leti and personally protects her. Jace and Leti face danger and uncertainty together as they take on the cartel. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left an honest review

I’m not too sure how I feel about this. It’s particularly tricky for me to write this review. I just came off an awesome series and may still have a book hangover so I want to be fair to it lol it had some very suspenseful unexpected moments, some stereotypical MC moments and some draw dropping moments. I shall continue on to the next book to see if this is a happy for now or if Chaos is going to ensue!

Jace and Leti meet under stressful circumstances. A local rival has her brother as hostage to get her to comply with their demands. She goes to meet with the Black Hornets motorcycle club to see if they could help. Jace is her first point of contact. And of course the MC agrees to help. Jace decides to keep her close and takes her to his home for protection and things heat up quickly between them. I really enjoyed this story and I intend to read the rest of the series.

This series is a slam dunk! Jace and Leti are smoking hot! Leti is out to save her brother from the Mexican Cartel by being a for them. When she comes across Jace VP for the Black Hornets MC, she asks him for help in getting her brother away from the cartel and is willing to do whatever it takes. This is one packs a whole lot of MC action that will have your adrenalin pumping! I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
