Since I'm a huge fan of Midsomer Murders, I had to read this book by the lovely Inspector Barnaby. Of course this was written before MM was on the air and I hadn't seen a second of Bergerac, but that didn't matter. Nettles has a real dry wit and doesn't take himself seriously. This was fun to read just as a tongue-in-cheek memoir of the pitfalls of being an actor and a minor celebrity.

Hilarious romp through minicelebrtiy

The book was well written and hilarious through and through. The actor is full of funny anecdotes and wise words about fame and the world of the minicelebrity.

I classified this book as a memoir giving Mr. Nettles the benefit of the doubt that all the experiences he relates are true. I found this book in a hardcover edition through an online bookstore ...more

Nettles has a sense of humor I enjoy. I was hoping for a little more in depth insights.
