This was a great story to read on the weekend and I liked every single minute of it! It had everything readers want in a good story, especially the chemistry between the main characters and although they have to overcome some obstacles, they manage to do it and find their happy ending together :) <3

Tammy loved her life at Pyrite is was better than what she has before. She was just lonely watching on as friends got married. When she was asked to help guide Connor a new guest at the retreat she didn't mind helping out. There's something about Connor that draws her to him. Connor is there to learn the ways of the retreat but once he sees Tammy he knows he wants her. During their time together they get close but when the other men comment about him marrying Tammy he backs off from her. Tammy is upset in the change in Connor but doesn't know what has happened. When Connor catches her one day and tries to explain things get heated between them and they end up having sex. Not long after Connor disappears Tammy is worried someone found out about them and made him leave. What she doesn't know is Connor has some secrets of his own and that he is about to rock her world to pieces. Will Tammy forgive Connor for his deceit? Can they be together again for real?


This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Tammy and Connor is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

I want to start by saying that I read this book pretty quickly and really enjoyed the characters and much of the storyline. That said the beginning of this book was a snooze fest. It was so boring, with the story moving so slowly I almost stopped reading it. The Ranch, which took up over 40% of the book for the most part didn’t work for me. Tammy spent her days doing the same thing over and over again. Then Connor/Kyle shows up at the ranch and things become a little better as the story finally picks up its pace. Some of the wording used was a bit off and some parts of the story felt entirely different from others. In the end I did find the story very enjoyable, and I really liked Tammy and Kyle, but so much time was spent developing The Ranch that I feel the characters really suffered for it. We really learned nothing about Kyle except he was a Navy Seal. Tammy had way more development than Kyle, yet I still had a difficult time connecting with her character at first. I really wanted to give this one 4 stars but my overall experience just won’t allow me to do so.

Wow! What a great story. I loved the unexpected setting of this one. The story was well thought out. Tammy and Kyle were such a great pair. The whole story was well thought out. Tammy thought she found a place where she was able to leave all the stress and hustle and bustle of the life she had working and trying to live. Kyle is a Navy SEAL sent in to investigate the commune she has been living in for the past three years. Something doesn't appear right. The chemistry between Tammy and Kyle; who goes by Conner while undercover at Pyrite's Ranch. I don't want to give too much of the story away. I will say that this book will have you at the edge of your seats wondering what the secret is about the ranch that sent Kyle undercover to find out. Tammy is a woman who once she meets Kyle begins to question whether staying there or returning to her hold life would be worth giving up the peace she seems to feel at the ranch. This is a fantastic read with a great HEA!

In this book we meet Tammy and Kyle. When these two first meet Tammy believes she has found herself in paradise. She lives on a self sustaining ranch does her chores and communes with nature. However Kyle is sent into this ranch to find out why a place that is supposed to be self sustaining is bring in such a profit. Kyle knows he is there to do a job but there is something about Tammy that makes him want to protect her. However all secrets have a way of coming to the surface. Can these two really find a HEA after everything is said and done or will the time they spent together on the ranch and what followed break them forever?

This is a great book. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. Loved this story about Kyle and Tammy. Pyrite Ranch is a relaxing commune and is where Tammy came to release her stress, but after a week decides to start, that was three years ago. When a new member arrives, Xavier asks Tammy to show him the ropes. Kyle is undercover as Connor, working with the seals on a mission. Even he meets Tammy, things change, get the info and protect her. They become fast friends. If they were in the outside, he would have asked for a date, but here it's not allowed. Fighting the attraction is really hard. When they give in finally it's raw and primal. Once the mission completes, Kyle doesn't see Tammy for to years. But they have to keep their distance, it it could compromised the lawsuit. Unfortunately for them Xavier's partner escaped during the raid and has it in for Tammy. Their lives are put in danger but love prevales. Great story with a storyline that holds suspense and mystery.

I have read several books by Layla and Holly, and love reading books written in dual point of view. Tammy has lived at Pyrite Ranch for 3 years after coming here for a vacation destination and deciding to stay as she loved the simplistic life style. Yet after her friend marries, she is beginning to feel lonesome until Kyle arrives on the ranch because this seems like the ideal solution to his owning a farm by himself. Kyle is an undercover Navy SEAL on a mission to find out what is going on behind the scenes of this self-sustaining ranch with large revenues. Kyle and Tammy spend their meal times together, do yoga and work in the fields, until one night they shared something more. Yet everything changes afterwards. Will Kyle get the information he needs on Pyrite Ranch and save Tammy? You have to read to find out and you won’t want to put the book down. Lots of plot twists to keep you guessing.

If you're looking for sizzling chemistry between our hero, Connor/Kyle, and the heroine, Tammy, with plenty of twists and turns that kept me engrossed in the storyline. He is a Navy SEAL that goes undercover at a commune where Tammy is resting and he saves her from what is going on there. They lose touch but then meet, briefly, one night and have the most passionate night imaginable which leaves her in a 'delicate' situation as they say! I loved the way the authors, Layla Valentine and Holly Rayner, have created such wonderful characters and you will need to get your fans/ac out and make sure they are in fully working order as you're going to need nit switched on set to MAX COOL! This is book 6 of the Once a SEAL, Always A SEAL series and I encourage to try the other books in the series too as they are just as good. Tammy is stressed with her job and goes to a retreat to try to relax three years later she is still there. When Connor?kyle arrives at the retreat she is tasked with showing him around. What she doesn't know is that he is actually a navy seal sent to do reconinance on what is actually going on at the retreat. The steam between these to is immense and they soon start a relationship. When the retreat is raided Tammy recognises one of the seals it is Kyle now she has to wonder is what they had was real or just part of his cover. Fast forward two years and they haven't seen or had contact with one another when they meet again at the trial they have to decide if what they had was real and worth fighting for or if they really should keep walking away. This is another great read from a very talented author I always enjoy her books and this one was no exception

Another good read by Layla Valentine & Holly Rayner with In Deep, Book 6 in the Once a Seal, Always a Seal series. If you real appreciate the military / seal genre, you may even consider this a great read with the mystery & suspense. The characters & their backstories were well developed & written well and their chemistry was oh so smokin' hot. But I would be remiss if I didn't mention something about this book didn't do it for me. Maybe it's because I have read too many books in this series or too many of similar type by several different authors, not sure. However, these authors are due credit, where credit is due so I still certainly would recommend reading this book for yourself as it is well worth your time.

Pyrite Ranch a commune where people go for a break or to live to get away from the hustle and bustle life and is the setting for Connor/Kyle and Tammy's story , she now lives there after spending a week there 3 years ago , Connor is a seal and is under cover to find out what is actually going on there , after getting to know Tammy he knows that she is innocent in all what's going on and vows to protect her /but what secrets does the commune have , a well written story that keeps your attention with it's twists and turns , secrets , drama , the chemistry between Connor and Tammy and so much more , a great addition to this series from Layla and can't wait for the next book

Tammy wasn’t happy with her life when she went to the retreat in Pyrite. After spending a week there she decided to move to the self sustaining commune. She works mainly as a seamstress and she enjoys this life away from the outside world. But seeing her friends get married has her feeling lonely. A newcomer, Connor, has come to the commune and Xavier, the leader of the commune, asks her to show him their ways. This is beginning of a beautiful friendship because it can be anything more. This book surprised me, it took a turn in the story that I didn’t see coming! I loved the different storyline it was refreshing. A must read!

The story moves along at a brisk pace; is action-packed with a whole lot of crazy. Loveable characters - the chemistry between Tammy and Kyle is instant, off the charts and undeniable. Finding forever undercover

Loved Tammy & Kyle's story . I've read hundreds of book from this genre, billionaires, BDSM , rockstars, mafia , hitmen, MC, & dare i say SEAL's , but this one was so different. It isn't the same sort of story you would expect .
Tammy thinks she has got the most perfect, peaceful life at the commune , but with the appearance of Conner things start to change for her.
Kyle has got a job to do , bring down a dangerous cult leader . He soon finds out that most in people there aren't aware what their leader is up to . He hates lying to the people especially Tammy, but he can't blow his cover .

I really enjoyed the book, but it took me up to a third through the book, for the story to captivate me. It is about how Tammy turns adversity into success and falls in love with Kyle. The story has drama, thought provoking issues and adventure. I am impressed with the way the author wrote about the emotional roller-coaster of emotions that Tammy went through after she left the ranch and how she was able to build herself into a strong woman. Kudos.

This is a unique look at a situation that doesn't usually get a lot of attention. Tammy is a naive woman when she meets "Connor"... but "Connor" isn't who he pretends to be. And that's the only spoiler I'm willing to give about this book. It's an emotional ride, with twists and turns that will surprise you. It might even open your eyes to something you hadn't thought about before. I really enjoyed this one.💕💗💕

Tammy thought her life was perfect before Conner showed up at the commune and now all she is thinking about is breaking the rules as the attraction she feels towards Conner she hasnt felt begore for any other man.
Navy Seal Conner/Kyle's orders were simple, infiltrate the cult and find evidence of wrong doing. Things arent so simple as the first person he befriends is a sexy redhead and all he can think about is her.

This was a nail biting suspenseful romance that will have you on the edge of your seat.

A well written story with nice storyline and plot. Amazing chemistry between the main characters. They are likeable and well described. A couple that have to go through a lot before they can have their HEA. I like it is written in dual POV because that gives the reader more of thoughts and feelings of the main characters. Would have liked there to be more chapters with Kyle as the main character.
A story that has a slow start but luckily it develops to be better. I would have liked a bit more romance, drama or just something.

This was a really interesting book - I enjoyed the read through the twists and turns. The story of Connor/Kyle and Tammy was an intriguing one.
Kyle, a Navy SEAL was undercover trying to expose a cult leader. Tammy was there under her own free will and made the Ranch seem idyllic. Can Conner/Kyle keep from being the bad guy and have a relationship with Tammy.
This was again an interesting read that kept my attention. Hope you enjoy it as well

This book will keep you on your toes. The life in a cult isn’t one those involved realize what’s going on sometimes and when it’s revealed, life is difficult to continue out in reality. These two have a chemistry that undeniable from the beginning, but they have to face not being with one another when everything blows up. Things get tense, calm down, then get tense again. This is a definite page-turner.

This is the sixth book in this series by this author. I loved this story the best out of all of them I've read. This story is a crazy, emotional, enjoyable read. You will fall in love with the characters from the start. This is a fast paced action packed read. Another fantastic story from this author. Kyle meets Tammy when he is under cover and on a mission and sparks fly. Two years later they meet at the trial for the mission Kyle was on and those sparks are still there. They end up spending the night together, they didn’t know it would change their lives. Fast-paced with plenty of drama, an entertaining story and great characters. I liked it.
