Aldo Moretta has always been the hero. The strongest, the fastest, the bravest. He fought for his country and built a thriving business in his hometown. With friends and family never more than a few blocks away, there was just one thing he was missing. The right girl.

Lucy Score writes amazingly. I highly, highly recommend Finally Mine. I can't wait to see what Lucy comes out with next!
Ok now I can move to how this story moved me. Normally, I look beyond the story to see whats underneath or if its relatable. Well in this book there is nothing you have to look for, it ...more
Aldo is a great guy, a soldier, hero and friend. Gloria is a loving woman who feels deeply and has a previous toxic relationship. Aldo and Gloria have circled around each other for years. Never being on the same page. They fight - for their chance, for themselves, for their relationship. I loved that they ...more
My dreams came true with the release of Finally Mine. 2 1/2-ish years ago I had an Amazon book recommendation for a book called Pretend Youre Mine by Lucy Score. I loved the blurb and the reviews were good, so I purchased. As I read Pretend Youre Mine over the next few days, I fell in love with the characters and the town of Benevolence; this story and the characters in it stayed with me. I wanted more and Ive waited 2 1/2 years for this return to Benovolence. It felt like putting on your ...more
If you read Pretend You're Mine, you know the basics of Gloria and Aldo's story. Even knowing the basics, though, I was blown away chapter after chapter as events unfolded.
I have loved all the heroines Lucy Score writes, but Gloria has quickly become my favorite. Watching her loved ones rallying around her to lift her up was amazing, but seeing her learn to be strong and ...more
Gloria's character and her story touched me on such a deep level that I had trouble separating her story from my own. And I bet that I am not alone in this thinking because unfortunately, Gloria is so many of us. Reading her story was hard at times. I had to step away before the anxiety became too much but it was also a wonderfully beautiful reminder that women like...more
Moving on from a bad relationship is never easy and Gloria spent ten years being told her worth. Aldo was deployed, came home a hero, but lost part of his leg ...more
The long-awaited return to Benevolence was worth every minute. Aldo and Glorias story needed to be told. A story fraught with emotion, unending hope, the power of love, and the knowledge that through endurance (mind and body) comes great strength.
For the purest enjoyment, read Pretend Youre Mine, the first novel, before Finally Mine. Read both! Youll want to live in Lucy Scores Benevolence.
If you arent yet, this is an author to follow. Score delivers, with every single ...more
I received this ARC for a honest review. GREAT JOB❤❤❤ ...more
I have to admit, I wish I could have gone back to read PYM before reading FM, but due to time constraints (not to mention the SNEAK ATTACK of this book on us unsuspecting readers!), I was not able to. (I did find a paperback copy of PYM at a used bookstore ...more

This book was really something. Gloria's growth as a domestic abuse survivor is written so well. It is definitely the best depiction I have read. Aldo is the hero who waits for her, gets deployed and then injured. Aldo has to deal with a lot after his injury from feeling like he is not enough, to the physical and emotional pain of recovery from a war injury.
I love these two! Their chemistry is off the chart. ...more
We first met Aldo and Gloria in Pretend You're Mine. This book runs along the same timeline as that book but from ...more
If there is a better fictional hero than Aldo Moretta, I sure haven't found him yet. The perfect combo of surly and cocky while still being the best friend everyone wants to have and the supportive, caring boyfriend every woman deserves.
Gloria is a dynamic heroine who realistically represents so many survivors of abuse. You can't help but fall in love with her and cheer her on as she grows and heals throughout the novel.
Lucy Score never disappoints, and this story is no exception. ...more
Sometimes life can leave you on the ground looking up. That's how Gloria felt after 10years of beatings and abuse by her husband. When she finally gets the nerve up to leave him for good, he almost kills her. She is saved by a mysterious woman who just rolled into town. With her husband in prison, Gloria moves back in with her mother and tries to put her life back together.

So glad to finally read Aldo and Glorias story! This story is heartbreaking and heartwarming. Gloria is ready to escape her life of domestic violence and in the process almost loses her life. Harper who had stepped in to help her soon becomes a friend, something that Gloria has lost over the last ten years. To watch her grow and accept support was so heartwarming.
Aldo has had a long time crush on Gloria and makes his intentions known to date her when he comes back from six months ...more
